Knowle Green Day Nursery is a purpose built, spacious day nursery of the highest quality, with four main play areas and additional sleeping areas. The nursery has a warm, caring and friendly atmosphere, with a team of qualified and experienced practitioners providing a happy sociable environment where all children are treated as individuals. They have also obtained their Eco-schools Green Flag.

All age groups have access to individual enclosed garden areas which offer a wide range of activities and learning opportunities to help to promote children's social, emotional and physical development. There is also a large woodland area which all children are able to use for natural play.

Open from 7.00 to 6.30 and with a fully inclusive package, Knowle Green offers a comprehensive and convenient service to parents.

After six years at Knowle Green, and over two children, we have just had our last day.
We chose this nursery mainly down to convenience, but I can honestly say, this was the best decision.
We have been very lucky to be a part of this wonderfully caring family. Both my children have loved going and
have learnt so much in their time at nursery.
They have both made wonderful friendships, and we will all miss going to nursery.

Both my son and my daughter went to Knowle Green Day Nursery since they were very young (1yo and 9mo). I immediately saw the difference in them, in both skills learned (eating by themselves very quickly with a fork and spoon), the ability to make friends quickly and learning the basics to prepare them
for school. My son's entire Preschool class is now in his school class, the friendships started so early and are still going strong! My daughter was very shy and had difficulty making friends, that all changed thanks to the amazing staff at the nursery who encouraged her and gave her wings to discover herself. I couldn't be happier with this nursery, each room the kids have been in has developed them in some way, learning and growing as they moved through to Preschool. Now they're both in school or starting school and they have all the tools they need to succeed! I cannot recommend them enough!

Knowle Green Nursery is absolutely fantastic and made so by an incredible team. Our daughter is excited every morning we take her there, she loves all the staff who work with her and has benefitted both socially and developmentally from having attended since eight months old. The whole team in Ladybirds
are amazing, specifically, certain members of staff, who all put in loads of effort and time with her, which she really responds to. The team always answer questions we have immediately and is accommodating to any requests about her naps or eating. We can't thank them enough for the massive impact they have on our lives as working parents, and most importantly, our daughters!

It's the best nursery in the area.
The onboarding process for new children and parents is great.
It's expensive, but then again, so are all nurseries, so you might as well pay a bit extra and get the best possible place for your child.

Having sent two of my children here I would thoroughly recommend it to other parents. The long opening hours mean there is greater flexibility for drop-off times which is invaluable for days when parents have to commute into London. The staff are always friendly, approachable and willing to answer any
questions and you can tell they genuinely care about the children. They provide a good variety of food and can easily cater for dietary requirements and my children would often finish all or ask for seconds on meals provided - something which isn't a common occurrence at home! Whilst the app isn't perfect and could do with some improvement it provides a good update of what the children are working on, occasional pictures and comments on what they're doing during the day which provides good assurance to parents. There is a good, engaging indoor and outdoor space for children to explore. Thank you Knowle Green for providing an excellent standard of care to my children.

My child progressed so much within the preschool 2 room, especially in his speech and language and also how to express his feelings and emotions in a positive way. This is greatly helped by the staff in particular his key persons.
He absolutely loves coming to nursery and always has since 9 months
old.

My son left Knowle Green in December 2023 due to his siblings being born and returned in March.
Bumblebees have been amazing and supported him with his language and helping him settle into being a big brother.
He has become more independent with changing his clothes and leaps and bounds with eating
as he was very fussy.

We have had a great experience with Knowle Green since our son started and highly recommend it to anyone in the process of looking at nurseries.
We knew it was the right one when looking in the local area. It's a homely feeling as soon as you enter the building. Always welcomed by friendly faces. The
early start/late pickup times are very convenient.
Our son has developed a close bond with his key worker. All the staff are very encouraging, caring and compassionate and have created a nurturing environment.
We receive regular updates via the app, along with photos/learning logs.
I have been particularly impressed with how the nursery supports children with any additional needs. His key worker/managers actively listened to concerns and have gone above and beyond to offer appropriate support/reviews.
Thank you to all at Knowle Green for fostering growth and development.
We look forward to seeing all the lovely things that he will continue to learn and do here in the future.

