Knowle Green Day Nursery is a purpose built, spacious day nursery of the highest quality, with four main play areas and additional sleeping areas. The nursery has a warm, caring and friendly atmosphere, with a team of qualified and experienced practitioners providing a happy sociable environment where all children are treated as individuals. They have also obtained their Eco-schools Green Flag.

All age groups have access to individual enclosed garden areas which offer a wide range of activities and learning opportunities to help to promote children's social, emotional and physical development. There is also a large woodland area which all children are able to use for natural play.

Open from 7.00 to 6.30 and with a fully inclusive package, Knowle Green offers a comprehensive and convenient service to parents.

It has been a great experience for our little one in the nursery. Nursery has definitely aided in his overall development including communication and confidence. Our kid has enjoyed his experience all the way from ladybird to butterflies

The staff in bumblebees are fabulous! My son loves going to nursery every morning. He's ready for the day with such enthusiasm. He eats well and is tired when he gets home. Plays really nicely with his friends.
Education wise - He knows all the nursery rhymes, colours and numbers. We believe he is
excelling since being at Knowle Green.
If he's happy, we are happy. We also had an incident at nursery, the management were fantastic even taking him in the ambulance to hospital. Forever grateful for the care you gave him, and the support you gave us!

My daughter has been at Knowle Green since she was 18 months old and we have always been very happy with the standard of care, compassion, kindness and professionalism. As a parent, you need to know your child is safe and happy and well cared for and Knowle Green provides that on every way.
Particularly
in pre-school, our daughter's learning capabilities have been encouraged. She loves to learn and is supported every step of the way. She adores her key workers (who have changed occasionally due to the needs and capabilities of the team) and always are people that can and do have a great rapport with our girl.
Thank you to all the staff for helping to give my daughter a great start to her early years development.

Really happy we chose to send our child to Knowle Green Day Nursery! The staff are super friendly, the nursery is lovely and filled with lots of indoor and outdoor activities to fulfil the little ones days! Our daughter enjoys her time there very much and has developed immensely since she has been attending
the nursery! We especially enjoy the updates on the app to see her progress and to be able to see pictures of how she spent her day makes us feel happy and relaxed! We would definitely recommend this nursery to other parents!

My two year old has been coming to the nursery (Knowle Green) for over a year now. They have transitioned across multiple rooms and we have had the opportunity to meet many members of the team. My child has always been incredibly happy at the nursery and loves coming in every day. They are very comfortable
with the staff and interact with everyone and are very at ease. I feel very comfortable that they are well cared for and have 100% trust in the staff.
As a family, we love everything about the nursery, the team, the level of service, the space provided for the children (the outside space is the biggest I have seen for a nursery), the variety of meals provided. Thrilled we chose this nursery as couldn't be happier.

My one year old son recently started at Knowle Green Day Nursery (Staines) and I couldn’t be happier with our choice! Due to Covid-19 my son hadn’t been left alone for a period of time without me and I was so nervous about him starting nursery due to this. The staff were so reassuring and upbeat in
regards to this. The nursery staff also take a real interest in my son’s development and encourage him to play his favourite activities and games, which is all logged via an app. Their description of activities and monitoring of my child’s development is heartwarming and so lovely to read, it really does show their interest in each child. The app also keeps me regularly updated on my son’s day from what he has eaten to his nappy changes. My son also eats a good variety of healthy meals whilst there. I genuinely do recommend sending your child to this nursery. I’m so pleased I did.

We have two girls at the nursery and a son who left last year. The staff are like our extended family, going above and beyond to help us out with both me and my wife full time working. The children bounce in and love it, everything about the set up from the space, the food, staff and especially the

We've had 3 children in this nursery with 2 still there and we love everything about it, from the staff who have become extended family to us going above and beyond to help us, the facilities which are by far the best in the area, the outdoor space is amazing. Our children couldn't be happier there
and have become a confident social little human
beings because of the care and attention they've had there.

The staff at Knowle Green have been amazing throughout this time. Being a keyworker, it put my mind at rest knowing my son was safe and being cared for like he would at home. It's the little things like cuddles. I know he had a great time as he couldn't wait to tell me what he had been doing and who

My son is in Preschool and we have really been impressed with the nursery, its setting and the staff. All the rooms in the nursery are fantastic, the Preschool room is like a mini-school in preparation for them moving on to big school. The facilities such as the interactive whiteboard, story area, construction
zone and many more are arranged really well. My son has really enjoyed his time in preschool I have seen him develop in preparation for his move to school.  They also have other extracurricular activities - visiting the London Aquarium & theatre trips which are safely planned and well organised. The current situation of the lockdown has been very well handled by Knowle Green & Childbase. I have been really impressed with the recent return to nursery which went smoothly, the team have been great at answering any concerns we have had and also been keeping us informed of developments. The new changes they have implemented are working well and are being adhered to by all. Thank you.

