St Ives Nursery is a private day care nursery located in the centre of St Ives.

It is close to both the A14 for access to Cambridge and easy rail links for commuters into London.   

In 2018, the nursery completed a refurbishment of all areas; creating a warm, unique and stimulating learning experience for all children.

The nursery is open full-time from 7.30am – 6.00pm caring for children from 3 months to 5 years.

At St Ives Nursery, trained, caring staff ensure children develop socially, intellectually, physically and emotionally.

The nursery provides children with nutritious home-cooked food each day.

At St Ives Nursery, children also take part in extra-curricular activities such as cookery, social trips outside the nursery and much more.

A really lovely nursery where the children are cared for and cherished. It has a lovely warm atmosphere and both my children have been very happy here. Very friendly and kind staff. Delicious home cooked food. Would highly recommend.

My son has attended St Ives Nursery for two and a half years and he absolutely loves it. The nursery provides a warm and nurturing environment where every child is treated as an individual and encouraged to thrive. It has been particularly nice to watch my son form strong relationships with the staff
over this time and I know that on the days he attends nursery he will have plenty of opportunities for learning and exploration in a relaxed and safe environment.
The nursery also offers good nutritious meals.


As a parent, I have always found the staff very welcoming and remain impressed how all staff across the setting know each child and parent by name. I have always felt comfortable discussing my child's development with them and feel able to ask any questions I may have.


Whilst handovers remain good, I do miss the book we used to have in which the key worker would record nap times, food eaten, nappy changes etc. This was useful for me come home time and a lovely keepsake.

Our daughter has only been coming here for just under 3 months and, all the staff have helped her come out of her shell massively. She comes home telling me about her day and is now expressing an eagerness to go, all thanks to the amazing staff who work there, so a big thank you to their dedication,
time and hard work. To help our little lady become the confident little girl she is.

My son has been attending St.Ives nursery for nearly 2 years now and he absolutely loves it. The bond he has with the staff is great. The staff are very attentive, supportive and helpful overall. He has made outstanding progression during this length of time from speech, to being completely potty trained.
I'm always kept updated by the staff who take the time to inform me on my Childs day, also with weekly emails.
I feel very secure knowing he's well looked after, happy and safe.

All of my children (bar my youngest, she will in the future!) have been through St Ives Nursery and I wouldn’t have them go anywhere else. They all been fantastic with my girls and looked after them superbly. All the staff are very friendly and will go out of their way to help or support in anyway necessary.
My children love the freshly cooked meals on sight and they certainly smell delicious when passing through the nursery!

Our grandson has been coming to nursery for almost two years now. It is reassuring to know that he is in safe, caring hands when he is there with familiar faces who he has grown to know so well. We know he looks forward to coming and it’s lovely when we ask him about nursery and he tells us what activities

My little boy has been going to St Ives nursery for just over a year now and he loves it.


There is a real family 'feel' about the nursery and he has always received brilliant care and attention. The relationship between the staff and children is absolutely genuine and he has developed so much since

he started.


The thing I love most about the nursery though is how involved you feel as a parent. At the end of, what I'm guessing is a fairly hectic day, the staff always take the time to give you a full run-down of your child's daily activities. It is never rushed and the staff are always happy to chat and offer advice and support where needed.


The parent's evenings are brilliant too for understanding how your child is progressing against their development goals, what their next steps are and how you can support at home.


I would, and do, recommend the nursery to anyone who is looking for a safe and stimulating learning environment for their child.

The St Ives Nursery is an excellent nursery. My eldest son attended a couple of years ago and now my 21-month-old attends and I wouldn't want my children to go anywhere else for their early learning. When I heard that they had been taken over, I was worried that the family feel may be missing but I
didn't need to worry. All the staff are amazing and get to know your children so well, the refurbished rooms are lovely and it's a happy and safe environment for children to learn and grow.

After being anxious about returning to work and leaving our little boy at nursery, I was completely assured when leaving every day that he was in the best care. St Ives nursery is not only a wonderful environment (especially with the new decor and toys, etc.) but the best part and most important part
is the people we leave our child with. They are all supportive, caring and make us feel like our son is a child and not a number.
For this reason, there’s nowhere else we will be sending our daughter!

We are very pleased we picked St Ives Nursery two years ago. Our son likes going to nursery every time. He is well looked after and cared for. Staff is very friendly, including lovely office ladies and the chef. Lovely home-like feel nursery and would recommend to anyone we know.

The nursery was recommended by a friend over two years ago, we have not been disappointed yet. Fantastic facilities and if possible they just keep improving. My son really enjoys going, so much so he asks to go at the weekends.

We have put two children through St Ives Nursery and we have never once questioned our decision. From the first moment seven years ago we put our first child in when she was just six months old, they have helped us raise our children, providing advice to two inexperienced parents and putting up with
my demands for bacon sandwiches.
We have recently left the nursery but this is only due to the fact that they don't provide schooling through to the age of 18 otherwise the kids would still be there. They provide such great care but allow the children to enjoy themselves so much that my two always came home tired but happy.
The staff, through each of the age groups, have all been amazing, each developing our children to become more independent. The nursery through the new leadership team will only continue to succeed and improve as they continue to grow into their roles. It has been a wrench to leave but I look back with fond memories and am grateful for having been part of their family.