We are absolutely thrilled with Knowle Green Day Nursery in Staines! The staff are professional, kind, always welcome you with a smile and offer support when needed. Our daughter flourishes at the nursery. The days are filled with so many thoughtful, sensory educational activities that supports and
encourages development. Our daugther is currently at Ladybirds and the room leader and her team have been absolute stars. Made our rather stressful settling in journey a pleasure and never stopped offering fantastic care since. As a parent, knowing that you are handing your child to someone that truly cares and looks after your child as their own is priceless. Daily updates on the app are a great feature and always leaves a big smile on our faces to see how their day has been. All the special events, weekly newsletters, monthly story reports, and daily drop off/pick ups chats are making parents feel part of the nursery experience. Without any doubt - a top-notch nursery!

Definitely, I can confirm that I am so happy that both my kids joined this nursery. They like this place, the staff are nice and proactive, focus on the kids' needs.
I see each day improvements in the development of my children so as a parent I am happy when I see that, and when I know that my kids

Knowle Green Nursery in Staines is absolutely fantastic. I could not recommend it enough. The staff are excellent and operate to extremely high standards in all respects, from cleanliness to nutrition to early learning. They also have an in-depth knowledge of children and their development in that age
group. The effort that goes into sensory play, reading, baking and everything else with the children is top-class. Our daughter was in the bumblebees room and knowing that you are handing your child to staff who love them and care for them like they are their own, takes away any anxiety you have as a parent. I loved the weekly newsletters to catch up with everything and the plan for the following week. The masterclasses provided for the parents were a welcomed addition. Our minds were always at ease knowing she was in such good care. It was very hard to say goodbye!

So, today is the end of an era! It’s my youngest daughter's last day at Knowle Green Day Nursery. My eldest started back in 2016 and even when she left I knew we’d be back and in 2021 we were! In the middle of a global pandemic the ladies at Knowle Green made my return to work easier, as I knew my daughter
would be loved and well cared for. It was so reassuring to see so many faces we knew from our eldest’s time at Knowle Green. I can not thank all the staff enough for all the love and care they have shown our girls over the years. There were tears at drop off this morning from me and had I been doing pick up I know there would have been more! So thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for everything you have all done. You all played a massive part in our girls' lives and we will always remember you and be grateful for the amazing people you all are.

I have had both my children at Knowle Green since fifteen months old and they have loved going. They have learnt so much and made amazing friends. The staff are amazing and really engage with the children. The food is amazing and always prepared fresh onsite, so they get to try lots of different things.
I’m so happy we chose Knowle Green for our children and will be sad to say 'bye' to the team as they move on to school. Thank you for being a big part of our kids' early years and for making sure they leave with so many happy memories.

Our two grandsons have both been at this nursery and the care shown both to the boys and ourselves has been excellent. They are so caring and definitely go the extra mile. If I have any issues it would be the continuous change of staff which we find unsettling, too much change.

My son attends Knowle Green Day Nursery in Staines, but sadly he will be moving to Primary school this September. He has been attending since he was for 1 year old and the staff are welcoming, approachable, kind, friendly and caring. He has made great progress in his learning and the staff have been
very supportive in his development. We receive regular feedback about how he has been doing. Staff have supported him in settling in, and he enjoys and loves it there as it is a fun and safe environment. He has made wonderful friendships and I am grateful, thankful and appreciative of all the staff for their hard work. Thanks Knowle Green - You have been amazing!

Chanelle Weaver

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2022

Chanelle is the Manager of the award-winning Knowle Green Day Nursery in Staines and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the Early Years sector for over 20 years.


She has a Foundation degree in Early Childhood Studies, she also had training for the emotional well-being practitioner, behaviour management and SENDco.


Chanelle has recently started working at Childbase Partnership.


What is your favourite feature of Knowle Green?
The nursery has large outdoor environments individual to each room and a large woodland area to extend the outdoor learning following the woodland play programme.


What are you most proud of about your nursery?
The long-standing members of staff, with some working here for over 20 years are amazing.
