Pennypot Day Nursery, located in Chobham and part of the Childbase Partnership group of nurseries, is registered to offer admission to 116 children whose parents can then enjoy the peace of mind of leaving their child with qualified professionals and in an environment excellent for creativity and learning. They have also obtained their Green Flag Eco-Schools Award at distinction level.

Pennypot hold the extracurricular activity of 'Melody Movements' every Friday morning.

Staff look to respect the opinions and concerns of parents at all times, with a friendly service that does not compromise on the high standards of security, health and hygiene that the Childbase Partnership has always prided itself on.

I can't recommend this nursery highly enough. All the staff are warm, kind and genuinely care about each child's individual needs. My son settled so quickly and I'm always happy to know he is in their care.

Since starting nursery, our son has thrived and massively developed. We were worried to start with as we started nursery at 10 months, however, our key person has been fantastic. The staff is absolutely phenomenal and we have been very much impressed with the care. We are in the Caterpillar room for
babies. Updates are great, they have an app and provide updates for your child during the day. Their updates are great when you do pick them up, they update you on their sleep, eating, milk, etc. Overall we highly recommend the nursery, they do genuinely care. There are small things that do make a difference like all their staff knowing all kid's and parent's names.

We would 100000000% recommend Pennypot Day Nursery. Our daughter is in the Caterpillar room (babies). The team in that room are fantastic - you can tell they really care about her and are so passionate about what they do. They give brilliant updates when you go to collect them. They also give great
updates throughout the day so you know how much they are sleeping/eating etc. as well as weekly and monthly in depth updates on their progress. It’s lovely to drop her off knowing how much she loves it there, and we could never replicate the same experiences at home. We have zero concerns or complaints and would definitely recommend.

We absolutely love Pennypot Day Nursery! Leaving your baby to go to work is very difficult, but knowing that our little guy is happy, cared for, and exposed to fantastic learning opportunities throughout his days makes it a lot easier! The staff is friendly, reliable, collaborative, and informative
and they treat our little guy with nothing but love and respect. We couldn't be happier with our choice of nurseries and we are excited to see our little guy flourish there over the next 4 years.

Our little boy took a little while to take to nursery but the staff were really lovely, and he now enjoys going and really loves his key worker. The staff take a genuine interest in his development but also give advice and tips on naps, as well as following your routine at home. When we started all
the staff were really welcoming to us all and it’s lovely that they remember all our names, it makes such a difference.
He has come on leaps and bounds since joining Penny Pot, and also loves the food. It’s really nice to see all the things he gets up to via the app, lots of messy play!

We viewed a handful of nurseries, but on stepping foot in Pennypot, we knew it was the one for our son. The staff were friendly and approachable and had good knowledge of their workplace. There is clearly a good leadership presence within the nursery with the manager clearly visible and taking time
to learn not only all the children’s names, but the parents too. The nursery business administrator is welcoming and communicates in an impeccable manner and has helped with all our queries in a timely manner. Parting with your child is never easy, but Pennypot made the process seamless and put us anxious parents at ease! Our son has thrived since joining the nursery and has built some very special bonds with not only his key workers, but the other staff that work within the room. We have loved reading the weekly updates to see how the staff are not only looking after our son in a kind and caring manner, but how they are working with him to develop and reach milestones. Thank you all!

Great nursery for our son and highly recommended! He has really settled in here and enjoys going. The staff are all really lovely and friendly and helped us feel relaxed about leaving him there. The communication from the staff is very thorough and you always feel like you are up to date. It's got great
facilities and the outdoor space is much better than a lot of other local nurseries. Highly recommended.

I absolutely love Pennypot.
The nursery is very clean ( a priority for us )

I had both of my children at the nursery (the eldest at school now) and can strongly recommend.


The nursery itself is nice with a lovely garden where children are free to go whenever they like.


The staff is caring and really focus on the child development and wellbeing.

Our son started day nursery at Pennypot Day Nursery at the end of 2021 when he was 10 months old and I had to return to work. Previously he had not been left with anyone without a parent present and so it was a bit of an adjustment for both him and us. I couldn't be happier with Pennypot. All the staff
took an interest in our son and seem genuinely happy to see him each day. He soon found his feet and loves to spend his days there now. His key carers have taken the time to understand his interests and create tailor-made activities just for him which is lovely to see.


Despite having a busy room of children, I always feel like my son is receiving the attention he wants and is being cared for as well as if I were there myself. I love the updates I get using the Nursery App, I still feel connected with my son's day despite not being there. I very much appreciate the flexibility and adaptability of the staff. Can't recommend it more highly.

