Lower Beeding Day Nursery & Pre-school

We couldn’t be more happy with our experience at the nursery. We have had two children there and both have flourished under the care of the lovely staff. The activities are varied and engaging, the food is excellent and the staff really go the extra mile to ensure the children feel looked after. Thank you for looking after our girls!

A wonderful place filled with caring and enthusiastic staff. Our child prefers being there to home! Our child's language, manners, eating range and coping mechanisms have all improved markedly since arriving at Lower Beeding Day Nursery & Pre-school.

Wonderful nursery. The manager is fantastic and goes above and beyond. Excellent facilities for children to learn, great outdoor space. Staff and friendly and lovely. There have been a few occasions where room leads are on a day off and care has slightly slipped. Overall, very happy and my daughter is thriving here.

Great facilities and a lovely team where our child has a fun day and really has a chance to grow and flourish. You can see they enjoy their work and the children are happy, which makes it easy to entrust your little one with them.

My son has had the most wonderful time growing and learning at this nursery over the last 3 and a half years. It’s daunting to leave your child in someone else’s care but from the minute we stepped foot inside the nursery back in February 2020 we felt so comfortable. Every member of staff showed such warmth and caring that it made the transition so much smoother for all of us. My son has enjoyed each and every day with his friends and wonderful teachers and they have helped shape him into the wonderful little boy he is. He’s confident and happy and that’s partly down to the input from the team at the nursery. All we can say is a massive thank you and we would highly recommend it!

I am so thrilled to write a wonderful review for this nursery. We moved my daughter to the Nursery Family in January 2022 and I could not be any more happier with the care and educational foundations she will be going on to school with. Our original transition from her previous nursery was easy and very well supported with a welcome sign on her first day! We quickly moved to pre-school and we have done science experiments, learnt to write our letters, and can count to 20 all whilst learning about patience and kindness and how we should use this every day.

The food is wonderful, truly home cooked and the cakes are outstanding! The staff are really kind and invested in providing a wonderful environment which you can see through their wonderful open days, Christmas events and stay and play sessions.

Thank you all so much you will be so missed!

One final point - I have noticed that fathers can sometimes be overlooked in the wonderful world of parenting generally. The opportunity to spend an afternoon with my daughter at the nursery (and a breakfast sandwich!) to acknowledge Father's Day was a nice touch and yet another example of the wonderful environment that exists here. Please don't ever change, it's things like this that make you special!

What a great place for my daughter to attend.

The staff in the toddler room are fantastic, the nursery team and everyone else who spends time with my daughter are valued by her. She cannot wait to see them on arrival and tells us all about what they got up to when she gets home. The atmosphere is so positive and reassuring that she feels comfortable and happy to attend.

The nursery has been super in helping promote independence and character building, we are very grateful for the input from all staff and the continued handover at the end of each day.

We cannot fault the chef, she caters for all appetites and our daughter always comes home having eaten well and having tried a variety of foods.

The whole team are all brilliant, we are so happy to have found this nursery.

Wonderful things come in small packages. This was delivered to my desk this morning from my little boy via Lower Beeding nursery. As a working mum, the mum guilt can be a real kicker, but I bat it away as best I can and these tiny moments of appreciation mean the world. I love that my little boy’s nursery not only focuses on his growth and development but they take into account the culture and society which surrounds him.

My little boy goes to Lower Beeding Day Nursery and we were recently invited to the Christmas open day! It truly was magical - so many wonderful activities for the children. All staff were so welcoming and showed great interest in all the families who were attended. This was also on a Saturday and all staff who were there were full of energy and kindness. It was so lovely to get a chance to eat some of the food that the children do too. A really lovely day.

This nursery is really outstanding. A lot of changes in a short space of time at the nursery worried us at first but the changes have absolutely been for the better. Our son has flourished and the new structure has him excited to go to nursery every day. From a parents perspective it feels as though decisions are based around what is genuinely best for the children. The staff are always keen to listen, answer our questions and react to our feedback. A really positive change for us is being allowed back inside to collect the children! We are looking forward to sending our daughter to this nursery in the very near future. Highly recommended. Look no further!

His development there is incredible, I especially love the updates and pictures we receive of the fun and learning they do throughout the day.

The communication is exceptional from updates on what they are eating each week to updates on what's happening in each room.

I have my youngest starting in the baby room in January, I know she will love it with the room leader and the team there.

I’m so happy I chose this nursery for my child. The staff here are just amazing. They are so friendly and have built great relationships with myself and my son. They are patient and work to every child’s own pace of development. He has developed so much since going here and progressed significantly over the last few months. He loves his time here and enjoys all the different activities that he gets up to. I’ve also just enrolled my other child to attend soon and I have no doubt that he will thrive by being here too.

I am so relieved to have found such a fabulous and accommodating nursery. From trial sessions at other nurseries and just not feeling comfortable to coming here, my daughter settled instantly. The facilities are great, she loves playing in the outside area in all weathers and making the most of the well-equipped indoor facilities. Her speech has come on hugely and her confidence reflects the security and encouragement that the super friendly staff provide. She eats well and always comes home clean and well-presented. Special mention to her key worker who goes over and beyond to reassure me that she is settling well and coping with the routine she has now got. All staff and management I have the pleasure of meeting are very engaging and comforting to the point she will happily go to them with a smile on her face. We are very lucky to have such a fantastic nursery for her to attend.

The nursery has recently been refurbished both inside and outside, it's a beautiful setting...perfect for little ones to explore and let their imagination flourish.

Our little boy couldn’t love his time at nursery any more. He reaches for the girl's in the morning for cuddles' and asks after his key workers' and friends' when he’s not there. He’s settled really well and all the staff are so friendly and attentive. It’s such a nice setting too and the outdoor play area is lovely. Two members of staff, in particular, deserve a mention for how brilliant they have been at settling our son, and for how much he’s fallen in love with them!

I can’t find a fault anywhere. My boys adore their time at nursery. Staff are friendly, engaging and work hard to both support and bond with the children. The nursery is clean, well equipped and my children are thriving there. Special mention to one member of staff in particular as both my boys adore her and she’s really helped my youngest to settle in.

The same staff who cared for our eldest 6 years ago are still there which speaks volumes in an industry where staff turn over can be high.

My son has been going to A Step Ahead Nursery (Horsham) for almost 2 years now and we are delighted with our choice of nursery. Its rural setting was a big positive for us as well as its outside space, parking etc. however what sets it apart from any other nurseries we visited was, without doubt, the staff. All of the staff are incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic about their job. They clearly care about each child and when discussing our son's day with them, you almost forget that they have multiple other children to look after, such is the level of attention that the children clearly receive. Our son spends time whole drive home telling us about how much he has enjoyed his day and we love hearing every second of it.

Our daughter started at A Step Ahead almost 2 years ago. It's nerve-wracking selecting a nursery for your baby and I viewed several before visiting and picking Step Ahead. What stood out to me versus the others was how well every member of staff engaged with the babies and children e.g. knew their names and personality quirks even if they weren't part of their day to day care. I think this adds a lovely family feel to the nursery. The staff are very caring and supportive and I like how they approach each child as an individual. I love hearing about all the exciting activities my daughter has been involved and all the great food she has eaten. It is important to me that my daughter is in a happy, fun and caring environment, a home from home, and in Step Ahead we have found exactly that. Highly recommended.
