Bluebell Hill Children's Nursery is a day nursery in a lovely old converted house close to the centre of Eastbourne offering warm, friendly and stimulating childcare, either full-time or part-time.

The nursery has bright and well-equipped rooms, full of things to keep your child happy and stimulated. There are lovely walled mature gardens where children can enjoy lots of outdoor play and exploration, especially in the nature area where they can look for bugs, birds and plants.

The nursery and gardens are completely enclosed and security is paramount. Located in a quiet residential road just off St Anthony’s Avenue in Eastbourne, it is close to Sovereign Harbour, Langney and Hampden Park and easily accessible from the town centre.

Funding & Fees

  • 2025 FEES - Children aged 0 – 5 years: £340.00 per week / Day full (8 am–6 pm) £76.00 per day / Session morning (8 am-1 pm) £49.00 per session / Session afternoon (1 pm-6 pm) £49.00 per session.

  • Parents can book their child in to attend from 7:30 am up to 6:30 pm. These are charged at £8.00 per half-hour or part-half-hour.


    Terms of Payment (please see our Terms and Conditions).
    A non-refundable fee of £25 is payable on registration, along with an £80 refundable deposit for securing a place. Fees are charged on a monthly basis. Fees are payable monthly in advance, by standing order or BACS by the last day of the preceding month or by cheque by the 24th of the preceding month.
    The nursery closes at 1 pm Christmas Eve, for the period between Christmas and New Year and on bank holidays. No charge is made during scheduled nursery closures.

I love the staff. All teachers are really nice and engaging with the children. They provide great menus and different activities for children. I like that they are flexible with the time of picking up my child.
They communicate very well as well as having a communication book and online photo service.
They are giving milestones to kids to hit - all within reasonable "difficulty" for their individual development level.

Bluebell Hill is fantastic, my little boy has been attending since 11months old, he is now 3 and he loves it, sometimes he can be quite shy but he runs straight into nursery without any fuss which is all credit to them. All staff know his name regardless if they are from his room or another.

I have been highly impressed with the standard of care that my daughter has received so far at bluebell Hill.
I have lovely feedback each time I collect my daughter and this is reflected in the artwork and the way my daughter runs into the building each morning.
Even after such a short period

Staff are always polite and respond to my son's needs i.e. when unwell. He settled so quickly and enjoys watching others play - the variety of activities offered is also great stimulation. Changing and feed time can still be a bit hit and miss at home so it's interesting to compare his nursery experience.
The range of activities and songs he learns are evident at home so even at 16 months, I can see how the nursery experience benefits him.

This has been the best setting I could have wished for my children. They are happy, settled and love their time here. I will be sad when it is time for them to move on. The staff are brilliant and really make effort to know the children. I feel happy knowing my children are happy and safe.

My Grandson has been attending Bluebell Hill for nearly a year now. In that time he has grown in confidence and has become a very sociable little boy. He is very inquisitive and is highly stimulated by those involved in his learning journey. Most importantly, he feels comfortable and secure and has
an excellent relationship with his carers and has also formed some great friendships with other children in his group. I cannot express my gratitude enough to the professional approach of all the Management and staff who have helped my Grandson over an extremely difficult period in his life. Our daughter has been at Bluebell Hill over a year now. From the day we looked around to present day we have always got a good feeling and can tell all the passion the staff have towards children. Our daughter always looks forward to going and is always talking about what she has done and friends she

I could not recommend this nursery enough. Both my sons have grown up here. It's truly a lovely family feel nursery where the children are loved, cared for and have a wonderful time. The staff are brilliant. The kids are happy and look forward to coming in. The children are well behaved, encouraged
to look after each other and good friendships are formed. A truly brilliant nursery!!

My daughter started in the nursery nearly two months ago. I am very happy with our choice! My daughter settled now, she is happy here and if she is happy I am happy. The staff are always helpful and friendly. They are amazing with the babies. The nursery is nice and clean with a beautiful and huge garden.

The nursery staff worked really hard to help my daughter settle in as she was only 7 and a half months old when she started. Initially, she cried all of the time and wouldn't eat much or drink milk. After a lot of trying different methods, my daughter is now settled and really loves it and eats and
drinks well.

Sam Leeves

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2021

I have worked with children for the last 6 years and have been at Bluebell Hill for nearly 4 years now. I started as relief staff whilst completing my degree in early years education, and have since enjoyed progressing in my career and constantly building on my knowledge of the early years. I love being able to teach and inspire children every day, and mentoring staff in giving children the best possible experiences whilst at nursery.


I am also the nursery SENDco and am passionate about ensuring inclusion is at the heart of everything we do, working closely with families and children to ensure every child gets the best possible outcomes from their time with us!


In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, walking my two dogs and going to the gym!

Chloe is our amazing Deputy Manager at Bluebell Hill. Chloe has worked in childcare for 8 years, gaining lots of experience with all ages. Chloe joined the Bluebell team in 2021 and is an asset to our management team.

Harriet is our fantastic Operations Manager. Harriet has over 16 years of experience working in the Early Years. Harriet joined the Bluebell family as the Nursery Manager of Bluebell Wood and now as the Operations Manager, Harriet oversees the running of all three of our fabulous nurseries.
