My daughter has been going since she was 11 months old (now 4). When I set out to find a nursery for her I knew I was a tricky customer, especially as I am an Early Years teacher. I wanted it all. Somewhere that would nurture my child, feed her nutritious meals, help her make friends, teach her new
things, be kind to her, let her be curious and keep her safe. When we looked around I knew we had found somewhere she would be happy. The staff have been nothing but professional, friendly and warm. Not only looking after our little girl but answering numerous phone calls from me, talking me through all my worries. It feels like a home, and she comes home from nursery happy, talking about Barnaby's dinners, what she got up to in the garden and singing songs.
I cannot thank St Ives Nursery enough for the level of care they have given my daughter and us as a family. I often get asked in my role, 'where would you recommend sending our baby', and I always answer St Ives Nursery.

I am so thrilled to be able to have the opportunity to give St Ives Nursery this feedback.

I have 3 children, now 14, 7 and 4, who have all attended the nursery aged from the ages of 9 months to 4 years old. When I first was looking for nurseries, the minute I walked into St Ives Nursery I knew

it was the right choice. The nursery nurses and management staff are exceptional and have provided a happy, safe, loving and stimulating environment for all my children.

The nursery never rests on its laurels and has made continuous improvements throughout my children's time there, creating colourful and safe outdoor space and rooms with gorgeous displays of the children's arts and crafts work.

Most recently, my youngest daughter has been visiting a care home for older people in the town with her nursery class, where they sing and chat with the residents there - what a wonderful experience for all involved.

Thank you, St Ives Nursery for all your years of outstanding nurture and love.

This is our second child to attend the nursery. His elder brother thrived in the nursery environment and he is now doing the same. The recent improvements and refurbishment are amazing and it is great to see the continued investment in the children's future. The staff are friendly and professional and
provide an excellent level of care. It's a great nursery.

Overall we have been very impressed with St Ives Nursery from the day my son started at 9 months old. He is now 18 months old and has gained so much through his nursery experience. The staff are incredible as are the facilities and meals. He’s always been happy at nursery and I’ve never once regretted
sending him. He is encouraged to try new activities and has a genuine relationship with the nursery workers and lights up when he sees them! I couldn’t reccomend St Ives Nursery enough!

Both of our children have attended the St Ives Nursery from around the age of 1. Our son is currently attending the nursery and our daughter attended until she started school. We were nervous putting our daughter into nursery from such a young age but it wasn't long before we saw how much she was gaining
from being at the nursery and she thrived there. So it was an easy decision to have our son go there and once again, it has been a great choice. The staff are incredibly supportive not just to the children but to us parents as well. Our children have developed strong bonds with the staff who are incredibly nurturing and caring whilst also helping with their early years development. It is going to be a sad day for us when our son leaves the nursery!
I would not hesitate in recommending this nursery to other parents, it's fabulous.

My daughter has been at this nursery since she was 10 months old and left in September to start school. Each and every member of staff that has dealt with my 'most prized possession' has done so with such professionalism and made me feel completely at ease when I returned to work after my maternity
leave (we all know how difficult it is to choose who will care for your baby whilst you earn the pennies). The staff have been with her through every step of her journey from weaning to walking to getting ready to start big school! I couldn't recommend this nursery enough!

I handed over my 4-month-old baby boy and all the girls helped nurture him into the gorgeous, bright, polite and inquisitive 4-year old I have today. I can’t thank St Ives nursery enough for making his time there as safe and comfortable as it could be, I looked for a home away from home and that’s what
I found but with the amazing learning and development activities put together for the kids delivered with love and patience.

Have used St. Ives Nursery for both of my children, based on my and my children's experience I wouldn't consider using any other nursery. They have grown/are growing into confident, happy, confident and extremely intelligent little people. I have recommended several people to you already and they are
all too really happy with their own experience.

My daughter spent 3 very happy years at St Ives nursery when we first moved to the area and now my son spends 4 very happy days here a week. The nursery is absolutely fantastic and my son especially sees the staff as an extension of his family. I've seen first hand the investment, time and resources
that the staff have put into the nursery and the children thrive. The staff turnover is low, the same staff that looked after my daughter are now looking after my son. It is just the loveliest place for little ones, and it makes the guilt of being a working mum that much easier knowing your child is safe, happy and making lovely friends. Can't praise it highly enough!

My 3 year old has been here since he was 12 months old and he loves it!
Of all the nurseries we looked at, this one felt the most homely and I felt the most comfortable about leaving my son here. It is a lovely old house so has different rooms for different ages whilst at the same time, it is open
and transparent which I really like too.
The girls are lovely, as are all the staff- the office staff are very professional and friendly and they are always very understanding. The cooks are too and always say hello, it’s like a little family really.
If anything has ever been bothering me or my son the staff have always offered advice and reassurance to us which is really helpful. I would highly recommend St Ives Nursery and some of my friend's children have also chosen this nursery and are very happy.

Our 14-month old son will shortly be leaving St Ives Nursery and we're so sad about it. The nursery is well-equipped, warm and bustling. Everything runs smoothly; the ladies in the office are brilliant and they really care about security and keeping parents informed. The nursery nurses in Ducklings
are all wonderfully caring and keep the babies entertained. Our son also very much appreciates the homemade food! Highly recommended.

I am extremely happy with my son being in this nursery!
The level of care from all the staff members is impeccable and they are all so friendly and kind to all children and parents.
The staff are extremely efficient with all aspects of the nursery; including the children's care and the communication
with parents.
I feel my son is in very safe hands here. His learning, especially his speech has improved incredibly since he first began at St Ives Nursery and I know he always enjoys his time there and looks forward to it each day.
I would most definitely recommend this nursery to all parents in the area!

All the staff are amazing, always have a smile and always welcoming. My little girl has been there almost a year and she's always happy to go. I wasn't sure about putting my little one in the nursery at the age of two but she's incredibly confident now in what she does.

If it is naming colours or

singing 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star', I always get feedback on what she's been up to, so I never miss a thing.

She is also given a healthy snack so I know she has not gone hungry. I would definitely recommend this nursery to all those parents who want to be confident that their kids are in good hands thank you so much to everyone for there brilliant work.

My daughter attended St Ives Nursery from the age of 9 months to school Age and my son from 12 months.

The Nursery is fantastic, I couldn’t recommend it more highly. Both my children have special dietary needs and nothing has been too much trouble for the nursery staff when it comes to their needs,

including my daughter when she had a long-term illness and needed medication daily. It was stressful for me when she was ill but they were so supportive to me as well, as a parent.

Nursery staff have always given advice when requested and give fantastic feedback not only on the day’s achievements and fun but longer-term learning.

Communication with the Nursery is brilliant. The staff always come back to me really quickly and are always willing to help whenever they can.

It’s so hard to go back to work, leaving your baby in someone else’s care for the first time but soon the friendly faces at the nursery became familiar to us and I am so grateful for the support they’ve given.

Current Review Score: 10.0 (9.965)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.965) out of 10 for St Ives Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 31 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 31 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.965 for St Ives Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (359 Excellents x 5) + (13 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 372 Ratings = 4.965
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for St Ives Nursery is based on 31 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 81 number of registered child places is 16.2, which has been reached with 31 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
