Pennypot Day Nursery, located in Chobham and part of the Childbase Partnership group of nurseries, is registered to offer admission to 116 children whose parents can then enjoy the peace of mind of leaving their child with qualified professionals and in an environment excellent for creativity and learning. They have also obtained their Green Flag Eco-Schools Award at distinction level.

Pennypot hold the extracurricular activity of 'Melody Movements' every Friday morning.

Staff look to respect the opinions and concerns of parents at all times, with a friendly service that does not compromise on the high standards of security, health and hygiene that the Childbase Partnership has always prided itself on.

My daughter has just graduated from Pennypot after being there for 4.5 years and from the age of 5 months. I cannot rate it highly enough. All the staff were amazing with her, got to know her so well, and I felt they genuinely loved her. Despite being in the pre-school room for almost 2 years, she didn't
get bored until the last few weeks and she learnt so much. She's left nursery easily able to write her name, knows more about the solar system than I do and can even do simple maths, none of which was taught by me! I would absolutely recommend this nursery, the staff seem happy in their work and the children are definitely happy, confident snd sociable.

We love Pennypot Day Nursery. My daughter started going in 2022 at 1 years old when I went back to work and has just left ready to go to school. The team are attentive and knowledgeable to her development, they care for her excellently and we did not need to worry about her while in their care. She
was happy and healthy! We are genuinely sad to leave and would recommend this nursery to anyone needing childcare. 5*

Pennypot Nursery is truly wonderful! From the moment my son started, we knew we had found the perfect place. The staff are so caring, nurturing, and attentive - they treat every child as an individual and go above and beyond to make them feel happy and settled. My son absolutely loves going in every
day, which says it all. The activities are creative, engaging, and tailored to encourage his learning through play, and we've noticed such a positive difference in his confidence, independence, and development since being there.
The setting itself is bright, safe, and welcoming, with fantastic outdoor space that my son enjoys exploring. Communication with parents is also excellent - we always feel involved and updated with what my son has been up to.
I couldn't recommend Pennypot Nursery more highly. It gives us complete peace of mind knowing my son is in such a supportive and inspiring environment where he's thriving.

Our daughter attended Pennypot nursery for nearly 3.5 years. During her time there, she has thrived and grown in confidence. This is very much due to the safe, pleasant and caring environment that the nursery and its staff has provided. Staff at Pennypot are genuinely enthusiastic about their work
and are very supportive of both the children and their parents. We are very grateful for our daughter's time at Pennypot and we would whole heartedly recommend this nursery.

I simply cannot say enough good things about this nursery. My two sons have been right through the nursery. One from only 5.5 months old. They have always been amazing. Keeping them safe, simulated and learning. They love the food, the staff the grounds. I will miss them all so much as we now move on
to school. They are utterly outstanding, I have not one negative.

Pennypot Nursery has been such a revelation for my son. The care he has received in the Caterpillars room has been second to none. The ladies all seem to LOVE the children, and they all seem to enjoy their jobs. Whenever I pick up my son, they update me on all his little quirks, and tell me funny stories
of what he's been getting up to. These include key details, which highlight to me the care and attention they show him throughout the day, every day. His confidence has really improved since going to nursery, and whenever I pick him up, he seems completely relaxed and happy.
We are so thrilled we chose Pennypot. It is the best (in my opinion) nursery in the area!

I can't recommend Pennypot Day Nursery enough! My son has been attending for some time now, and the level of care and attention he receives is truly exceptional. The staff at Pennypot are incredibly friendly, professional, and genuinely caring. They go above and beyond to make sure that each child feels
safe, happy, and supported throughout the day.
The team is always warm and welcoming, and they create a nurturing environment where children can thrive. The communication with parents is excellent, and I always feel well-informed about my son's progress and daily activities.
It's clear that the staff are not only highly skilled but also passionate about their work, which gives me peace of mind knowing my child is in such capable hands. My son has now been at Pennypot (Caterpillars room) since September and he simply loves it. When I was pregnant, we did a tour of nurseries in the area, and I can say, hands down, Pennypot was the "McLaren" of nurseries. The facilities are beautifully complimented by kind, compassionate, knowledgeable
staff, who understand each of the stages of development, but also the needs of each individual child. The care they have given my son, specifically in relation to his development, allergies and preferences has stretched far beyond what we could have hoped for. An example has taken place recently, where the staff, knowing my son loves everything "dog", have bought him various dog-related books and toys to help him with his development, but also just to make sure he is comfortable and happy.
We are so thrilled our son goes to Pennypot. Absolutely amazing in every way.

We would recommend Pennypot Day Nursery to other parents wholeheartedly! Our son joined the Caterpillar room at 10 months old on a full-time basis and settled in from day one, and we couldn't be happier with our choice to send him there.
The absolute best thing about Pennypot is the staff. From his
keyworkers and the rest of the Caterpillar team, to the kitchen staff and the front desk team, everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Within a matter of days of joining, everyone we passed at drop off said hello and knew his name. When he was at home poorly, they called to check in to see how he's doing and we just know they genuinely care. And when we starting talking about the transition to the next room, we were close to tears as know how much he loves the staff who look after him - although we have no doubt the Ladybird room will be just as good for him!
The facilities (garden etc.) are also great, he does tonnes of activities and eats so well (better than at home for sure!). Thank you Pennypot!

