Couldn't thank more for all the care, love and attention this nursery gave to my son.


He's in reception now but still passing nursery gates by saying Hi and with joy chatting to stuff.


It was amazing experience with professionals working in this nursery.


We had lot's ups and downs with speach delay

and easily getting overwhelmed or too excited but thanks to experienced and loving professionals working here my son learned a lots how to deal with his emotions and not only.


Would recommend it over and over again.

My family has recently moved to Brighton and so my daughter moved from her previous nursery at age 3. I was worried about the transition for her, but Young Sussex were welcoming, knowledgeable and have been so supportive to us as a family. Our daughter had settled in so well and it's lovely to watch
her go in confident and calm every morning. I trust everyone who works here and would highly recommend it for any other families.

Young Sussex is a really wonderful nursery and special place for children to grow up. Our daughter (now four) has been there since she was one and we have watched her grow into a confident, caring and funny little girl. The staff are amazing, gentle and patient and consistent, providing that supportive
and nurturing environment at each stage of development. The children have so many opportunities to develop interests through all of the activities and play. The outside space is fantastic, our daughter loves the garden and any opportunity to play in the mud kitchen! Communication with the staff is brilliant and feels like a partnership, they are so considered and really care for the needs of the children.
Our son (one) has recently started and he loves nursery too, it is wonderful to see the bonds he is forming with the staff already. We are moving out of the area, so sadly leaving but we are so grateful to Young Sussex for the wonderful start they have given our children.

Young Sussex nursery has been amazing for my children. My youngest left in August to start school and he's more than ready to be at school and this is down to the nursery and the teaching they give them. Both of my children started from age 1 until they left for school and I have loved them being at
young Sussex I would highly recommend. The staff are very kind and professional and the environment is great for the kids. Any incidents were dealt with so well and made me feel so comfortable. My youngest needed cream applied to his skin daily and they did this for him and he was very comfortable having this done. Thank you for helping my children thrive ready for school!!

Young Sussex is an excellent nursery. Our daughter started there at 10 months and had a very gentle start (for both her and us). She grew up there, running in every morning and was always greeted kindly, by her name, by known member of staff. Her days were filled with great activities, amazing food
and we were updated all the way through.
Her progress and needs were often discussed and we had informal chat about her day every day.
We, unfortunately, had to change nursery after we moved away but would have loved to keep her there until school.
Now we have another nursery to compare, we can definitely say that Young Sussex made our daughter feel happy and special on a daily basis.

An absolutely wonderful nursery, my son attended since he was 12 months and has just left to start reception. He had the best experience at Young Sussex and has flourished into a confident and curious boy.
The staff are caring, nurturing and cater to each child's needs. You really build a relationship
with the team who have all been there a long time which is testament to a great team.
They have lots of space indoors and out and the separate baby garden is really nice.
The opening hours and flexibility of attendance was a huge benefit to us.
We are looking forward to sending our youngest soon and seeing everyone again.

I cannot speak highly enough of this wonderful nursery and the incredible impact they had on my son during his time there from age 1 to 4.


The team genuinely invested in his development, building his confidence day by day and ensuring he had all the skills and knowledge he needed to be completely school-ready.

There is a wide variety of toys, activities, fun dress up days, nature club, messy play, soft play, dancing, singing etc.


When his first day of school arrived, he skipped through the gates without looking back, excited and prepared for this new chapter. The staff gave him a genuinely positive first experience of education that has set the foundation for his love of learning. We feel so fortunate to have found such an exceptional nursery and couldn't recommend them more highly to other families.

Both our children have attend Young Sussex in Brighton, so we have been involved with the school for more than 5 years. It has been a fantastic experience from beginning to end. We joined after a complex experience with our first nursery, and were welcomed with constant kindness, compassion and professionalism.
Both our children had a wonderful time, building close bonds with teachers, who rapidly became key figures in their emotional development and learning. I genuinely cannot recommend the school highly enough. We even moved out of the city and continued to take our children into Brighton so they could still attend Young Sussex. Management have been especially important in our journey, deftly navigating funding changes, the COVID experience and all the challenges the Early Years sector faces in the UK. A special place. There were a lot of happy tears on our last day...

Our son started at Young Sussex Hove in Easter 2025, and being only 7 months we were worried he would find being in nursery overwhelming. We chose Young Sussex because of the lovely garden space for the young children, the happy and caring staff, and the term time option. Two staff members and the other
team members really put our minds at ease when our son had his settling in sessions. Our son really loves being at YS and is always happy when we drop off and pick up. The staff listen to our concerns and are very happy to adjust to our son's needs. We are really happy that he is at YS and recommend it to other parents.

I have been so happy with my child's progress and development since starting at Young Sussex. It was nerve wrecking bringing her here for the first time- she is our first child and we didn't know what to expect- but from the moment she started, we have all been made to feel so welcome and at ease. Both of my children have attended Youngs Sussex nursery and I couldn't be happier with the level of care they have received. The staff are genuinely incredible and very attentive to the children's needs. The management are always accommodating of any requests or needs of the parents.
Upon leaving
the nursery for school, both of my children are more than school-ready, thanks to the guidance and encouragement the nursery has provided.
The school that my children attend have also commented on what a wonderful nursery Young's Sussex is and the children that have attended there are always ready for the transition from nursery to school.

Our daughter absolutely flourished at Young Sussex Nursery and loved her time there. All of the staff are genuinely wonderful - helpful, kind and patient with the children, we felt they were both being looked after so brilliantly that we didn't worry at all about her when we dropped her off. Young Sussex
is also a lovely space with the kids spending plenty of time outdoors and encouraged to participate in a wide range of activities. I couldn't recommend it highly enough!

Our twins joined Young Sussex Nursery just after their first birthday and have had a brilliant experience so far. The girls absolutely love being there and it sounds like they have a huge variety of activities throughout the day. The staff are extremely welcoming and knowledgeable, in both the nursery
itself and the office. As a parent, we love the flexibility Young Sussex offers, being able to sign up for term time and part time, whilst also having the option to swap and extend sessions as and when is brilliant. We feel confident that our children are well cared for and would highly recommend YS to anyone!

Our son joined Young Sussex Nursery at the end of last year, and we have been extremely happy with the support, care, and consistency that the nursery has provided in helping him settle in. After looking around the many nurseries in the area, we settled for YS due to it's smaller size, great outdoor
space, and most importantly, the longevity of the staff members. We feel a real sense of community here, and our son's key worker and other staff members always have the time to provide feedback on his day at nursery, along with his overall development. They offer a nice mix of activities throughout the day, from outdoors play, climbing, and messy play, to reading, singing and art. We are kept up-to-date throughout the day on nappy changes, nap time and longevity, and what our son has eaten, along with photos to show the activities he's been engaging in. This is so important for us, and reminds us that our son is being well looked after.
