Patacake Day Nursery

My son has been at Patacake since he was 9 months old. The staff have always been very friendly, caring, and professional. The communication from the nursery is excellent and I have always felt understood and heard. My son is always happy when I pick him up and I have never had any concerns about his care there. The manager is also very helpful and understanding. I viewed several nurseries prior to Patacake and I have to say this is the best one that I have seen in the area. I am so glad that my son was offered a place and would recommend it to anybody.

Patacake is a wonderful place where children can learn, play and develop amazing relationships. Two of my 3 children attended Patacake and I could not be happier (particularly compared with the nursery my first child went to, due to not having a place at Patacake at the time). Staff are caring and friendly and the activities they do with them always give my children a lot to talk about at home!

I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone looking for childcare in the Cambridge area.

Both my children have attended Patacake Day Nursery. The staff there are warm and friendly and have made my children's time there very special. It's a lovely feeling to be able to drop your child off every morning knowing they are in the best hands with people who really care about them. Every day when I pick my son up he is happy and has had the best day. It’s going to be so sad when he leaves to start school in September. We will miss Patacake.

I cannot praise the staff, facilities, and environment of Patacake Day Nursery enough. My son loves attending nursery and has made special relationships with staff members. It provides a high standard of care, kindness, fun, and education. Brilliant!

The nursery staff and management have done so well with re-opening the nursery. It has been a daunting time for adults, let alone our little ones but at Patacake they have done everything in their power to make everyone feel safe and the children settled back in. The manager settled any concerns we may have. We want to say a big thank you to all, we are so happy to be back.

We cannot thank Patacake Nursery enough for their help in building a base for our children's lives. The children have gone on to the next stage of their academic career with a solid foundation, an ability to mix with other children, other adults and they have built their characters and friendships with support from the caring staff from an early age.

I highly recommend Patacake and feel lucky we got to have a place in such a well run and fun nursery.

We've valued the regular updates about both our child's daily activities and health (food intake etc), her skills development, as well as about the future plans on nursery management and activities. They regularly incorporate special activities and foster age-appropriate play and learn.

Unfortunately, the nursery is now closed to help with the Covid-19 emergency response. But the staff have managed this challenging situation extremely well. We hope they will reopen as soon as the crisis is over.

My son has attended Patacake since the end of last year and I can’t recommend them enough. On his first settling in day, they had set out play activities tailored to his favourites to make him feel at home. Each room has its own outdoor area so they are free to go outdoors as much as they want (weather permitting) which is very important to us. We get a rundown, of the day at pick up and we especially like the weekly nursery update with the week’s activities and plans ahead. Our son has made some great friends, loves his caring team and is totally absorbed in the play activities. Thank you Patacake.

The nursery is a very welcoming and relaxed environment. Everyone is engaged and helpful. The rooms are decorated and arranged really well, there is good outdoor space and it is fully used. Activities are creative and interesting, outings are frequent. Meals are healthy and much enjoyed. Staff are invariably friendly and responsive. We can hardly wait for the reopening!

Patacake is a fantastic nursery which both my daughter and son have attended. The staff at Patacake are all amazing, I have always felt so comfortable leaving my children in their care. The range of activities they offer for the children are engaging and varied and the design of the building means that there is a free flow between the inside and outside, which is a really important element for us. I would highly recommend Patacake.

Very clean and a wonderful safe place for children to spend their day away from parent’s and feel well looked after.

I find this nursery to be a very professionally run nursery. The staff are lovely and friendly, and my godchild always looks forward to going each day, which is very important to their parents.

He has made many friends with his peers and he is happy and thriving at the nursery due to the staff and the wonderful activities they offer.

Patacake Day Nursery have been very warm and welcoming and my daughter really enjoys it. She loves telling me about what she did with members of staff and other children. Whenever I pick her up, she's always in the middle of doing something fun with a smile on her face.

The staff are always enthusiastic and create a caring learning environment for the children. The open-ended loose parts resources create curiosity and imagination and develop the characteristics of effective learning. The pre-school room puts the children in a good place for their transition to school!

For the preschool room it is a very active room with various activities for all the children to be able to learn, the only thing I would like to see is for the children to learn phonics to get them already working towards this for when they start reception, both my children attended the nursery and my daughter currently does, I would highly recommend to friends.
