St Ives Nursery is a private day care nursery located in the centre of St Ives.

It is close to both the A14 for access to Cambridge and easy rail links for commuters into London.   

In 2018, the nursery completed a refurbishment of all areas; creating a warm, unique and stimulating learning experience for all children.

The nursery is open full-time from 7.30am – 6.00pm caring for children from 3 months to 5 years.

At St Ives Nursery, trained, caring staff ensure children develop socially, intellectually, physically and emotionally.

The nursery provides children with nutritious home-cooked food each day.

At St Ives Nursery, children also take part in extra-curricular activities such as cookery, social trips outside the nursery and much more.

Our baby daughter attends St Ives Nursery and we are very happy and pleased with our choice.
The staff are always friendly and smiley when we drop our little daughter off or pick her up. She has adjusted quickly and looks very comfortable around the girls and already seems to have built a connection
with them. The girls seem to genuinely care for her.
The environment and the atmosphere is lovely for a baby to spend her time and learn new things. There is also a very cute yard for creative outdoor activities, suitable to the babies as well.
The diversity of the menu is also worth mentioning as it has exposed our daughter to so many different flavours and foods.
Overall the transition from our daughter being mostly with us to spending whole days at the nursery has been smooth and easy.

I enjoy hearing the exciting stories from my nephew about his new nursery garden! He tells me that's his favourite thing to do. Not only is the indoor space amazing the gardens have recently been refurbed to a very high standard.

My nephew absolutely loves attending St Ives nursery. He looks forward to his days spent here, he always has lots of fun and enjoys telling the whole family about his day. We have been incredibly happy with the St Ives Nursery, where our son attends the toddler room 3 days a week. The staff always take a genuine interest in the children’s lives and well being, and when we drop our son off it feels like we’re leaving him in a warm and happy environment, where him and his
peers all matter as individuals, and as a group. They have helped him overcome separation anxiety in the mornings, as well as the recent dummy detachment. They take a considered approach to managing difficulties, helping our son learn new emotional skills, as well as cognitive and physical development.
The staff always take an interest in what the children have been up to, remember the jokes they share and the books they enjoy. The team are invaluable, and we’re so grateful for everything that they do to make the children feel valued, and create a fantastic environment.
The chef also deserves a mention, the items on the menu smell delicious, and our son absolutely loves the food on offer.

My son loves going to this nursery (to the extent that he sits on our steps when we tell him where he is going and asks us to put on his coat because he cannot wait to get there). His care workers during each stage have been great with him (despite him being a notoriously difficult eater) and are tremendously
caring, understanding and sociable. My son gets to be involved a wide range of activities and I really do feel that, since going to nursery nearly full time, his development in all areas has rapidly improved.
On a personal level, the nursery staff are accommodating, kind and understanding. Our daughter was stillborn in 2015 and they have worked her into our son's life with an ease and grace that is admirable. Rarely is anything ever too much and I genuinely enjoy interacting with them.
The nursery has also undergone several improvements over the past year in terms of renovations and security - all well done and reassuring that they are investing.

Fantastic nursery in an ideal location for us.


The staff are amazing. Extremely friendly and caring.


The food provided is brilliant. A very well balanced diet which is all cooked and prepared on site by the in house chef.


The children always seem to be doing different activities, including

having plenty of opportunities to go outside when the weather is good.


The management team are always on the ball with everything going on at the nursery and are always there if you have any problems or queries.

My daughter (2) loves to go to nursery here! It is the highlight of her week. All of the staff are so lovely and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Not to mention the pure jealousy I have over the amazing smelling dinners when I pick her up! Couldn’t be happier with my choice of nursery!

St Ives Nursery is a lovely nursery, with such lovely caring staff who are always happy to help. My little boy has settled in really well and loves his time at nursery. I have had two children at the nursery over the last five years and they have both had the best time and thoroughly enjoyed their fun
time at the nursery. It feels a happy place and the children always look like they are having fun. I always feel happy and comfortable leaving my child in such caring hands. The staff are amazing and work so hard.

Every member of staff that we have encountered during our time at this nursery, have been amazing. They are truly and actively interested in our son's development and life. The standard of care our son has received is both impressive and consistent and something that brings us constant reassurance.
He is always happy and excited to know that he is on his way to nursery and always wants to babble about what he has done that day and what he has eaten (amazing food planned daily).
The atmosphere and environment at the nursery is always wonderful and energetic, with all staff members, whether looking after my child or not, asking after him by name.
I could not ask for a better place or better staff, to help us encourage and develop our son's growth in these early years.

My son has attended St Ives Nursery for two and a half years and he absolutely loves it. The nursery provides a warm and nurturing environment where every child is treated as an individual and encouraged to thrive. It has been particularly nice to watch my son form strong relationships with the staff
over this time and I know that on the days he attends nursery he will have plenty of opportunities for learning and exploration in a relaxed and safe environment.
The nursery also offers good nutritious meals.


As a parent, I have always found the staff very welcoming and remain impressed how all staff across the setting know each child and parent by name. I have always felt comfortable discussing my child's development with them and feel able to ask any questions I may have.


Whilst handovers remain good, I do miss the book we used to have in which the key worker would record nap times, food eaten, nappy changes etc. This was useful for me come home time and a lovely keepsake.

Our daughter has only been coming here for just under 3 months and, all the staff have helped her come out of her shell massively. She comes home telling me about her day and is now expressing an eagerness to go, all thanks to the amazing staff who work there, so a big thank you to their dedication,

My son has been attending St.Ives nursery for nearly 2 years now and he absolutely loves it. The bond he has with the staff is great. The staff are very attentive, supportive and helpful overall. He has made outstanding progression during this length of time from speech, to being completely potty trained.
I'm always kept updated by the staff who take the time to inform me on my Childs day, also with weekly emails.
I feel very secure knowing he's well looked after, happy and safe.

All of my children (bar my youngest, she will in the future!) have been through St Ives Nursery and I wouldn’t have them go anywhere else. They all been fantastic with my girls and looked after them superbly. All the staff are very friendly and will go out of their way to help or support in anyway necessary.
My children love the freshly cooked meals on sight and they certainly smell delicious when passing through the nursery!
