The nursery is big on happy children, they have a growing area for food (and eating it) and have regular visits to local care homes. They are also big on safety which is why ALL their staff are paediatric first aid trained.
They have 5 Little Pioneers who help share their core values with children such as encouraging them to be independent to making a difference in the world. Their ParentZone app keeps parents/carers informed about life at nursery with photos from their day, assessments, meals eaten and even toilet training progress!
They hold the silver award in the prestigious Green Flag Eco-schools programme which sees children lead the way in making little changes that have big environmental differences.
The nursery has its own garden area that allows the children to play outside all year round. One section of the garden has been designed as a beach, giving the children the freedom to explore and experiment with texture and volume.

About this price
How funding is applied, how the monthly figure is calculated.More info
- Working parents of children aged 9 months to 2 years can usually claim up to 30 funded hours a week. The working-parent hours depend on each parent meeting the minimum earnings rules and earning under £100,000 a year. This nursery stretches funded hours across 52 weeks of the year. You've selected 30 funded hours.
- This nursery applies up to 10 funded hours per day, stretched across 52 weeks of the year. With your selected funding, 21.9 hours are covered each week. Hours beyond this, including the early and late parts of the day, are charged at the standard rate.
- We work out the total cost across the year and divide by 12, so the figure shown is a smoothed monthly average. In practice, nurseries bill in different ways. Some bill monthly at this average. Others bill weekly, or charge for what happened that week or month, which can vary across the year. Confirm billing details with the nursery when you enquire.

Lovely nursery and staff. They’ve looked after our elder son since he was one year old. He’s had a fantastic time and is well prepared to start reception in September. We are looking forward to our younger starting. No hesitations about recommending the nursery - they’ve got fantastic staff, they care and they have been particularly brilliant during the pandemic keeping everyone safe and providing our son with a sense of normality and escape from the house!

The team took time to get to know him and his family and have welcomed him into his new room. It was seamless and he loves it. So many activities every day and fantastic opportunities that he wouldn't have at home. The meal plans are delicious. Highly recommend the nursery having experienced 3 of the rooms and teams so far.

The changes in his development are remarkable and most importantly he is happy and loves spending time there.
The staff have gone above and beyond during the Covid19 era and most importantly they truly listen to my concerns and care for my child.
The nursery has been fantastic for our son since he was nearly 1, the activities the staff set up are really imaginative, they get plenty of fresh air and healthy food - the staff are caring and always willing to help!

I cannot rate Co-op Childcare Madley Park nursery enough. As a first time parent, I was very nervous putting my child into nursery. But I shouldn't have been! Co-op Childcare Madley Park nursery have done amazingly with my child. They did so well with getting him used to the nursery and he has built such a good bond with many of the nursery staff. There is a huge smile on his face every time he sees one of the staff members. They're very friendly, know what they're doing and so kind and caring towards the little ones. The meals served to the children is also very good, and very nutritious. Overall, I would 100% recommend. I have no complaints at all about the nursery and I know my child is happy and safe being there.

All the staff have been amazing and have done a brilliant job of welcoming the children back after lockdown. After a few days of tears, my little one is loving being back at nursery, playing with his friends. There are lots of books, toys and activities. A really lovely, friendly nursery.

My daughter has attended this nursery since 2017 when she was only 10 months old. All of the staff have been wonderful in each of the rooms she has moved through as she has grown up. From the cuddles and care, they give to a teething baby, helping with potty training, right up to preparing her for school the staff at the nursery have done a great job. My daughter has always been treated as an individual and her personality, preferences and learning style have always been considered. As a key worker, the nursery was there for us in lockdown not only keeping my daughter safe but thinking of her wellbeing. I cannot fault how they have adapted things to make it Covid-19 safe. My daughter will miss the nursery when she goes to school and I will miss the staff at the nursery who have worked so hard looking after her and helping her grow over the last 3 years. I would 100% recommend this nursery.

We've been really happy with this nursery. Our daughter has been going for a year, now aged nearly two. The staff are really excellent and caring and our daughter has flourished since attending. The induction and transitions have been professionally handed and the nursery is extremely well managed. They have good facilities with a nice outdoor space. A particular highlight is the quality of the food prepared daily on-site. There are lots of little touches - including making gifts for parents - which are deeply appreciated. But really what makes it is the quality of the staff. We couldn't be happier with them. The app with frequent daily updates and photos for parents is brilliant. They have coped so professionally during Covid-19.
My sons have both attended Madley Park Nursery and we have been very happy with their experience. Activities are varied and imaginative and the nurturing staff have provided a really warm environment for them to grow in confidence.

All staff have first aid training, which saved my son’s life when he choked on a raisin. Staff also upskill regularly. Staff are very friendly, really care about learning about the children as individuals. After the lockdown, it was hard for my son to settle but they worked really hard to interest him and to use his favourite stories and activities to encourage him. The educational plan is also good, even for young kids.

My son has attended since he was 1 starting in Ladybirds and progressing through all rooms to pre-school where he will be until he heads off to school in September. It was a big decision putting him in nursery full time and despite early nerves (naturally), I can genuinely say that being at Madley Park Nursery has been a really positive experience and of huge benefit to him socially and developmentally. Staff put a huge amount of effort into the children and show genuine care, compassion and interest towards each individual child. I am not at all worried about the transition to primary school because pre-school is preparing him so well - he has made so many friends who live locally and some will no doubt be in the same class as him at primary school which is wonderful. If I have had any concerns in the past the management and room staff are very open to listen and will bend over backwards to address the issue promptly and with a positive, open mind. I can't recommend the nursery highly enough.
My child had a lovely day making valentines biscuits. He has an egg allergy and the staff changed the biscuit recipe so he could get involved with the baking and tasting. Thank you for yet again going the extra mile.

I have always been thoroughly impressed by all the staff. The kids have loved going which ultimately is my main aim.
They eat healthy meals and are offered imaginative activities to develop their varying learning needs.
Both my twins had a speech delay and have been under the Senco. We have had monthly reviews to set goals to meet these additional needs.
I love getting updates on the parent app as to what they have eaten, slept, etc. and we get very thorough assessments with photos to identify areas of strength and areas for development.
They have a wonderful link with the local care home and also arrange interesting projects and activities.
The staff have the patience of saints and all really positive and approachable.
I couldn't rate this nursery higher and will miss it when they start school later this year.
The staff are amazing and are always so friendly and polite. I could not recommend this nursery more!

My daughter loves going to nursery. She has attended for nearly 4 years and she has learnt so much from her time there. The staff are very friendly and always so happy, they make such an effort with the children and plan such lovely activities each day. The food is great with a very varied menu....
I fully trust the staff to look after my daughter and she is very happy there which makes me happy too.

My children started here recently and due to the warm staff, they both settled in well. I love the opportunities that the preschoolers have to learn key skills through the regular use of phonics and numeracy. The staff are caring and want the best for the children. The communication between the management and parents is excellent. Mums and dads are made aware of all nursery news and updates plus Madley Park Coop Childcare is very progressive and forward-looking. The only downs side is that they don’t offer a term-time only contract, so for me, this works out quite expensive, but despite knowing this, I still decided that this is the best place for my children and so it has proved.
