Bright Horizons Fulbourn Day Nursery and Preschool

Staff welcome her with a smile every day. Sometimes she doesn't want to come home after being all day at the nursery! Manda the manager is a very dedicated professional, we can see that she loves what she does and is always very calm.

The nursery is brilliant, and we feel that it has contributed significantly to our child's development and confidence, while supporting secure attachments. Our son started nursery at 24 months after a year with a private nanny. After a settling in period (which the staff were brilliant at, even offering us two weeks of settling in sessions free of charge to ensure he had a smooth transition), he quickly bonded with the caregivers and made his first friends. He has now gone from the toddlers room to early pre-school and finally the pre-school room.

We are amazed at the positive self-speak, manners, and conflict resolution that nursery has taught him. He is confident in meeting a new group of friends. It has also helped him largely move past picky eating or wanting e.g. screens as a distraction. We initiated potty training at home when we saw signs of readiness, and the nursery have been very supportive in getting him now fully independent.

They have boosted his school readiness.

The regular and daily updates through the app helped give us more peace of mind. We really appreciate the professionalism and friendliness of the members of staff.

The staff at the nursery are caring and supportive of your needs and always aiming to achieve a high standard of care for the children. Our daughter always went into her preschool without tears and was happy to be there. She was always greeted with smiles in the mornings by the deputy manager on the desk whom also built a great rapport with our daughter and her family so we then felt we could voice any concerns we may have with ease. The staff, particularly five, and team guided our daughter and even put up with her demands to draw lots of treasure maps! The nursery held a wonderful graduation event to celebrate our daughter's time with them at Bright Horizons Fulbourn Day Nursery and Preschool. Thanks team!

We've had children go through the nursery over a period of 10 years. The nursery is very professional and organised, and their systems and safeguarding are excellent. The facilities are lovely including excellent outdoor and nature spaces. The staff in the rooms are very caring and kind, as well as very approachable. My very shy child was treated kindly and with patience. My fussy eater ate most meals. We have been very pleased with the care they have received. Thank you.

Our child has been going to this nursery since he was 6 months old. He loves being there and goes every day there so happy. Sometimes he doesn’t even want to leave! All the staff there is lovely and care for him so much. They support him with his development and review his progress periodically. We are so happy we chose this nursery.

Our son started with Bright Horizons Fulbourn Day Nursery and Preschool in December and we have been delighted. The nursery staff, both in the baby room and management, are so welcoming, caring and really make the effort to understand each child as an individual. The relationships our little one has forged with the staff already are evident and he almost always has a big smile on his face now when we walk into nursery in the morning. As an outdoors explorer already, I know he really benefits from the free flow policy too. Communication is very good and the updates and photos via the app are always appreciated, particularly as first-time parents. We could not be happier with this nursery, our daughter is always enthusiastic about going to the nursery in the morning and she tells me with a smile on her face what she did during the day once she is back at home. The staff is impeccable, the communication is always clear and correct. Looking forward to having a second daughter to start it soon.

Lovely nursery to send your child to. All the staff are incredible, and my little boy always runs in with a big smile, especially loves one lady, who is my toddler's key person and is amazing at her job and always sending loads of photos of what the little ones have been up to.

The staff and facilities are brilliant, with a great outside area. During the day we are provided with updates on his day and also immediately informed about any accidents. I do not have any concerns about the way he is looked after and very light touch education appropriate for his age.

Our daughter has been at Bright Horizons Nursery for over two years since she was 11 months old. She absolutely loves it there and the staff are second to none. They make me feel reassured that she is in good hands in their care. She loves the variety of activities that they get up to. She is so happy and therefore we couldn’t be happier.

I have 2 kids going there, and they have been a wonderful nursery, knowing each child individually and catering to their needs. It's been an encouraging environment to promote growth and development of kids. Highly recommended!

My daughter was at Bright Horizons Fulbourn from the age of 10 months until she started school. The staff at BH Fulbourn know each child by name and are always approachable and happy to assist. My daughter always looked forward to her days at nursery when I dropped her off in the mornings, and so I could focus on my work with complete peace of mind, knowing that my daughter was in a safe environment, having a good time, and learning. I'm very grateful to all staff at Bright Horizons Fulbourn.

We currently have two of our three children at Bright Horizons Fulbourn, with our eldest having left last August for school. All three have loved their experience there to date. The staff are incredibly caring, kind and fun and their behaviour management is superb. They know the children so well and cater to them as individuals. They always do engaging activities with the children and their preparation for school is fantastic. We always recommend the nursery to friends. It’s brilliant, we couldn’t have asked for more from them.

Bright Horizons provides a nurturing environment with something new to do every day. My son loves it and has made lots of friends. There is lots of outdoor space with a separate play area for each age. Staff are very caring and always have time to discuss any concerns.

Both of our kids started at Fulbourn, Bright Horizons when they were 9 months old and left after preschool at the age of 4 years old, having attended for 4 days a week. We're very happy with the nursery, there are so many lovely people working there. The carers love children, monitor each child's development, record it and update the parents about it regularly. They now use an online platform to update us daily about what the children's been up to all day. We found that the preschool prepared them for school very well. They hold a graduation ceremony for preschool-leavers each year to celebrate the children's achievements and the friendships that were formed and to say goodbye to each other. It was beautiful and very moving this year thanks to the hard work of three members of staff in particular. We cannot praise the management team, the baby room, the toddler room and the preschool team highly enough, for everything they've done for our children in the past six years.

Having been in all three rooms at the nursery over the past almost 2 years, my daughter loves going and comes out chatting about what she has been doing and who she has been playing with. The staff are very caring and attentive, always happy to help in any way they can, listen to our sometimes odd requests and take it all in their stride. Would 100% recommend it to all ages in this nursery.

My son started at the nursery in September 2021 and is now fully settled and really enjoys it. The staff really put my mind at ease when I was dropping him off for the first time and regularly kept me updated to reassure me he was doing ok. The staff really care about the children. The food and facilities are excellent and there are great activities for the children. The app has been a great recent addition.

The nursery is providing exceptional care, nurturing environment and full activities and joy for my daughter. She is 19 months now, being a lockdown baby. I was worried whether she will settle down with new people at all as she was not used to being cared by people different from our family. However, the staff in the baby group handled the situation exceptionally well. Their genuine care love for their job and children in their care helped my daughter to get used to a new environment, and show her bubbly character. She is so happy and content and I am commending their quality of care to all my friends.

My daughter has been going here for the past two years. I can see clearly that she likes it there because at pick up times in the morning she runs happily towards her carer! I am also impressed by the way the nursery handled everything during the pandemic and kept us as safe as possible.
