Your Co-op Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-school Madley Park has a modern nursery which is spacious and bright and has 5 rooms (one for each age group).

The nursery is big on happy children, they have a growing area for food (and eating it) and have regular visits to local care homes. They are also big on safety which is why ALL their staff are paediatric first aid trained.

They have 5 Little Pioneers who help share their core values with children such as encouraging them to be independent to making a difference in the world. Their ParentZone app keeps parents/carers informed about life at nursery with photos from their day, assessments, meals eaten and even toilet training progress!

They hold the silver award in the prestigious Green Flag Eco-schools programme which sees children lead the way in making little changes that have big environmental differences.

The nursery has its own garden area that allows the children to play outside all year round. One section of the garden has been designed as a beach, giving the children the freedom to explore and experiment with texture and volume.

Having looked at a number of nurseries in the local area, this one was by far the best.
The rooms are full of colour and age-appropriate toys to enhance development. Each day I drop my son off there are different activities set up.
The staff have all been extremely professional and available. My
son's keyworker was amazing, really supportive and listened to my wishes. It was a difficult time for me personally leaving my baby at first but the staff made the transition very smooth for me. The staff are all very caring and gentle (I only have experience with the baby rooms).


My son loves it there. When I drop him off in the morning the other children all seem to be very settled and happy too. The set up is organised and nursery appears to be very clean.


My son is half Portuguese and to accommodate his needs the staff wrote Portuguese words for him and put them in the room to label objects. This was a very individualised approach and much appreciated.


I recommend the nursery.

My daughter has been at the nursery since she was 9 months old and has progressed through each room. All the staff are polite and helpful and take excellent care of my daughter. The new app is a great way of seeing how she is getting on and what she’s eaten etc and the observations of her progress are
fantastic to see pop up on my phone. I love seeing the photos of her playing and learning with her friends.

I am extremely satisfied with this nursery, my son has always been extremely happy here since he started at ten months old, the practitioners here are loving, caring and go out of their way to ensure my son's needs are met. He has made lots of friends and talks so fondly about the staff who look after
him. I couldn't have picked a better nursery for my son to attend, and couldn't recommend it enough to others.

I have two children in the nursery and have always been happy with the level of care my children receive, the openness and flexibility of the nursery. In particular, the staff are amazing, approachable and helpful. The early years learning is great and there is an opportunity for feedback and parent

The staff are friendly, approachable and understanding. They have a fantastic knowledge of the children in their care and are always able to provide advice to parents when needed.
My children enjoy attending this nursery and have built up great relationships with the staff and peers alike. They are

We are very pleased with the care our son receives here. He is learning so much and the staff is extremely caring and knows him, his needs and quirks in and out. When he is on a break and we walk by the nursery, he tries to pull us towards the door and wants to go in to play. He also loves the food
and eats even more than at home.


It is quite expensive, but you can see with all the material they use for learning and playing as well as the activities where the money goes. We definitely recommend this nursery.

I have had bad experiences with the management, being requested to hang around in the morning because staff are running late - not great when it means you're late for work/have a train to catch. At times the invoices are incorrect so need observing/checking and administrator is not in every day.


The

staff who care for the children are excellent, I couldn't wish for a happier child and the development had been outstanding since starting here. Overall, I would recommend this nursery. Minor complaints but most of the time I couldn't wish for more for my child.

Always received a good service. My children enjoy attending, only problem is having to pay for bank holiday though the nursery is closed when both children attend Monday is very expensive.

I took my child out in December 2016 for a number of reasons including cleanliness and care of my child and lots of staff changes including agency staff. My child was allowed at 2 to go to dirty toilets on her own and often came home with soiled knickers and when I told a member of staff they didn't
care.

Our daughter has always been very happy here. The children get plenty of opportunities for outdoor play in almost all weathers, which I think is important. The staff are very friendly and caring, and were happy to accommodate my wishes for my daughter to use our own cloth nappies and to eat fruit rather
than the occasional puddings the children are given (the food appears to be very good!). My only slight issue has been some confusion in communication with management.

My daughter is in ladybird room and really enjoys it. She only started in Jan 2017, but the staff are lovely and have helped her settle in well. They do a good range of activities during the day and my daughter always comes home exhausted, so I know she's had fun!

My little girl had a negative experience at a previous nursery and was really upset and distressed about going to nursery at all. I made the decision to move her to the Co-op nursery as my niece attends a different one, but has had such a great experience there.
After my daughter started it took a
little while for her to enjoy attending but with such a great support network and a reassuring team of assistants and staff she absolutely loves it now which I didn't think was possible. I am incredibly impressed with the communication and professionalism and with how helpful everyone is. Thank you very much.

I can not fault the Co-operative nursery at Madley Park.
My child loves attending (part time), her confidence has soared, she is growing and developing in all areas, which I believe the staff at the nursery have had a direct impact upon.
They provide meals that are well thought out and balanced.
There
is regular and open contact from the managers, as well as the staff working directly with the children being friendly and approachable.

Managed brilliantly. Staff help children feel safe and cared for (settle in well and quickly). Offer great support and advice. Children are happy and stimulated. The chef ensures food is balanced and nutritional with cooking sessions every other week.