Newly immigrated and just finding our feet in a new community, we were very nervous to send our 2-year old son to nursery for the first time. Covid and the constant self-isolation imposed by the pandemic had made him quite shy and introverted.


His placement at Pennypot Day Nursery was a godsend

– they really helped him blossom with his development and he has come out of his shell so much! The key care people assigned to him have been amazing, as were the broader team in the Bumblebee room along with all of the support staff.


We highly recommended Pennypot Day Nursery and are immensely thankful to the staff for the care they took of our little boy.

I don't have enough good words to describe Pennypot Nursery. It is a special place where my child feels at home. My daughter absolutely loves to go there. The staff is super friendly and they take good care of the children. The care, love and support they give to the children is fantastic.

What an amazing nursery. My son started in September and he honestly loves it so much. The pre-school room is great with free access outdoors constantly. The staff are amazing, so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.

Pennypot Day Nursery is the most fantastic nursery and if I could have kept my daughter there for school I would have! She started at 12 months old so has experienced every room in the nursery and has honestly had the best time in each one! The staff are all so attentive, genuinely care, and provide
endless fun and activities to stimulate the children and encourage their learning and development. I have never felt concerned that my daughters needs weren't being anything less than 100% met. Everyone is very friendly, and there is a lovely atmosphere throughout the setting. The facilities are brilliant with a very cool playground for the over 2's, tonnes of toys and equipment for the children to use and everything is clean and looked after. The food menu is varied and healthy - sometimes a bit eclectic but it's good to try new things! Highly, highly recommend!

Our daughter spent 2 great years at Pennypot Day Nursery, I would highly recommend it to anyone. The facilities are great with new toys and activities being added all the time to keep the learning experience fresh. Staff members are friendly and supportive, providing guided learning to prepare the little
ones for school.
The team also do a huge amount of work for charity, a community-focused company giving back to those around.

Pennypot has been absolutely brilliant with my little one. He’s not found it easy with starting, stopping and then starting again due to Covid but all the staff have been fab with him.


They’ve gone above and beyond to encourage him to settle quickly and he really enjoy his time there.


They’ve

also been great with me, even calling me straight away (before I’ve even left the car park), or sending staff out to the car park quick enough to tell me that he’s already stopped crying and is now happily playing.


I was worried that he wouldn’t sleep well in the room as he’s not the best sleeper but he’s had no problems settling there and they’ve also been great with his food allergies and intolerances. I’ve not felt that he’s missed out in that respect. He can be fussy too but I know that he’ll always be offered extra snacks, or seconds of what he does like so he doesn’t go hungry!


I would definitely recommend Pennypot to anyone looking for 5* childcare around the Chobham area.

Like all new parents I was very nervous about going back to work and leaving our little one at nursery, not least because she had met so few people during her first year due to Covid. We visited a number of nurseries before choosing Pennypot but we knew as soon as we had our first show round that this
was the right nursery for us. The engagement from the team always feels genuine and personal and after 6 months of attending Pennypot our little one absolutely adores the girls who look after her in Caterpillars. The facilities at the nursery are fantastic and we get regular updates (including pics) of what she is getting up to, usually beaming ear to ear! The activities they take part in are both fun and educational and we can really see that our daughter has come on leaps and bounds since she joined. It is so reassuring knowing she is so well cared for and that she really enjoys her days at Pennypot. We are thrilled with our choice and are so grateful to the team!

Very pleased with Pennypot Day Nursery (Chobham), especially the care and relationship my daughter has built with her key person. Activities and the outside area are brilliant. I do miss the level of detail given over Parent Zone (particularly food) as it can be tricky to have such a detailed handover
on pick up, especially trying to restrict my daughter from running around the garden area but otherwise very pleased and satisfied with Pennypot Day Nursery (Chobham).

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2001

Carol is Manager of the award-winning Pennypot Day Nursery in Chobham and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the Early Years sector for 23 years. Carol has numerous qualifications, including a BA(Hons) Degree in Childcare & Education and Early Years Professional Status. In May 2022, Carol celebrates her 21st anniversary at Childbase Partnership.


What is your favourite feature of Pennypot?
I have many especially the large outdoor environment and fantastic rural location, as well as my amazing team.


What are you most proud of about your team?
Their passion and determination to constantly strive to improve outcomes for our children. We also have many long-serving staff members which is amazing.
