My little boy has been attending Silks Farm Nursery School since about September 2015. He is in the Little Mice room, and I can honestly say our experience with Silks Farm has been spot on. He is always happy to be attending and again always smiley on pick up. While struggling through reflux problems
with my child, all the staff have been so very helpful and understanding of the situation working alongside me to find the route of the problem.


The facilities at the nursery are what stood it apart from me. A real connection with the outside using the animals and forest school is brilliant for the development of the children offering them more than just a classroom learning and experience.


The tapestry online journal is a fantastic way to keep the parents involved and up to date with the child's development and just and insight on what their day includes. When we first joined, it was a brilliant way of knowing how relaxed he was after I'd left.


I recommend Silks Farm all the time.

My son is very happy when we enter nursery and he doesn't look back when I'm leaving. He is well cared for and my day at work is stress-free when he is there. Contact with nursery is brilliant. They are very friendly and caring.

My son attended the rabbits room in Silks Farm for almost a year, I can vouch entirely for the kindness and care given to him by staff. His confidence grew immeasurably and he still talks about it now. The staff in rabbits room are all calm, kind and lovely. They also were respectful of myself as his
mother and observed any of my wishes and always gave me honest feedback on his day all of which I feel are hugely important.

Our 2 boys now have 6 boy-years in total at Silk's Farm. I couldn't be happier with the nursery, the boys are always up to something new and really want to go. The are always doing something interesting and the recent emphasis on outdoor activities has been really good.

Our two boys have a total of 6 boy-years at Silks Farm and I couldn't be happier with the time that they have spent there. The staff are excellent, it is well run and both boys made excellent progress socially and in pre-school type activities. The extra emphasis on outdoor activities has been good
for the last two years.

Silks Farm is absolutely unrivalled in the local area for its outdoor space. The opportunities and environment that my daughter experiences here are excellent. We visited every nursery in St. Ives before choosing Silks and it was by far the most welcoming and exciting nursery. The staff are all very
caring and happy (a sign of a good working environment). The food is good and the right balance of healthy to normal items. The outdoor space is vast and the children spend so much time outside they must be very fit. The animals are a great way for her to become comfortable around them. They offer a great range of activities indoors as well and she learns so much when she is there. Whenever she is ill she gets great care and lots of attention. She loves the nursery.
The office staff are very good at keeping parents informed of how they are managing things and if you pop into the office to chat about admin they always greet you with a smile and make time to discuss your issues.

My daughter went to Silks Farm Nursery from July to September 2016. Whilst the care she received was fine, the admin side of things was appalling. When my daughter first started the nursery, one of her sessions was cancelled due to staff shortages. This was a minor inconvenience and I was assured that
the session amount would be deducted from my bill the following month. This didn't happen and in fact, every single invoice I received showed that I had not paid for the session. Then I received a bill (that I had paid) 3 times. Myself and my husband spoke to the manager numerous times who repeatedly assured us that we would not receive the bill again. Since leaving Silks Farm I have continued to receive invoices that are for someone else. More phone calls and e-mails and again, the problem continues.


Save yourself the hassle and send your children somewhere else. My daughter now goes to an Ofsted Outstanding rated nursery and the admin process there has been nothing but joy!

Our daughter loves her time at Silks Farm.
All the staff are so friendly, helpful and provide excellent feedback at the end of each day on all aspects of our child's time there.
The variety of organic food is excellent and all the staff are particularly accommodating regarding food options.
Staff
are very enthusiastic and cheerful and provide a huge range of activities which keeps our inquisitive little one learning and happy.
The children get to spend plenty of time outside exploring the world and seeing the animals on the farm, which our daughter adores.
Different themed activities occur regularly and staff provide activities geared towards our daughters interests.
We couldn't be happier with Silks farm nursery.

This is a Fantastic nursery, all the staff are so pleaseant and have helped my little boy no wonders, they always cater for his needs and his little ways. I would totally recommended this nursery to anyone who is unsure where to place there child. I'm so happy I took the him there he is now so confident.

This is a brilliant nursery, staff are very friendly and very supportive.
My child has learnt so much in little time, grown in confidence,
She loves her friends and teachers.
Always happy and comes out smiling.
Always get a report end of each day, how she has been? What she has eaten, and what
she has been doing.
Food choices are brilliant, all healthy and yummy.
Would definitely recommend to others.

Both my children have and are still attending Silks Farm Nursery. They provide an excellent standard of care for all ages of pre and post school aged children. All of the staff are very sensitive to all of the children's individual personalities, needs and development and I feel 100% comfortable in
leaving my children in their care. The top 10 things I love about this nursery are:


1) The level of care and attention for the children.
2) Food - the food is of a high standard cooked on site.
3) Outdoor space is amazing along with the small animals - brilliant!!
4) Each child's development plan and the way in which they work together with the parent.
5) Holiday club they provide for primary school aged children - brilliant that my now school aged child can attend and be looked after during the school holidays.
6) The fact that they are transferring to a semi electronic system to few each child's development and assessments.
7) Members of staff are all very friendly and can seen to be engaging with the children which I love to see.
8) Activities are fantastic from messy play to toddler yoga, football, french and the in between activities for celebratory days such as: Mothers/Fathers Day, invite a grandparent for tea day, different world celebrations, outdoor activities and simple things such as feeding and helping to look after the animals.
9) On site parking to collect and drop off your children.

I'm sure there are many many more but overall excellent setting, excellent care and excellent facilities and activities.

Really lovely & friendly team, even carers who don't work with my son are always happy to see us and are very welcoming.


The staff member in the office has been our main point of contact and has been extremely kind and helpful, with nothing too much trouble.


Our key worker is really great at keeping

us informed and ensuring our son is happy and the nursery in general seems very well run.


Our son seems very settled and happy so we couldn't ask for more.

My eldest daughter attended Silks Farm so when the time came for my youngest daughter to attend nursery there was going to be no better place. The settling in period is well thought out and catered to the individual child, the staff are all excellent and I feel completely happy dropping my daughter
off with any member of the team. The variety of food my children experience is wonderful, and well the things they get up to during the day is fantastic, if only I could stay there for the day.


All in all a wonderful nursery, in a countryside setting with an amazing team of staff.
