My son has been attending this nursery since he was eight months and it has been over two years . He is doing well and enjoying and flourishing well . He is developing in all areas due to hard work of team who takes great care of him and make every day special for him in little pioneer nursery and pre- school in John Radcliff hospital .
Our children feels safe, included and has blossomed in confidence and communication - and we know that's because of the warm, nurturing environment they've created.
For parents who may feel anxious, we can wholeheartedly say that the team has been incredible in taking the time to truly understand our children's needs, celebrate their progress and reassure us every step of the way.
It's a rare gift to find educators who combine such professionalism with such genuine heart. We're deeply grateful for the kindness, support, and dedication of every member of the team.
It was my child first time going to a nursery and the way they made her so welcome and super caring. I was so happy and it's absolutely one of the best nursery with loving and caring teachers everytime is just super sweet. Thank you very much to all the staff members
The nursery provides excellent care, a safe and clean environment, and engaging activities for the little one. Staff and management are very professional and approachable. Our overall experience has been very positive!
Takes good care of my son, very hands on. Management team is excellent and relays information quickly. Has halal food options. Has help for language delay as well. Very clean environment. Immediate communication in the event of fevers.
I can't rate the staff high enough - they always give individualised feedback on our child's day, and provide advice for ongoing progression or any issues that may arise eg. Separation anxiety, mealtimes at home etc.
The nursery always appears clean and tidy, and the food provision is excellent.
The early drop off and later pick up times are an absolute dream, and has helped myself and my partner fit in nursery without impacting on our own early and late working hours.
Thank you to the nursery staff for being amazing!
Our child has been in nursery since he was 6 months old and he loves to go. He talks about his teachers and friend at bedtime and during the weekend. Staff are really kind and loving, as well as professional and knowledgeable. We really appreciate the respectful educational approach towards the child and we often ask the teachers for advice on how to address certain behaviors at home, so that we can be on the same page.
I've felt comfortable with the nursery since our first visit. All the staff are friendly and truly cared about each child. If there's ever an issue, they will do their best to support my family. They undertake lots of activities and share stories about what they've been up to.
Hospital Nursery.
Little Pioneers at the John Radcliffe have made our child's transition to nursery a seamless and wonderful experience. The nursery is a lovely space, and seeing the activities our child has been completing since starting has been lovely. Each day the staff are welcoming and happy, and our child loves spending time with them. We always feel that our child is well cared for and the communication from the nursery about anything from food eaten to the way he's progressing and feeling day to day have really helped set our mind at ease that our child is happy. The management at the nursery have also been approachable, professional and helpful throughout this time. Inviting us to take part in parent forums, and sharing tips and information have really made us feel heard and reassured. Would recommend Little Pioneers at John Radcliffe to others, a lovely nursery for your children.
Settling-in sessions were provided where we as parents could watch our child explore his surroundings and get to know those who would be caring for him. This really helped to ease our anxiety, especially as the staff were transparent about any expectations we had and what we could expect. The advice has been very helpful.
Nursery is often referred to as childcare but we’ve found through the assessments and feedback we receive that there is such attention from staff who are supporting the development of our son. We understand where he is with his milestones and we can communicate our thoughts freely.
Staff have gone above and beyond to make sure our child was comfortable. This was demonstrated in the flexibility staff took through tailoring his needs at meal time as he settled in, in his first month.
The staff are very good, friendly and welcoming.
The facilities are good. The outdoor areas may not be quite as good as other nurseries, but perfectly fine.
The food is very varied.
And more importantly, our child is very happy there since settling in.
As a first-time mum, in the beginning, I was worried about leaving my son (with a small but scary health issue) in the nursery with people I never saw before. But all those worries went away on the first day and every day after that. Seeing my son always with so much enthusiasm to go to the nursery is a relief. The staff are so sweet, patient and lovely, my son loves them and I know he is safe with them. They always answer all my doubts with so much knowledge, giving tips and ideas about his development. Best nursery.
Both our children have been attending the nursery and it has been a fantastic experience. My son has just left to primary school and he has settled so well because of the preparation he has been given at the nursery. Staff is caring and attending children needs. The level of activity and learning has been exception. My daughter has just started in the baby room and she has settled amazingly well. Overall I am very happy with this nursery.
Altogether great, Thank you!
Staff are extremely helpful and friendly, clearly enjoy looking after the children and really seem to care about them. Have been really good with anything we've asked of them. Nursery managers have got to know us really quickly and keep us informed of any changes etc. Would really recommend it.
Overall, this is a good nursery and preschool. My child, for whom English is a second language, feels well there and becomes more and more confident. Nutrition, educational activities, collective games, the attitude from the manager and the practitioners are all great. The manager, as her predecessor, is very flexible and adapts well to ever-changing circumstances in the covid era. The practitioners are all attentive, give us great feedback on how our son is developing. The newly arrived staff - are awesome, they are really pleasant to interact with, my son loves them, and their Spanish teaching. The only minus that I can mention, is that the child’s bottom at some point was not being cleaned too well after poo, and there was snot around the mouth - nursery explained that they try to give children independence in cleaning themselves, but still took our feedback seriously and took measures of double-checking so our son comes home clean. Overall, a worthy place.
Our daughter has just left Little Pioneers at the John Radcliffe Hospital. She has spent the last 4 years there from the age of 7 months to 4 weeks old. We can not thank the staff enough for their continued diligence and professionalism in early years education. Little Pioneers has been a big part of her life and they have helped to shape and helped her to develop. She has been given lots of opportunities to grow and have lots of new adventures during her time at nursery.
Staff are excellent, management are superb. Activities and learning are done in a very innovative and playful manner with which I am highly impressed. Some great take home activities as well. My child, as well as us, both love this school and will highly recommend to others.
Our children are well looked after at Little Pioneers. The management team are very responsive and the staff seem to genuinely care about our children's development and learning. Daily feedback is generally useful and the staff are keen to answer queries and resolve problems.
