My daughter has sadly just finished up at Silks Farm. The little mice and field mice teams are amazing and took fantastic care of my daughter during her time spent here. I am so grateful for the regular updates and pictures of what she got up to when she attended nursery, as well as the lovely care
she received day-to-day! Silks Farm has a lovely, happy atmosphere, and my daughter absolutely loved her time there!
The manager and her team are doing an excellent job of running the nursery, and they are so kind, approachable and always happy to help!!
On a number of occasions, I called and needed to request extra days, sometimes with very little notice, and the girls were always so accommodating when I needed the extra childcare and would try their best to accommodate when possible and safe to do so!
I'm so grateful for the really positive experience we have had at Silks; it's all down to the amazing staff that work there. I would recommend Silks Farm to anyone!

Our son has just moved on to Primary School after four incredible years at Silks Farm. Handing your firstborn to someone else is a huge event, and after viewing several nurseries, we knew immediately that Silks Farm was the nursery for us. Such a rich environment, attention to detail, constant new
activities and themes, games and songs and deep and a deep routed ethos that leaps out every time we drop off and pick up. His last day was incredibly moving as he has grown and developed so much, forming wonderful bonds with the staff along the way. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Silks Farm and can speak highly enough of the facilities and all the staff. Thank you, Silks Farm, so, so much for looking after him, and we are so pleased to enjoy a couple more years with you for his younger brother!

Both of our children attended Silks Farm Nursery School as babies until they were ready to start school. The staff were caring and loving and gave our children the most fantastic start. They particularly enjoyed the outdoor space. The planned activities were varied and fun and the preschool room prepared
them well for school. Staff listened to any concerns or worries and we felt they genuinely cared. Thank you so much!

My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her time at Silks Farm Nursery School. They have an amazing setting with staff who genuinely care for each child.
She thrived being in their setting, she had a strong bond.

I have a 3-year-old and a 1-year-old at Silks Farm. They both love it. I can’t believe how fast they are developing. The nice touches for Mother’s Day and other events are so sweet.
The staff are so friendly and accommodating. My little ones love the team and have bonded with their key workers. The
manager and the admin side are so well organised.
I couldn’t recommend the place more. They’ve been through so much with Covid and all the rules but never lost that personal feel with the kids.

The nursery, on the whole, is good. Disappointed with the 10% increase in rates which was the second increase in less than a year. Wrote numerous emails to discuss, but not one was addressed. That is the first time I have had an issue with the nursery, along with when the food changed without consultation.
However, the staff are caring, and my son does enjoy his time there mainly. I do appreciate the calls telling me if he has fallen over etc, and the updates sent out.

I feel the staff at Silks Farm are very friendly, and I'm confident that my son has lots of fun when he goes. There is a varied menu, and the meals are cooked on site. O enjoy receiving photos of my son placing and learning on the portal. Overall, I am very pleased with the service Silka Farm provided.

I feel Silks Farm Nursery School is an excellent place for my child. I have sent both my children to Silks now. The staff are always excellent with my little one. They always come out with a great big smile, and I can tell that they've had a good day. My child has come along in leaps and bounds, and
I feel a lot of that is due to the wonderful staff and excellent grounds the nursery has. Just exceptional all the way.

As with all settings in the current environment, there are times when queues and staffing have been an issue, but generally, the team work their socks off to make sure they are in a position to minimise as much disruption as possible. Personally, since there has been a change in management, the nursery
has improved drastically, and the girls in the rabbit room are an asset to the team. Subsequently, our boy thoroughly loves the rabbit's room, his development has been impressive, and that's all credit to the team and the work they put in.

My 3-year-old daughter loves nursery, as did my son, both of whom were there from 13-months. I have been really impressed by how well my son has coped with school and finds many things easy "as we did that at nursery." They clearly get them well set up for school, and he made great friends there.
It
is true that communication is not as good as it was. And the staff do occasionally change, without notice, but in a nursery of this size, I accept it.
The outdoor space is fabulous, and that's why we chose Silks Farm. I have never regretted that decision. They are outside lots and let children be children, ie play in the mud, in the puddles etc.

