At Co-op Childcare Carterton, they have a diverse team of nursery practitioners who bring lots of experience and plan creative activities each day.

They make it a priority to keep parents informed with up to the minute information, and host regular parent panels, so parents can have a say in how they run their nursery. For this, they have a ParentZone app which keeps you informed about what your child has been up to all day including observations, assessments, meals, and even toilet training progress!

All staff are pediatric first-aid trained. They know that little things can make a big difference, so they make sure to give children lots of hands-on experiences. There are areas for growing food (and eating it). Children make regular visits to local care homes and focus on doing their bit for the environment.

Each child will learn all about the environment and their local community through a global eco-schools programme which will make them become a real environmental champion!

Co-op is a wonderful nursery! The staff are all so caring and go above and beyond. My daughter is 12 months this week and loves her key workers and always seems to have had such a lovely day. They paint, sing, read, play. I attribute so much to the beautiful and dedicated care they give to my daughter.
I love the app used to give me updates on what she ate when she was changed, and how her day was including observations and next steps. As a teacher myself, it’s so informative to receive this. Really pleased with Co-op. It’s a bright, friendly, lovely little nursery! Highly recommend!!

The staff have been very welcoming to my child and us. Following lockdown was a tricky time to introduce him to a nursery setting especially with face masks. However, he settled in really well within a few sessions which I think speaks volumes of the excellent staff who can make the children feel comfortable
and happy in a new setting despite these strange times. They are always cheerful and friendly and he seems happy to see them.

My son has been at the nursery for 18 months and he loves it. The staff are friendly and he always talks about what they have been doing together. I would recommend this nursery to anyone who is posted to Brize Norton as it's close by. Also, it offers good timings meaning there is no need to rush to
pick them up by 17.30.

We are very happy with Carterton Co-operative nursery. Our son loves going each week. The preschool team are super. There's a great happy feeling whenever we drop him off. He's learning more than we could ever teach at home. Highly recommended.

A practical nursery but not really our cup of tea. Daughter attending until she is old enough to start at a preschool. Most of the staff are friendly but I do not feel that they know the children that well (sweeping generalisation but true of too many) and info passage doesn’t seem great.


On

the positives, they do engage with the children and get outside as much as possible.


Outdoor space is very limited.

Generally, I’m happy with the nursery I just feel it needs a boost. The staff turnover is absolutely ridiculous and the management needs to be more stable it’s changed so many times.
Afternoon sessions are very poor value for money. An a.m. session includes breakfast, snack and lunch. The afternoon
only includes a small tea, my children are always starving by the time they get home! Sleeping areas within the rooms should be more relaxing to enable children to sleep better and not be disturbed by other children playing or being dropped off and picked up.
Staff seem to work incredibly long hours and always appear so tired by the end of the day and week.

The staff are lovely and supportive of the children. The food is widely varied, and sounded extremely tasty! My child certainly loved it!! Sadly, the price is the only negative side, especially as I had to return to full-time work in order to have my child at nursery for 2 days.

The pre-school room is fantastic! My daughter's speech has come on really well and she's starting to know what shapes and numbers are, so happy with her progress, and the staff are so nice and polite and they update me on my daughter's activity.

My daughter has been in the nursery for a year and a half and really enjoys it. Recent parents’ info evenings have been really valuable. Sessions for grandparents have been lovely for my daughter and her grandparents. My daughter is thriving; her speech is coming on really well and the nursery have
been super supportive through potty training. She has a great bond with her key worker and other staff; they are all extremely caring, friendly and fun!

We love the nursery, our little girl used to go here and we never had any concerns - she excelled here. The staff are friendly and polite, always on hand to help with anything. Now my little boy is here and has come on leaps and bounds, we have been worried about his speech but feel confident that he
is making progress. The staff are always happy to listen to any concerns regarding the children and nothing is ever too much trouble. The rooms are great, very interactive and both our children love to be outside - the garden is great there. I love the parent app and being able to comment on things and hearing about parents evenings/workshops. I also love seeing pictures of what they have been up to all day!

The care and attention that is given to each individual child is fantastic. The staff here are attentive and provide me with a thorough hand over each day to ensure that I am involved in what my daughter has been doing. My little one absolutely loves going to the nursery and the difference in her development
since starting is clear to see. The prices are clear and all inclusive; meaning that I don't have to worry about providing anything - other than a change of clothing. This was a big selling point for me.

Our daughter started nursery at 10 months old and is now in her final preschool year, and our son started earlier this year. The nursery and it’s fantastic team of staff have been great throughout. They provide so many opportunities for learning and play in a very caring environment which I feel have

Carterton Co-Operative nursery, has been brilliant from the very first time we visited. I was very nervous about my little girl starting nursery, but all the staff made it so much easier on me and my daughter. They understand the anxiety around leaving your child and give you both plenty of time and
advice to ease the process.


In the 7 months my daughter has been at the nursery, she has blossomed and made some lovely relationship with her key workers and all the team. It’s lovely to see the wide range of activities they do with the children and how much time they spend outside playing in the big garden.


Other areas that make the nursery fab are things like the weekly roundup emails, which are useful for knowing what’s happening in the coming week. Along with the app, which is regularly updated with my child’s progress, along with pictures. This really helps to reassure me that she’s having a fun time and is happy.


Overall my experience of the nursery has been brilliant.

I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. My eldest daughter went here and loved her time and my youngest daughter has been going since she was 9 months old (she is nearly 3)
The staff work incredibly hard and the girls in butterflies have an amazing bond with my daughter and she loves her time
here. They are extremely caring and I feel very confident dropping her off each day knowing she is happy and is in safe hands.
Communication is excellent - it’s great to receive the updates through the day.

My daughter moved from another nursery and quickly settled into this lovely environment. Her days are filled with lots of play, as well as an appropriate level of learning/education. All the staff seem to care for the children's wellbeing and show an interest in their life outside of nursery too. Communication
is excellent from the management team right down to the day to day information when collecting my daughter. The parent zone app is a great tool especially when I receive pictures of what she is doing whilst I am at work! Most importantly my daughter looks forward to going to nursery.

I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough.


Our son has been attending for the last seven months and we have never encountered any issues. In fact, all the staff have been incredibly helpful and are always happy to chat about how his day has been, what he has been up to and how he is developing.


We

took our son there when he was six months old so that we could go back to work and he absolutely loves it. The staff are brilliant with him, he is kept entertained and is learning new things through a variety of activities on a daily basis.

I have worked for The Co-operative Childcare since 2004, working from a Nursery Practitioner to a Nursery Manager.
I am Level 4 qualified in Childcare.


I have two children who attend our nursery and absolutely love the time they spend here.


Being part of a child's life and watching them grow and develop has to be the most rewarding job in the world.
It is a wonderful feeling knowing a family has chosen our nursery setting to look after their most precious gift.
