The beautiful Fulbourn Day Nursery and Preschool, eco-friendly in design and located within Capital Park, is designed to enrich the learning and development of your child, from the age of 3 months to 5 years.

Set in a green and tranquil environment, the spacious, purpose-built nursery has rooms tailored to suit each age group. The Nursery staff team use babies’ natural curiosity and a range of sensory toys to help develop their motor skills, physical development and speech recognition. Toddler rooms are set up to help them learn more about the world around them – interesting shapes, textures and words. Preschoolers enjoy early reading, writing and mathematics in fun and interesting ways, alongside other subjects such as art and science.

To extend your child’s play and learning beyond the bright indoor facilities, Fulbourn nursery has an extensive garden. Each age group has its own area, with age-appropriate toys to encourage physical development, coordination and teamwork. The Nursery also has a beautiful natural meadow that is used in the warmer months as an outdoor classroom.

The nursery in Fulbourn is on the northern end of Capital Park. There is ample onsite car park and great access to the bus routes on Fulbourn Old Drift. The Nursery has all-inclusive fees, including all meals, snacks, nappies and wipes, which gives you less to worry about on busy mornings.

Overall it is a good nursery, it has improved lots since last year but still areas need to be covered and improved such as:
-staff numbers, they always rely on agencies as often short on staff. Legal ratios are met but unlike other nurseries, it always has the minimum required specially in preschool.
-there
is not always a clear structure of the day, specially in rising 3's and preschool rooms.

Great nursery and very friendly staff. My daughter loves going and often doesn't want to leave! Good range of activities and lovely outdoor space, a giant sandpit and lots of toys to ride on. Lovely relationship formed with key worker which is a great relief as a parent as you know your child is not
only in safe hands, but with someone who really a cares.

My daughter started attending this nursery when we she was nearly 18 months. She has really thrived since starting there and loves it to bits.


The nursery building is clean, light and airy, and is laid out so that the children can help themselves to activities they would like to do. There are indoor

and outdoor areas they can play in all year round.


I am very confident in the staff who look after the children really well and really support their developmental needs.


The nursery include everything from nappies to sunscreen which is a real help when I am working and have precious little time in the evenings to think about things like that for the next day.


I looked at another nursery recently that would be more convenient (location wise) for my son when my daughter starts school, but it didn't come close to Bright Horizons Fulbourn. I just don't think I would want him to not have the brilliant experience my daughter has had.

The staff at this nursery is second to none! They have looked after my child since she was 6 months old, as he will be turning 3 in August. They are the best, from the baby room straight through to toddlers. The manager is hands on and one of the best managers I have met.

Fulbourn Nursery is located in the middle of a large, green park, isolated from cars and noise. Our girl loves going there and is always very happy and excited at the end of the day. The nursery staff organises lots of interesting activities for children, encouraging their play and learning. We would

My 2 years old loves this nursery, she eats a lot and sings a lot. As English is not my mother language, I also learnt a lot of English from her, e.g. all the names of dinosaurs! Every day when I pick her up, she doesn't want to leave. The staff are friendly, they tell me all the details about her day.
The manager is firm and well-organised. They also spend a lot of effort for activities on weekends, such as picnic parties. The nursery is safe, healthy and friendly.

My daughter has been at Fulbourn since February 2016 and it has made the world of difference to her. She is only in one day a week but she has grown so much and is learning all the time, coming home and using the skills she has learnt whilst at nursery. The staff are great with her, particularly her
key worker and the room leader and you can see that she really enjoys being there. The staff always call if my daughter has had a bump which I find reassuring and they are always on hand to give her a cuddle as and when she needs one. The outdoor space is fantastic, lots of room to roam around and play and the building is always clean and tidy. The only slight negative would be that on the very odd occasion, it does not appear that there are enough staff around in the morning. So for a very short period, the ratio of staff to children seems a bit low but this is a minor thing as I have seen other staff members helping out until there are enough staff and the children always seem very happy.

