A supportive and caring nursery in Haslemere

Haslemere Day Nursery and Preschool is set in a lovely Victorian building in an idyllic location a few minutes' walk from Haslemere town and 10 minutes' walk from Haslemere rail station, with direct trains to London and Guildford and good links to Liphook. The nursery supports children’s development from the age of three months to 5 years.

The well qualified, long standing team of highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced staff work together to provide a well-balanced programme of fun activities and learning experiences, within a carefully planned curriculum with Bright Horizons unique Ready for School programme. Fostering an enjoyment of early literacy and maths, with the nursery's Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians Enhancement, helping children to recognise letters, words and numbers in their environment.
The nursery boasts an amazing school readiness room, attached to their Preschool, promoting Bright Horizons learning enhancement programmes.

In addition, the nursery offer home learning bags and a lending library to allow the parents the opportunity to extend their child's learning at home. The nursery and preschool rooms have free-flow access to the stunning adventure garden throughout the day.

With all-inclusive fees, which means you have less to pack on a busy morning, onsite meals are prepared with nutrition in mind. From healthy lunches and snacks to your chosen branded nappies and wipes included in the fees.

The nursery has been awarded an Ofsted rating of ‘Good’ (OCT2016) for their commitment to high quality childcare and education.

The staff at the nursery are amazing, everyone I’ve met is so lovely and kind and the kids adore them. The nursery is well organised and the team come up with activities and events all the time and really make an effort. On first impressions, the nursery doesn’t look as smart as others in the area and
the facilities are tired but it’s due to have a refurb which will make a huge difference to the general feel of the nursery. Very happy with our experience so far.

My son has been at the nursery for 2 months and seems to be loving it. The carers give us regular updates through the app and the environment that the kids get to play in is safe, clean, and they look like they are having a great time! Really positive experience for a first-time, working parent.

Excellent nursery with very friendly staff who are able to build a quick rapport with the kids. Lots of different types of activities help the little ones learn so fast. We have our son with Bright Horizons, Haslemere for 2 years now. The team are really bubbly and kind.
I've been impressed with the interaction and updates on my son's day when arriving at nursery. There have been lots of new interesting activities for the children. We have been pleased to see the
variety of options and energy that has gone into planning the children's days.
Our son also has dietary requirements and the nursery are excellent at accommodating this.
Keep up the great work. Would definitely recommend the nursery!

We moved to Haslemere 2 years ago and both our boys were new to the area. The team at Bright Horizons helped them settle from day 1. Our older boy is now at school and he still keeps saying that he misses the food there. He is not a big eater but I don't think there was a meal he refused while at nursery.
Our younger boy is still at nursery, and he was a bit shy and quiet when he joined. The team have been amazing at making sure he is included and we have all noticed how he has become a lot more chatty recently. He is loving all the indoor and outdoor activities they do although his favourite thing has been helping grow their own vegetables in the garden.

I've never had any issues with the nursery and the staff are all lovely and friendly. My daughter, who is due to start school this year, has loved being at the nursery and they have helped her to develop immensely so that she is ready for her next chapter in September!

Four months in and our experience with Bright Horizons, Haslemere has been hugely positive. They have helped our daughter to settle in quickly and she is always very happily involved in some kind of play when we come to collect her. I think probably the most positive aspect for us is the team - they
are extremely friendly and relaxed (in a good way), which gives the feeling of a nurturing and safe environment. Equally, even though she is in the youngest age group, they seem to do lots of interesting activities each day. A big thank you to the manager and deputy manager and team. Would highly recommend.

Our child is now 3.5 years old and has been at Bright Horizons, Hazelmere for over two years. He started off part-time and is now full-time. He loves going to nursery and says that everyone there is his friend. We are very happy with the balance between learning and play and comfortable leaving him
at nursery each day. Looking forward to big school next year, where we are confident he will settle in well, thanks to all the time he has spent at Bright Horizons.

My almost 2-year-old daughter has been going to Haslemere, Bright Horizons, since she was 8 months old. She settled in really quickly and thoroughly enjoys her time there. She has a wonderful bond with the staff in her room and is always happy to go in. They do a variety of activities and have a fabulous,
large outdoor space. There is a really good app that they share details about her day to, which you can look at, when she's there. You can check what she's eaten, when she's slept, what activities she's been doing and they often upload photos of her having fun. I'm really pleased we choose to send her to Bright Horizons in Haslemere.

Care is always given to educate the children. I have noticed that my child's communication skills and understanding of words have improved, such as please and thank you, yes and no and "juice", for when he wants a drink. Most of these words and the sign language that goes with them have been learnt,
whilst at nursery.

This nursery is the one! I was so nervous for my daughter starting nursery, however as soon as you open the door, you get presented with the biggest smiles from all the staff members. The staff take such great care and are so gentle. My daughter goes in with a smile and returns the same.

I can't recommend this nursery enough! We were very nervous when selecting and the various ones in Haslemere all have different vibes, but we had a strong gut feeling about the staff here and it turned out amazing. They are all incredibly kind and over the years know our (now) 4 and 2 year old so well.
It's the small things, but they genuinely seem to care and look after them so well. Huge thanks to the deputy manager and 5 other members of staff in particular. You are real carers and extended parents to our two boys and they love going to the nursery so much. It's been very hard during the pandemic and the team have done everything to keep the circus going with a smile and all heart. It's made all the difference. I recommend this nursery to everyone we speak to!

We feel very fortunate for what we have found at Bright Horizons, Haslemere. We found the caregivers to be trustworthy and supportive. The venue is very spacious with a nice outside play area, which our busy boy would have struggled without!

My son has really come out of his shell the last couple of months and the staff are always helpful and willing to accommodate his extra potty needs. Also, the graduation ceremony was wonderful to attend and see the progress of everyone!

I have worked in Early Years since leaving college in 2005, I hold a Diploma in Childcare and Education and I started working at Haslemere Nursery in 2007. I have worked my way through various roles such as Nursery Nurse, Room Leader, Third in Charge, and Deputy Manager to my current position as Nursery Manager.


I am extremely passionate about the nursery and the children, I am committed to providing quality childcare to all children who attend the setting. I am immensely proud of my amazing team here at Haslemere Pre-School & Day Nursery who work incredibly hard to provide a wonderfully safe and stimulating environment for the children.


My beliefs and values within my role are to treat all children and families as individuals, and really understand how I can support your child to thrive in our setting.
