My son was fortunate enough to attend A Step Ahead Nursery in Lower Beeding. When searching for a suitable nursery for him having moved to Horsham last year, I was impressed to learn of their outstanding Ofsted records spanning several years. We were immediately taken in by the warm and friendly welcome
by the manager at the time, and her team on our first visit, and continued to be amazed by the nursery teeming with life. The staff really went above and beyond to care for our son. We felt completely at ease that we were leaving him in safe hands and he always had such fun there. From science experiments to outdoor fun, to art-making and learning numbers and letters, this nursery and staff cannot be faulted for the superb care they provided and we are so grateful to them for preparing him so well for big school this September. We highly recommend A Step Ahead Nursery and their fantastic team.

My son attended A Step Ahead and now my daughters also attend, I have been thoroughly impressed by the staff and the setting, all three of my children have always looked forward to coming to A Step Ahead and have very positive (and often loud) reviews of the day's activities, they rarely come home empty-handed
and are always keen to tell us how much fun they have, both inside and especially outside, rain or shine.

My daughter has been attending A Step Ahead since the beginning of September 2020 and has settled in really well. She looks forward to going in the mornings and when collecting her, she is full of excitement and enthusiasm telling me about her day. She is thriving, and I am very delighted to see an
advancement in her all-important social skills in such a short amount of time. The nursery was recommended by a previous attendee’s parent and we have not been disappointed. The staff are so friendly and engaging and nothing is too much trouble.

My son started at Step Ahead Lower Beeding in November 2019. I honestly can’t rate them highly enough. From the moment we went to visit I had a great feeling about the place. He had a few sessions to settle in before he started and I could tell he was happy and at ease straight away. Since starting
his speech has come on incredibly. He knows all his colours and he’s not even two. The staff are always warm and welcoming and come to talk to us and tell us about his day. We get wonderful pictures of him on Parents Zone so we can see what he’s been up to. He loves the food there and settles to sleep really well. He’s been going to the nursery two days a week for almost a year and I can’t fault a single thing. The staff keep us up to date. The way they have kept parents informed during the coronavirus has been amazing. My son loves going and is always so happy there. The nativity last year was the highlight of our Christmas. They really do go above and beyond.

Our daughter started at A Step ahead when she was around a year and a half, she has worked her way up through the different rooms, ladybird, bumblebee and now she’s almost 3 and a half and is a caterpillar (which she is very proud of, she tells everyone she meets that she is now a caterpillar). She
has formed some great friendships and bonds with her “nursery school teachers” and can’t wait to tell us everything she’s been up to and learnt when she gets home.
We have been so impressed with the nursery and would definitely recommend it.
I know she will be sad to leave when the time comes for big school.

My daughter has flourished at A Step Ahead and really come into her own since returning after lockdown. There is a fantastic array of activities for the children to participate in and the garden and outside areas are particularly fun. She is becoming more confident and independent and her social development
is wonderful to watch. She is the second of my two children to go to the nursery and the carers have all been inspirational and always interested and invested in my children's' development. At dropoff, she is welcomed with smiles and at pick up, we are given a lowdown on the fun they have had and what they have eaten. Like another review, my daughter eats better at nursery than at home (not for lack of trying!). The sensory activities and water and messy play are particular favourites along with playing in the wendy houses with her friends. I think it's a brilliant nursery and it feels like an extension of the family! I shall miss it when she heads off for her next adventure.

Our son has loved A Step Ahead from day one as a Ladybird, his time as a Bumblebee and I'm sure he'll love Caterpillars when he moves up next month. He chats the whole way home about the team, his friends and the various toys and activities from the day - sometimes he has had such a good time he doesn't
want to leave!!! The staff seem to be genuinely excited to see him in the mornings and usually have a funny tale to tell us when we pick him up. We do our best to keep him entertained and active at home, but it's really great to have this learning and enjoyment supplemented at the nursery in creative ways we don't think of. He gets the best of both worlds.
So pleased we found A Step Ahead, thanks for the hard work guys.

Step Ahead is a great nursery where my daughter enjoys her time. The engagement from the staff is really high, the food is great and the learning development is excellent.
They coped with Covid really well and have safety measures in place whilst keeping the children actively involved in their usual

My granddaughter went to A Step Ahead Nursery for about a year and a half up until the Coronavirus lockdown. She started school two weeks ago where she settled immediately and is learning unbelievably fast due mainly to the preparation of the amazing ladies in the Caterpillar room at Lower Beeding.
There's a wonderful mix of free play, creative play and learning. Handovers are very thorough. I heard about every minute of her day. All the staff are extremely well trained and competent in their jobs, even the apprentices who have excellent role models. The kitchen offers a delicious menu of international dishes and also has no problem with dealing with dietary issues, my granddaughter is lactose intolerant. I'm completely convinced my daughter chose the right nursery and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to other people.

We arrived last year new to the country and area. A step ahead has been so helpful and understanding with all our needs as a new family with 2 young girls. The team is amazing, loving and caring. My eldest just started reception and they have been great with preparing her for it even during the trying
times we are in (covid19). Our little girls who still attends loves it. From the food to playtime and being outside. The nursery has adapted well to making us all feel safe and comfortable. Thank you so much. All of the best for years to come.