Both our children have attended this nursery. We love it. Our older daughter has developed really well here both socially and with reading/writing etc. Every other week they have a science company come in to do experiments which my daughter talks about for a week after and so many internal tasks and
games. It’s a big nursery but the way it is set out allows small groups and bigger ones to enjoy different games and development tasks. The wall screen in preschool is fantastic for the kids to learn whilst playing. The garden is brilliant, so many different toys to play on, growing things, learning about the three ducks they have. They have taken the preschool kids out to the aquarium in London and to a pantomime in Richmond which was great. Occasionally you don’t get as many updates as you’d like but that’s the only minor complaint I have. They have managed the recent coronavirus really well and new processes are working well already.

Our daughter has been at Knowle Green since she was a year old and is now in the preschool room. She's had a wonderful time at nursery - learning so many new skills with the dedicated staff. It has been a huge help to our family, allowing us to work and know that she is very well looked after. She has
been happy and thrived at nursery from the very beginning - quickly settling in, enjoying playing with other children. Her abilities have come on leaps and bounds, and she's had the chance to experience so much, (a lot of which it would never have occurred to me to do with her). She also loves the food!

The staff at Knowle Green, especially the Ladybirds carers, have gone above and beyond to ensure my daughter’s return to the nursery after the Covid-19 lockdown was smooth, safe and stress-free - not only for her but for us as parents. Even after tearful drop-offs that are inevitably part of this painful
transition, I still feel reassured of their skills and commitment, seeing how my daughter’s needs are immediately identified and addressed. If she needs comfort, she receives it. If she needs distraction, she gets it. If she needs attention, it’s there. I am happy my daughter has so much fun over there, where she engages in fun activities, especially messy play, continues to develop and enjoys the company of her carers as well as other children in her safe bubble. It makes my work and day easier knowing she’s safe and looked after. So, thank you.

I have had one child go through the nursery from ten months old. The nursery has always been great with him and he enjoyed his time there and the preschool team are especially good at getting the children ready for the transition to school. My youngest is currently in the nursery and has been since
he was ten months old also. He thrives day to day and has the best keyworkers who communicate with me well and encourage his development. He is looking forward to going back soon.

My daughter has attended Knowle Green nursery for over a year now and absolutely loves it. She is thriving there and has made special relationships with her key workers, other staff and her friends. The variety of activities she pursues there, never have her bored, and she is always excited to bring

My Daughter has been a going to Knowle Green Nursery for two years starting at the age of one. From caterpillars to ladybirds and bumblebees, we have always seen that our child was able to build a strong connection with the caretakers and other children in the room. We were surprised at every stage,
how she was picking up new things from the nursery and most importantly learning to be independent. I have seen my daughter grow when it comes to dealing with situations, disagreements and learning to express herself.
I can confidently say that it would have been much harder without the support and environment provided by Nursery.

My daughter started in Ladybirds at Knowle Green last year and we couldn’t be happier with the nursery and the support they have given her. She has grown in confidence and both her speech and motor skills have come on fantastically. The staff are amazing, and all go out of their way to help and support

My son started in the baby room and has since moved to the next room up. He loves attending nursery and we know he is in safe hands.
They keep us updated through an app, and are always welcoming when you call during the day.
My son loves the food and with credit to the Chef, she has catered for a
gluten-free diet, going above and beyond to make sure he is still fed delicious substitutes without him feeling he is going without.
I cannot fault the nursery during lockdown and what must have been such a difficult time for them. They have kept us up to date with their communications throughout, and have instilled confidence that they are trying to make it as safe as possible for the children's return.

Chanelle Weaver

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2022

Chanelle is the Manager of the award-winning Knowle Green Day Nursery in Staines and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the Early Years sector for over 20 years.


She has a Foundation degree in Early Childhood Studies, she also had training for the emotional well-being practitioner, behaviour management and SENDco.


Chanelle has recently started working at Childbase Partnership.


What is your favourite feature of Knowle Green?
The nursery has large outdoor environments individual to each room and a large woodland area to extend the outdoor learning following the woodland play programme.


What are you most proud of about your nursery?
The long-standing members of staff, with some working here for over 20 years are amazing.