I honestly could not recommend enough about this nursery. When I was 7 months pregnant we went round a number of nurseries in the area and both my husband and I felt immediately this was the one for us. Ultimately as parents we have to choose somewhere we feel is a warm, friendly environment but also
a place you can trust. We felt this and haven't looked back - our daughter is thriving. From the sensory way she learns, the attention she gets from all staff members (from key workers, the other fab team members around her, the chefs! To the reception and management) - every single person is a delight and I know everyday we leave her she's in safe and happy hands.
Cannot thank the team enough.

Our daughter has been in the Caterpillars room for 3 months and loves it. We couldn't be happier with the care she receives and how we can see that she is developing. She has built great relationships with not just her key worker but with all of the team at the nursery. You can see how well cared for
and how happy all of the children are. We are looking forward to seeing how our daughter continues to flourish when she moves up to Ladybirds next month. We would very much recommend Pennypot Day Nursery to anyone considering the nursery.

The Pennypot staff in the Caterpillars room and reception have all been very welcoming and supportive during the settle-in sessions. The updates on the app have been very detailed and helped us understand our child's development. Our daughter has thoroughly enjoyed the varied menu on offer. As an anxious
mother, I was nervous at the prospect of our daughter starting nursery, however, the Caterpillar staff were patient during the settle-in period and got to know our child. She has since grown in her skillset, social skills and personality. It is great to see her now confidently and enthusiastically walk into Pennypot.

I cannot explain how happy we are that our little boy attends Pennypot Day Nursery. Having been a teacher myself, we looked at a LOT of nurseries but fell in love with Pennypot as soon as we visited. The staff are so friendly and welcoming from the start and it's so lovely and reassuring to see the
genuinely affectionate bonds they build with the children who attend. Our little boy is so happy to go in and regularly makes us wait so he can give adults in his room a cuddle or say goodbye properly before we go home at the end of the day. He has developed so much since he first started and his confidence has grown a lot too. Transitions between rooms are very carefully thought out and it is clear that every effort is made to make these as smooth as possible for the children and their parents.
We are currently expecting baby number 2 and have already completed a registration form for 2027 - there is nowhere else we would want her to go to nursery!

We were very nervous sending our little girl to nursery as she had never been in a childcare setting before. The staff at Pennypot were amazing at helping her settle in and gave her the confidence and support she needed. Since being at Pennypot our daughter has learnt so much, she is so happy there

Our little boy started at Pennypot when he was 13 months old. As our first, we were naturally anxious about finding somewhere we could really trust and where we felt he would be looked after as if he was at home. We found just that place in Pennypot and couldn't be happier! We fell in love with the
nursery when looking around on a sunny day in the summer before our little boy was even born. When the time came for our son to start going to nursery we wondered if the reality would live up to our expectations but it has surpassed all hopes. All of the staff are warm and friendly and it is clear they care about the children and take pride in the nursery. The outside spaces are great and the children do a wide variety of activities. A particular member of staff has been amazing as our son's key worker. He is now about to "graduate" out of the baby room and into Ladybirds as a sociable, happy little boy excited for what is to come! It really is a fabulous nursery and we are so happy to have found it.

The wonderful staff at Pennypot made our little one's transition from home to nursery one of fun and comfort, which in turn eased my wife's transition back to work. The settling sessions offered were the perfect amount of time for us all to get to grips with the new routine and the communication during,
and at the end of, each day is brilliant. We especially like seeing the delicious menu offered to our son and hearing what/how much he's eaten.
The learning opportunities in the rooms seem broad and well-targeted at the children's ages and interests and we love seeing the photos of the different activities he enjoys throughout the day.
We are always welcomed by happy, enthusiastic staff every time we drop off/pick up and my son practically jumps into their arms every morning! We feel so lucky to have found such a warm, friendly and caring place to leave our little man and feel safe in the knowledge that his needs are being brilliantly met. Thank you, Manager and team!

We were extremely nervous sending our son to nursery when he was 8.5 months old and leaving him was hard, but it didn't take long for us to realise our son was having the best time at Pennypot and we quickly felt very comfortable. The staff have been fantastic with our son, he adores them so much, he
reaches out for them at drop off! The daily updates on the app are great as we know what he has eaten throughout the day, nappy changes and nap times, we also get occasional photos which is lovely to see. We are very impressed with how attentive the staff are with our son and how well they know him. They always do what they can to cater to our son's needs and what works for him with nap times and specific toys, even when it is different to other children his age group. We have required additional support due to our son's developmental needs and the staff have been so supportive and helpful. We cannot thank them enough! We would highly recommend Pennypot!

We feel very lucky to have our two children at Pennypot Nursery! We have been impressed by the settings of the rooms: very spacious, lots of light and very organised. The staff are very friendly and very helpful, they always greet you with a big smile and both our children enjoy their days at Pennypot!

Carol is Manager of the award-winning Pennypot Day Nursery in Chobham and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the Early Years sector for 23 years. Carol has numerous qualifications, including a BA(Hons) Degree in Childcare & Education and Early Years Professional Status. In May 2022, Carol celebrates her 21st anniversary at Childbase Partnership.


What is your favourite feature of Pennypot?
I have many especially the large outdoor environment and fantastic rural location, as well as my amazing team.


What are you most proud of about your team?
Their passion and determination to constantly strive to improve outcomes for our children. We also have many long-serving staff members which is amazing.
