It's a really lovely nursery and both of my children who went there still talk about it. They love the staff and were always entertained and educated.
Both my children attended Young Sussex from nine months old, to when they were four years old and always skipped in each day with happy faces. The staff are all very caring and really get to know each child as individuals. The nursery itself offers a lot for the children including yoga, music lessons, cooking and forest school, all included in the price. It is a safe, clean environment and on the rare occasion when a problem arose the staff dealt with it quickly and professionally. Now that my children have left my lasting impression of the nursery is one of the excellent care, attention and professionalism the whole staff gave towards my children. I have no reservations in recommending this nursery.
Young Sussex Nursery have provided excellent support for our family in the transition of our daughter starting nursery. The staff genuinely provide a high level of care for the children and develop a keen understanding of their needs. Our daughter thoroughly enjoys all her time at nursery and her key worker is flexible and works hard to support her development.
When my daughter started with tasters the staff were very good and she was very happy. When she started school she has been very happy to come in and I feel very at ease to leave her. I am very happy with the staff and the nursery.
My daughter has been with the nursery for 9 months. She is very happy and has settled in really well. The Senior Nursery Practitioner always gives me honest feedback about how she is getting on. My daughter's Grandpa is battling cancer so I've been worried about her emotional well-being, however the nursery fully supported this news and I've felt secure that my daughter has a safe, happy place to come to. She seems to get on well with all the children and is learning quickly.
My son loves attending nursery. The staff are dedicated and caring and seem to truly care about my son and his development. He seems to be entertained for the entire day and is given plenty of opportunities to play outside which is very important to me.
She made friends and was looked after by her main carer and the other carers very well. It was
nice to see a lot of photos and a few videos posted in Tapestry!
My daughter enjoyed the yoga classes, playing in the lovely outdoors area, doing lots of drawings and
crafts.
My daughter also enjoyed visiting the ladies at the office on her way out of the nursery and chatting with them!
It is sad that my daughter has to leave Young Sussex nursery but it's time to move on.

She adores her key worker and talks about her all the time at home. All the staff seem to genuinely enjoy their job and give us thorough updates at the end of the day.
The nursery is clean and well managed with lots of facilities including a large garden. I would highly recommend it.

We are given daily updates from hours slept/food eaten/activities which provide us with a comprehensive summary of what she had done - leaving us confident in the staff.

We love Dyke Road Young Sussex. Our daughter has settled in really well, she adores her key worker and looks forward to going every time which is fabulous. Her learning, speech, social skills and general understanding have come on leaps and bounds since joining. She has made so many friends and talks about them all the time at home which is lovely.
The staff are very attentive and offer advice when needed and support the children and parents. The management staff have been fantastic especially when adding in extra sessions at the last minute!! It has been wonderful to see our children developing in safe nurturing environment and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the nursery.
We are delighted that Young Sussex had vacancies for our children. Both of them have been regular attenders since they were six months. The staff are wonderful and have always looked after them so well. We couldn't be happier. Our son is a regular yoga fan thanks to all the activities he gets to experience.

Meet the Team (1)
After leaving school, I studied Health & Social Care, knowing that I wanted a career helping people. This included a placement in a nursery, which I loved, and I’ve not looked back since!
For ten years, I worked my way up in a local nursery to be their Deputy Manager. I was also working with children aged 3-16 in a Women’s Refuge Project (now RISE). In 2007, I joined Young Sussex as Deputy Manager and was promoted to Nursery Manager in early 2012.
As a manager, I enjoy being on the frontline and having that initial and lasting contact with parents. As a parent of two children who also attended Young Sussex, I feel I can relate to parents starting at the nursery, empathise with their situation and help them throughout their child’s time at nursery.