The nursery is a very friendly, happy environment. The nursery works hard on different daytime activities, and my child's development and confidence have grown. I like how they encourage outside play and work to a routine that I have at home. The staff are very helpful and understand parent's worries
and are always contactable throughout the day.

My child started at Silks Farm last month, and I can't thank the team enough for how welcoming they have made both my child and myself feel. Everything has been great, from the activities they do within the nursery and following home routines as much as possible! As a family, we encourage Makaton (sign)
and asked the nursery if they could encourage the signing when in the nursery and she has really come on leaps. We love seeing what our child has been up to at nursery, and they really keep us updated and in the loop with the app.
Looking forward to many more years with Silks Farm.

We have been coming to Silks Farm for over four years. My daughter began when she was one, she has now left and gone to school. Now our son has been going for over 2-years. Our journey has had a few ups and downs, however, there has now been a change in management. Since the two ladies have taken over,
I can see so much improvement. The staff have always been great. My children love them all. I can see how much my children have enjoyed going and how much progress they have made. This is all down to the staff. I would like to thank them for everything they have done over the years.

Both of my children have attended Silks Farm, and I drive 30-mins to take my children there. The nursery offers a range of experiences and fun activities that my children look forward to every day. The staff prepare them well for school.
I trust the staff completely with my children and never have
to worry about them whilst they are there.
Most days I’m lucky if I get a goodbye kiss as my daughter is just so excited to see her teachers and friends.

My daughter has been attending Silks Farm since January 2021. As she was a lockdown baby, I was so anxious about leaving her at nursery on my return to work. The staff at Silks Farm did an amazing job at settling her and making sure we all felt supported. They continue to be amazing, and she adores
going; she’s constantly outside exploring and being stretched from a development point of view. Genuinely adore this nursery.

My son really enjoys nursery, and he is well cared for. The variety in activities is great, and I like that the kids are outdoors whenever possible. If you have any questions or feedback, I have always found Silks are quick to come back to me with the information needed. We used to get more updates
on the app, I'd like to see those increase again to feel more connected to my son's day. When he was in Field Mice, we received regular updates on development, but in Hedgehogs, we don't as much or understand how that is encouraged. I think the menu could be healthier, pizza is a regular occurrence, as is a chocolate whip. Overall, the food is nutritious and varied though, which is great. My son has always bonded well with his various key workers, and you can see they are all really invested in the kids. Overall, a really good nursery I would recommend.

My daughter loved going. That was the main thing but we would have moved her nursery ages ago if she didn't love it so much. The lack of communication, the constant staff changes, meals different from that day's menu, and the lack of learning feedback.
The constant promise that the queueing system
would go but it never appeared. I was late for work so many times because of this and we would get emails not to drop children off ten minutes early because you couldn't predict the queues.
Sometimes we would go weeks without any feedback on the app and I'd have to ask numerous times.
Management was quick enough to chase you for things but couldn't confirm they had received an email.
We loved Silk Farm last year but over the last nine months things have gone downhill and we wouldn't recommend it I'm afraid.
On a positive note, the nursery grounds are lovely, including the forest school. The girls in the rabbit room work their socks off and are such a credit to the nursery, as well as the kitchen staff.

Our son attended Silks Farm from July 2018 and he thoroughly enjoyed his time there. We were very impressed with the level of service, staff seemed very friendly and supportive of our sons needs. Although when Lockdown hit again this year we were very upset with the lack of communication from the nursery.
They failed to get back to us many times including failing to follow up with emails from our son’s other setting regarding his development. We were very appalled to find out that Silks Farm risk assessment did not support the government’s advice to limit the amount of settings and when we decided to choose to send our son to his other setting instead of Silks Farm during Lockdown, we were astonished that we still had to pay for his meals he was not receiving as well as the price for his attendance. Therefore we decided to cancel his place and there was no leeway with the notice period we still had to pay the full 8 weeks.

Our son loves Silks Farm! He has formed special bonds with his care workers and has come on leaps and bounds with his communication and general confidence since being at nursery. He is happy to be passed over in the mornings, and on the collection, sometimes cries as he wants to stay at nursery!
