I'm thrilled with A Step Ahead Nursery having seen a marked improvement in my daughter's communication skills and her increase in trying new foods. The support that has been given by all staff has been top-notch. The presentation of the nursery is always of the highest standard making this an ideal
place for children to flourish. The feedback given by staff on parent zone has been fantastic for driving activities at home. I feel that my daughter's security and wellbeing is being managed to the highest degree providing my wife and I with peace of mind.

A very good nursery, very happy with the care for my son. Especially during these tough times. Great receding reports on collection in what he has been doing and eating during the day.

After our daughter not settling at another nursery 2 months in having relocated to the area we changed to Step Ahead and never looked back. Staff are warm and friendly and our daughter just seemed to relax and have fun quite quickly. We loved that there’s a parents evening to chat about our child’s
development and so impressed at how management accommodated extra sessions. Would definitely recommend this nursery to others.

We have been very lucky to find the Step Ahead Nursery when we moved to the area. From the first visit guided by the Nursery's Manager, we had an impression that it will be a 'home from home' for our son and we were not wrong! Our son was one y.o. when he first joined, and from that moment on (he is
now almost 3) we felt reassured that he is in the good hands.
Both baby and toddler room teams are very supportive, dedicated to their work and extremely creative, so children are engaged and learning all the time.
The Manager and the team are always in search for the new ways to improve teaching and learning; giving each and every child the opportunity to progress. I was very pleased when the team members from toddler room offered to practice/use with our son some foreign words (to support his learning at home-as we juggle between 3 languages). Now, if I come 'too early' our son refuses to leave (as he is still busy!) - that's the best recommendation ever!

A Step Ahead is a fantastic nursery! We have three children and due to home moves and some nurseries only accepting older children, our children have between them attended five nurseries and this is easily the best. The staff are kind, friendly, helpful and really take time to get to know the children.
Our daughter has never cried going to A Step Ahead, instead has open arms reaching for her key person, who is wonderful. We can’t recommend it highly enough.

My daughter started attending A Step Ahead very shortly after we moved to Horsham. Despite her going to a different nursery prior to us moving, I felt she had never 100% settled there so I was a bit nervous about how things were going to go at A Step Ahead. It turned out I needn't have been! The staff
were absolutely lovely in making her feel welcome and within a week she was walking in with the biggest smile on her face. Her teachers were great not only at identifying what things she was already good at and what areas she needs a little help in, but also at giving her that extra bit of support in order for her to build up her confidence and be willing to try new things. I was very pleased with the activities organised there and with the large garden - one of the reasons we opted for A Step Ahead. I feel like the staff did a great job at preparing her for school and I look forward to my son starting there in a few months!

My child started at A Step Ahead in June. I felt very unsure about not been able to settle her in and be with her or she got used to her surroundings. But A Step Ahead made me feel totally at ease, she settled in no problem, all the girls were really lovely and made me feel like no question was a silly
question. She had come on leaps and bounds and has thrived over the last few months.
The nursery is lovely and I am so glad I made the choice to pick A Step Ahead.

We have just returned to A Step Ahead in Lower Beeding and I am so pleased we chose to come back to this nursery. The staff are smiling as soon as you walk in, and take such an interest in your child. My daughter has had little contact with anyone else since March but is opening up to the lovely staff
in the Caterpillar room already. My younger daughter is due to join when I return to work in January, and I have no worries about leaving her there. I would definitely recommend this establishment to other parents. It is set in a lovely location too!

Our son has been attending this nursery full time for the last two months and looks like he has lots of fun every single day! The staff are very good at communicating on a daily basis. My view so far is that they have great communication, great activities, lovely, smiling staff, bank holidays are not
charged and there is a discount scheme for 4 and 5 days per week, plenty of parking for pick up and drop off. However, in nearly two months our son had two accidents (one of which ended with a very noticeable bruise on his face triggering some subsequent unpleasant experiences) and some of his items of clothing have gone missing.

The nursery is a very lively place and it is inevitable that children stumble and fall - our practitioners are constantly on the lookout for potential fallers and actively manage children who are always in a rush (my Grandson only has one speed "flat out" - so I know how challenging this can be!). I have two girls and this is the first time I’ve ever left one of them in full-time nursery care. Well thank God I found A Step Ahead, my daughter has always been well cared for and well-fed with freshly cooked warm meals. Even last year when she became very poorly whilst at nursery, the staff looked
after her and comforted her like she was their own, I’ll always be grateful for that.

I have been picking up my goddaughter since she started at A Step Ahead Nursery in February 2020. From day one, the staff checked passwords and security and it felt very safe, a good start to inspire confidence. The shift lead of the youngest group was very warm and welcoming and took me through the
day of my goddaughter. As a newbie, I knew none of this routine and the staff explained very clearly. I even received a report sheet to take back to her mum and dad. We're now in October 2020 and I can see the development and intelligence of this young girl just growing daily. The exposure to a social, friendly, safe and fun environment has certainly helped. The staff here are so kind, caring and really know how to look after the children. It also takes good leadership to run the business, so a collective effort from all at A Step Ahead is certainly recognised. My goddaughter is happy and full of smiles at this nursery. I would not hesitate to recommend to others seeking a nursery.

My daughter has been at A Step Ahead Nursery since she was 1. The staff have always been friendly, professional and supportive. Particularly in the last 6 months when there have been so many restrictions in place. I have always felt confident that the children are being well looked after, within a safe
environment and their learning and interaction has not suffered due to Covid. She loves going to nursery and always comes out with a big smile on her face.

The staff are amazing at settling in my very nervous son. They are always informative and I feel that he is in a very safe environment. The manager first helped me get enrolled and gave me an excellent tour of the facilities.

I would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone considering bringing their child here. My daughter really enjoys her days there and is happy to be handed over to the amazing staff that she is very fond of. The app is great and I love the picture updates and insight into what she gets up to when
she is there. I cannot fault the nursery and staff in any way. A great place to help develop our child for when she is ready for school.

My two grandchildren have attended this nursery, one currently and I cannot praise the staff and management enough. The care and education they receive is second to none, and their enjoyment of the fantastic activities they take part in is immense, they don’t want to come home! It’s so reassuring to
have such a wonderful nursery and it means having no worries during the day about their wellbeing and enjoyment of the day. We were we so lucky to have found them.

Fantastic nursery - fantastic staff. I feel very happy leaving my two boys with the team. I leave them safe in the knowledge they will be very well looked after and have a fun day filled with lots of engaging activities, relevant to their ages. I would recommend the nursery to anyone. My daughter attended A Step Ahead Nursery from 9 months old until leaving for school. She always looked forward to going and had such incredible experiences. What really stood out for me is that the staff noticed all the little quirks my daughter had and the specific words she used which demonstrated
they really spent time with her one to one. I’m so pleased with the development she had during her time there, although she now loves school. We miss the nursery and she still talks about it now.

    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 54 number of registered child places is 10.8, which has been reached with 19 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