Bright Horizons Fulbourn (Capital Park) is a fairly new purpose built facility - so it's modern and a great environment. I have had a child there for over two years now (in the baby room, toddler room, rising threes room so far!) and I am really happy with his care. The nursery manager runs a tight
ship and inspires a wonderful team. My child has so much fun at nursery and has made lots of friends. There's a good mix of structured learning as well as unstructured play. If my child has done something interesting in the evening or over the weekend, I am encouraged to talk to his carers about it, so that they can discuss it with my child and continue the learning journey. It's a wonderful nursery and I'd highly recommend it. My child is safe, happy and cared for there.

Our son loves going to nursery here and has lots of fun playing and doing the various activities. We have felt supported in his adjustment to nursery and in helping with things like eating. He gets on very well with his key workers. It has made us feel very happy to know how much he is enjoying this

Both kids always seem happy to be dropped off and still content at the end of a long day. The staff recently gave us great advice on caring for a sick child. Many of the families are from the same company as me and my fellow colleagues all seem very happy.

I have used this nursery for over 5 years. The staff have always been brilliant and are clearly passionate about childcare. The facilities are first class, the children that attend clearly enjoy themselves and feel happy, safe and loved in this environment.

Our child has been at this nursery for 18 months now. We have found that the staff are nurturing and the facilities are wonderful. What we love the most is the fact that the children have their own gardens and are encouraged to be outside as much as possible. We would highly recommend this nursery.

This is an amazing nursery managed by a strong management team. Our daughter loves it very much. Some members of staff are brilliant educators and work daily with my daughter helping in her development.


The facilities are the best I visited and the nursery is located in a very quiet business park.

I have two children at Fulbourn nursery: a son (2.5) and a daughter (4.5). Both have attended this nursery since they were one year old.
Nursery staff are very caring and fun; my children have formed close bonds with their key workers. Whenever I have had concerns or questions, nursery staff have listened
and acted/responded quickly. Staff have worked well with us to help our children through periods of change (e.g. son's arrival).
The nursery building was new in 2014 and the purpose built play spaces and meadow garden are excellent.
The pre-school room has an early years teacher on the team, and this shows in the activities that they are engaged in. They are preparing my daughter very well for starting school in September.
The nursery also organises out of hours activities including family picnics, parents evenings, and information evenings.
I am also finding the Bright Horizons webinars useful. Topics have included: preparing your child for school and encouraging learning.

Our daughter loves going to this nursery, each morning she runs in and doesn't look back. And when we pick her up she's happy and engaged. The staff are great very warm and friendly. They genuinely care about my daughter. The facilities are modern and clean. Very happy.

I have been really pleased with this nursery. It's a very hard decision to make when leaving your child with what are essentially strangers however everyone has made me feel at ease and nursery daughter adores them. Both my son and daughter, attended to Fulbourn nursery and they are/were very happy. The place is spacious and clean. And it is one of the best equipped we did visit. The facilities are outstanding. Our son especially loves the outdoor area, they have a gigantic sandpit, the beach, the treehouse and
the meadow where they explore to see the rabbits and squirrels from the park and hunt for minibeast... The staff are caring and professional, and you feel your kid is in good hands. They have an onsite cook and they have a varied menu . I would like to specially mention the manager. She runs the nursery very efficiently, she goes the extra mile and she knows the names of all the kids and parents, and she pays extra attention to them, she cares for their development and she is prompt to help if any problem arises.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2016

I have been employed with Bright Horizons since February 2016. I hold a level 5 qualification in leadership and management within the early years.


I have been based at the Fulbourn Nursery and been promoted from Nursery Nurse to Room Leader then Deputy Manager and now I am proud to be the Manager of the Fulbourn Nursery. I enjoy leading the team to provide a safe and stimulating environment.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Jen has been part of the Bright Horizons family since February 2020, initially in the preschool room before transitioning to the role of room leader in the baby room. Progressing steadily, she assumed the position of Third in Charge in September 2022, eventually being promoted to her current role as deputy manager in September 2023.


Outside of work, Jen finds joy in family moments, particularly cherishing time spent with her grandson and leisurely walks with her dog.