A Step Ahead is a fantastic nursery. We were nervous to send our second daughter to nursery after moving from Brighton and having such a positive experience with our first at nursery, being aprehensive to start somewhere new and unfamiliar for our second. We spent a long time visiting nurseries in the
surrounding area to A Step Ahead and made the decision based on the warmth of the staff and facilities for lots of different types of play, especially messy!
Fast forward two years and it is the best decision we made. The staff are all so fantastic. They are warm, kind, understanding and trustworthy and the values of the environment shine through in our daughter. She has a lot of allergies which have been dealt with excellently, adapting meals so that there is no missing out from what the other children are having. Our daughter is thriving with lots of friends and can’t wait to leave us every morning to run through the doors. A place I cannot recommend highly enough.

Our daughter started going to A Step Ahead when she was six months old (she's now just over 2), and she loves it. The staff are highly experienced and provide buckets of feedback which is essential for a first time mum. My daughter is thriving in a well-structured environment. Her grandparents regularly
comment about how impressed they are with how her physical development as well as her speech and troubleshooting/puzzle building. One of the many reasons why we choose A Step Ahead is because they have an on-site chef who prepares the children's meals from scratch, which is vital to us as we want our child to be as healthy as possible. Recently the nursery has helped us with her potty training. The staff were brilliant, providing regular feedback and praise for how well she was doing. I can't recommend A Step Ahead enough and look forward to them helping with the development of my daughter through to when she goes to school.

My daughter has attended A Step Ahead - Lower Beeding since she was 7 months old. I can not recommend the nursery and their caring staff enough. As a mother, leaving your baby in the care of someone else is terrifying; however, the entire process was seamless and I was completely reassured by the warm-hearted
nature of all the staff looking after my daughter. She has always arrived excited to see everyone, and on collection, she is always smiling and appears to have had a lovely day. Her development has excelled my expectations and I put this down to the array of activities the children do throughout the day. The staff are very flexible and where possible, have followed my daughters daily feed/nap routine. The nursery is kept in a clean manner and the children can enjoy a lovely garden all year round, something as an outdoor family is important to us.

Our son joined this nursery for the first time at the beginning of September and he has been thriving ever since. We are very pleased with the level of support we received from the staff, communication has been excellent in person, on email and through the Parent Zone app - we love seeing photos of
him during the day. Also, we have had a preference towards a vegan diet which the onsite chef has turned into a lovely experience - nothing seems to be too much trouble. There is ample parking which makes drop off's and pick up's an easy task. It's so lovely watching him being happy about going into nursery every morning, we could not thank everyone enough. We are pleased to have got a space here and would recommend the nursery without hesitation.

Our son (nearly 3) has been at A Step Ahead since he was around 6 months old and we've watched such changes in him since he started. He always comes home at the end of the day with a smile on his face, singing a new song or talking about his friends and favourite bits from nursery that day. The team
are creative with their daily activities and it's lovely getting the occasional update or photograph of him getting stuck in on Parent Zone. He loves the food, and annoyingly will eat things the cook makes that he won't touch at home!!!

My girls started A Step Ahead nursery in June this year - originally due to start in April however the national lockdown stopped that. Because of this they were unable to do the traditional settling in sessions which didn't bother them at all. All the staff there were so welcoming and caring and the
girls settled straight in, which made it so much easier for my husband and I also. They only need a few settling sessions and then started 2 full days a week. Since then they have come along leaps and bounds and that is down to the fantastic care that they get from everyone there! They love going to nursery and seeing all their friends and come home every evening and tell me all the fun they have been having.

A fabulous nursery with wonderful caregivers. My daughter has been attending since 10 months old. As a first-time mum, I was nervous about leaving her care to someone else but I need not have worried. She thrives in the fun, stimulating environment, loves the activities, food and staff. They have been
respectful to my wishes from the start and the end of day communication and online photos (sharing all she has done) has been excellent. I am sure she is happier seeing them in the morning then when I come to pick her up. As a parent, I feel confident and happy that she is well cared for and would highly recommend.

My son has been at A Step Ahead for 14 months. He has flourished while there. All staff are caring and considerate and adapt their approach to suit each child. They have such a range of activities and focus on how they can develop the child.
The outside space has been redone this summer and gives space
to run around with non-stop excitement!
They are also brilliant at adapting to additional needs for the child. My son has dietary requirements which they have not only catered for but ensured there is variety and provide any detail I need on his food. They have also used Makaton which has been a great benefit for my son.
On occasion, I think my son would much rather be there - even at the weekend!

Both of my girls have attended the nursery. My eldest started at 1 and attended until starting school this year. My youngest was just 8 months when she started. I cannot recommend this setting enough. The facilities are lovely, small enough to make it a home from home environment but large enough to
ensure all the children have space and a variety of activities to get involved with. However, it is the staff that really make it here. There hasn't been a single member past or present that hasn't helped to make my daughter's experiences great ones. Management are always available no matter how big or small your question. The growth both of them have experienced since starting has been massive. What a great nursery!
