St Ives Nursery is a private day care nursery located in the centre of St Ives.

It is close to both the A14 for access to Cambridge and easy rail links for commuters into London.   

In 2018, the nursery completed a refurbishment of all areas; creating a warm, unique and stimulating learning experience for all children.

The nursery is open full-time from 7.30am – 6.00pm caring for children from 3 months to 5 years.

At St Ives Nursery, trained, caring staff ensure children develop socially, intellectually, physically and emotionally.

The nursery provides children with nutritious home-cooked food each day.

At St Ives Nursery, children also take part in extra-curricular activities such as cookery, social trips outside the nursery and much more.

Our daughter started at St Ives Nursery in June just after lockdown. We were quite nervous about her starting after spending so much time with us at home. However, the staff made us feel so comfortable and welcome from the start. She loved her settling in session and instantly bonded with her keyworker
and at that point we knew we had made the right choice. She loves going to nursery, and the team are always so good at communicating to us about how her day has been. My daughter really enjoys the food, and it is great to hear all about the activities she takes part in each day. The managers are extremely good at answering queries and we enjoy reading the Friday Feedback emails to find out more about the activities she has taken part in. It is lovely to see her grow in confidence.

Since starting at St Ives nursery, I have seen my little boy blossom. I spent a lot of time researching nurseries in the area and could not be more pleased that we made the decision to send him to St Ives. The staff are incredible and get as excited as I do when he reaches his new milestones.  I could
not speak more highly regarding the care and individual attention he receives; it really does feel like an extended family. Every time I drop him off, everyone knows who he is and they always take the time to engage with us. It was the hardest thing I have ever done leaving him on the first day, but the staff took so much time to make sure that we were both ok and that my son settled in quickly. Promoting a safe, nurturing environment and a keen interest in individual development I could not recommend the nursery more highly: So much so, that I have even extended my contract in my current job so that my son can complete his nursery years with St Ives!

My son started this nursery in September 2019, and has loved it every second! He was moved up to the pre toddlers room quite quickly after he started at 16 months old because they felt like that’s what he needed. He has formed amazing relationships with the staff and the children that go there. His
speech and compassion for others since starting here has grown massively. He is 22 months and he can almost talk in sentences! He missed nursery so much during the lockdown, and he has recently gone back and has settled right back in as if he hasn’t been gone for 2 months. And was so happy to see his favourite members of staff.
An amazing nursery with amazing staff, who are always really friendly and happy to talk to me about anything and everything!

Our son started to attend St Ives Nursery in September 2019 and he has loved it from the first second. The staff have always been very helpful, knowledgeable and supportive. Our son had to take some time off earlier this year for medical reasons and throughout this difficult time for us as a family,
the nursery have supported wherever possible and have always been very understanding. His return to nursery has been handled fantastically and he has quickly settled back into nursery life and seems to be thriving.

St Ives Nursery is a great place for little ones to be taken care of, have fun, enjoy and learn. Individual needs and preferences are accommodated, and there is a feeling of a comprehensive approach in all aspects of care, play, learning and development. The rooms and spaces are carefully decorated
with nature motives, over the world landscapes and people. Toys and activities are always exciting. Food is freshly prepared on the spot and there is involvement from the older ones in helping out. Autonomy, talking and handling emotions is encouraged. My little one in the baby room has been very happy in the nursery since the beginning and we could not be more pleased.

My granddaughter attends the nursery and has done for years. We have been to collect her on many occasions and I’ve even been in for her Mother’s Day tea which was a lovely celebration and opportunity to interact with other mums and grandmothers. I would recommend the nursery always.

My daughter has attended St Ives Nursery since she was nine months. She is now nearly
four. Her entire journey at the nursery has been enjoyable and it has been a pleasure to see her grow and develop. The team are great and clearly have outstanding knowledge of childcare. My daughter has grown into
a well mannered, knowledgable, confident girl and I can’t thank the nursery team enough for every part they have played in her development. I would defiantly recommend St Ives Nursery and we will miss it in Sept as she leaves for school.

My grandson has been going to this nursery since August 2019, he was very unsure for quite a while as he hadn't been to any other nurseries/playgroups. The staff were amazing at helping him settle into the new routine. He now goes in without any fuss and really enjoys being there. The meals he is offered
are excellent and as he was very limited in his diet it is nice now to hear that he is trying lots of different foods. Could not recommend this nursery more.

My ten-month-old daughter has been attending the nursery three days a week for over a month now and I am so pleased with how she is getting on. She seems to really enjoy it and gets excited when I tell her she's going to nursery. She has formed a genuine bond with her carer and is always pleased to
see her in the mornings and is happy to be handed over to her which makes leaving my daughter so much easier for me. She has formed great eating habits and I feel she has learnt so much in a short time. The staff are so wonderful and friendly, which has really helped my daughter and also me. The systems in place work really well and I would absolutely recommend this nursery.

I am so pleased with how well my daughter has settled into this nursery. She obviously enjoys it as she is always happy when we drop her off and is in high spirits at the end of the day too. I feel confident leaving her with the care workers as she clearly likes them so much already, they do a great
job! The food always smells delicious and she comes home well-fed and content. It's lovely when she comes home and we see the new things she's learnt at nursery. She always has a lovely day!

My daughter has attended nursery over the last couple of years and really enjoyed her time. The nursery manager has always been really helpful whenever I have had any questions. My daughter has attended the nursery for the last 3 and a half years, she thoroughly has enjoyed her time at St Ives Nursery. We have seen the nursery change hands which has had its ups and downs but ultimately, we have been very impressed with the nursery. We are now sending our 1-year-old to the nursery
in the hope that she enjoys her time at St Ives as much as her big sister did.

St Ives Nursery has been absolutely incredible with the learning and development of my boy. We moved to Cambridge and chose to keep him here as he was so happy and settled and he enjoys coming each week. All of the new resources and gardens look brilliant, it is a shame he will be going to school this
year as I know he will miss everyone. Amazing all round.

My little girl joined the nursery in April 2019. The staff are all friendly, nice and patient. They kindly help my little one develop different kinds of skills, including speaking, singing, playing etc. Special thanks go to two ladies in particular. My daughter was happy when she went to and came back
from nursery. St Ives Nursery is a fantastic place where you must visit if you trying to find a nursery for your little one.
