We have found the staff at Edwinstowe to be friendly, helpful, and caring. They have worked with us on toilet training and managing emotions with helpful ideas we can use at home as well.

They do a lot of engaging and varied activities with the kids and also do a lot of outdoor play. We've been very happy with the care they've taken of our little one!

My daughter loves going to Edwinstowe and I feel confident she is in a warm, caring atmosphere.
Of particular note are the staff, who are very loving and engaging with the children. This is especially true for her key worker who my daughter regularly requests hugs and tickles from!
I really appreciate how open the nursery is, parents have a lot of transparency and can go into the room at any time. This gives you confidence about what is going on, rather than just having a child deposited at the front door.

Regarding areas for improvement, while they have been very accommodating for food I would have liked to see healthier breakfast (e.g porridge not cereals and a few less cakes/sugary things). That should not detract from this being overall an excellent nursery. I feel I'm dropping my daughter off somewhere she is loved.

To start with, the nursery is located in a very safe, and quiet area providing a reassuring environment for the families. The indoor and outdoor spaces are great and full of learning opportunities and space to play and run/cycle for the children. My child is as happy as one can be and absolutely loves everything about the nursery. The staff are extremely professional and actively listen to the children's needs and wishes, offering a stimulating and positive setting for the children to develop their first friendships and relationships with adults and independence. I appreciate their daily feedback and development updates on the app. The food, the books and toys, and the general atmosphere is just great and nurturing. My eldest child wants to drop off and collect his little brother because he loves the resources and the happiness filling the nursery. As a parent what strikes me the most is that absolutely everyone in the nursery: staff, children, parents, chefs are always smiling!

Edwinstowe is an outstanding nursery. Our daughter joined at 9 months and has just moved on aged three. The care that she has received throughout from the team has been brilliant. Children have lots of fun and the facilities are lovely. Families can also put their trust in the nursery in more difficult times. Our daughter had some health issues at points, and the staff at Edwinstowe went above and beyond, both to help her and to support us as a family. She is now a very happy little girl, and that is due in no small part to the staff. Their kindness made such a difference, and we will always be grateful to them.

The experiences with Edwinstowe have made our future childcare and educational arrangement very difficult. We simply couldn’t find any other provider that can make our little ones as happy as they have been. At the same time, we are also so very grateful to the nursery team for preparing our children for their next chapter of life, despite being sad to leave the nursery, we are proud to see our children have thrived and obtained the needed skills for reception in primary.

We've been very impressed by the care shown to both our children by University Nursery at Edwinstowe Close. They have been very helpful and supportive with any issues related to social, emotional and academic development. The space is great - plenty of outdoor space and play. The food seems varied and nutritious and the children always seem to eat more and a wider variety of things than they do at home!

We love this nursery! My daughter joined when I returned to work and she was 8 months old. I saw her grow and thrive thanks to all the loving care and skills of the team at Edwinstowe. She has been supported to learn and make friends. She is confident and curious about the world, thanks to this nursery. Beyond the team, the food and facilities and communication with parents are best in class. We will miss this community.

My son loves the nursery and has formed a lovely connection with the staff. I have to prize him away from toys and friends at the end of the day and he eats better than me!

It is very reassuring to be able to drop him off and not think about him all day so I can switch my work brain on.

Our son has been there for almost three years now. He is very happy there. He has formed very good relationships with the carers there. He is also making lots of friends with other children. It feels like he is given space to be himself whilst being given opportunities to explore different things.

The communication with staff is good. As is the food which caters for a wide range of requirements. The building feels secure. It is a friendly place with lots of colour. I like the charity initiatives. The staff seem to care a lot, for example, when our son's younger brother was born carers from his previous rooms came to congratulate him. Also, one day there was an ad hoc puppet show with children from different rooms. The staff are also very conscientious about child safety without being overbearing. Having recently visited a few other nurseries I notice the friendliness, colour and that is also quite noisy (I see that as a good thing!). We will send our younger child there.

We are very impressed with the care that our daughter is receiving at University Nursery at Edwinstowe Close. We have never felt that our child is just one of many children there and instead feel that her carers really do know and adore her. (This is in contrast to some of the experiences that our friends have had at other nurseries in Cambridge, particularly regarding very young children.) Our daughter is very close with her key worker and everybody else in her room. She receives well-rounded care that is helping her to grow and develop in the ways that we would hope. Her communication skills and confidence have come on leaps and bounds since being at the nursery. We could not recommend Edwinstowe enough and are so grateful to all of the staff there.

Our daughter is very happy at nursery. Staff support her in her growth, listen to our concerns and help with her everyday needs. We particularly like outdoor activities and the close interactions with staff at dropp-off and pick-up. We also appreciate the strict interdiction against smart phones in the childrens rooms. There are occasional pictures on the app and most records are taken on paper (e.g food, nappy changes, development reports), which is great.

We could not be more pleased with the nursery and the care and support they provide to our child who is in their third class at Edwinstowe. As frustrating as it can often be, the nursery follows their policies very closely and ensure that the health and well-being of all children are at the forefront of their daily practice. Both of our children attended the nursery, the eldest recently leaving to start reception class. Edwinstowe assisted in ensuring that they were very prepared for the next step. In short, I would not want to send my child anywhere else.

All the staff at Edwinstowe are friendly, loving and caring with the children. They

have always been keen to help with any concerns I could have had about my child. Rooms, gardens, activities - all of it is great, but the most important thing to me is the respect and love they all give to the children and how happy and protected they feel.

We are extremely happy with the nursery and the way our child feels about it. We really like how the nursery designs the education program and always keeps the children busy and discovering new things that expand their knowledge. There are plenty of activities and games where they learn while playing and the atmosphere is always friendly and joyful.

The wonderful staff at Edwinstowe have just finished looking after my almost 3-year-old, he has been attending the nursery since he was 1. Before him, my eldest boy went there from 8 months to the age of 3. I can't recommend Edwinstowe enough, all the staff there have taken such good care of my children. They are caring, attentive and always there to have a conversation about all aspects of childcare. Thank you, Edwinstowe.

My little girl's key worker could not have been better. All of the staff are very good. The care given is totally outstanding and the children do new tasks every day. Parents can go in at any time of day and the staff are always working very hard, doing projects with the children and giving them great care and comfort. My little girl's key worker went way beyond what she needed to do to help my little girl settle in. My girl had been with a childminder so it was quite a long settling period, but my little girl now loves it there. I'm a solo mum and I've also been touched by the mindful way her key worker has dealt with our family situation. The garden is huge, the craft activities are great, and there are lots of new themed activities brought in each week. Also, the children get two cooked meals a day.

The nursery provides an extraordinary environment for children's development. The preschool team is highly competent and caring. They helped our child to gain confidence and develop communication skills. Our child enjoys their time at the nursery. We, as parents, feel the nursery hits the right balance between learning and playing and fosters creativity and imagination in our child. It is wonderful to see the nursery doing out-of-the-box activities, such as yoga, french lessons and hosting ducklings.

University at Edwinstowe Close is a lovely, friendly and small nursery. My son has varied, full and happy days there. The staff in his room are caring and professional, he's developed great relationships with all of them. The outdoor space is big and well-equipped, they play outdoors regularly during all weathers and seasons. The food is balanced, healthy and my son likes it! It's made on-site daily. I'd absolutely recommend this nursery.
