At Little Pioneers Rose Hill they love to get parents involved and so they arrange special days throughout the year just for parents and families. Like an Easter egg hunt, Sports day, Gardening Day and Grandparents' Tea.

They have an app, ParentZone, which keeps mums and dads informed about life at nursery with photos from their day, assessments, meals eaten and even toilet training progress. They are big om safety which is why ALL their staff are paediatric first aid trained,

They are silver eco schools accredited, a programme that sees children lead the way in making little changes that deliver big environmental differences. They are big on happy children and they have areas for growing food (and eating it), regular visits to local care homes and take care of each other and the world.

They have 5 Little Pioneers who help share their core values with children such as encouraging them to be independent and taking care of the world.

Little Pioneers Rose Hill Nursery makes the most of a versatile four-playroom interior in order to see early years education thrive. Both of my children (a boy and girl) attended Rose Hill daycare from the age of 7 months to 2 years. It was the most wonderful environment for them both, with very caring and thoughtful staff who made me feel like my kids were being looked after by a personal childminder, but within a social nursery
environment. They were always very responsive and considerate to any individual needs of the children and were always very happy to work with you if you needed to change your child's sleep patterns, feeding schedule, etc etc.
I always felt like the communication was excellent - I was informed on all aspects of daily life at the nursery, and they were always really flexible and open to last minute changes in my schedule for collection and staying for extra sessions if needed.
We sent both our children here for a reason and would recommend it to anyone. It's a wonderful place.

We love this nursery. They are friendly and caring. A lot of time is invested in our child and his development and daily activities. It's very clean with excellent resources, especially after the recent refurb. We've already recommended it to friends.

I moved to Oxford recently and my son, who is now 3 years old, started attending Rose Hill mid July.


I was amazed on how quickly he was settled. The staff at Rose Hill is very friendly and made him feel welcome right from the beginning. Everyday he comes back home singing the songs he learns at

Rose Hill.


From the parents point of view, I am very happy with the feedback provided by the staff. At pick up times they always tell me in details how the day was. There is a website where I can check what my child has eaten and for how long he has slept. In the same website they provide a report about my son's development. Academically, I feel that my son is being challenged to learn new things in a nourishing environment.

We are very happy with this nursery and have recommended to several friends. Our toddler started here when he was 12 months and was quickly helped to settle in. All of the staff are very kind and know what they are doing! We feel confident that he is in safe hands. The communication with the nursery
is excellent too, and they were happy for me to call several times in the first few weeks, to check how he was doing, which helped to reassure me. We are impressed by the space, and it always very clean. We also make use of the long opening hours. No complaints!

First my son, and now my daughter, attend this nursery. It has been a really good environment for both of them. The staff are very caring and good with the children. They think of an amazing range of fun things for the children to do. The food is varied and really nice (both my kids are vegetarian and
they've always been very happy). The overall ethos is really good, with the staff treating all the children equally and dealing very well with behavioural issues when these arise. I was also very impressed by how they worked to ensure that children with disabilities are happy at the nursery. There are also lots of learning opportunities for them as they progress up through caterpillars, ladybirds and butterflies up into pre-school. I genuinely think this is an excellent nursery and have always felt very happy having my children there. In fact, I think my son misses it a lot now that he has started at primary school!

The staff are very friendly and helpful. My daughter talks so much about what she is being taught in school and how she loves her teachers, which is awesome. To crown it all she loves the chef. Great job!

My son at first had been shy and quiet at nursery but then he created strong bonds with both of his key workers and he has come out of his shell. It was such a positive experience to see that his key workers (on the baby and toddler rooms) warmed up to him quickly and put the time and effort into getting
to know him. He gets a lot of attention from the nursery staff who focus on his needs and his strengths. It’s brilliant to get updates via the Parentzone app, so I can plan his meals at home and I can see how much he slept.


When he started nursery I was quite anxious and I called the nursery very often to check if he was ok. The staff were always very helpful and understanding and reassured me every time. I find the management excellent, very professional and extremely helpful.


There are lots of weekend activities arranged at the nursery as well which is an additional bonus.

We are extremely happy with the way the nursery has taken care of our two daughters. The staff are really kind and patient with the children, there are lots of great activities (eg lots of art and craft, learning Spanish) and there is plenty for the kids to play with and do. There is also great outdoor
space that is heavily used in the warmer parts of the year. The management are helpful and efficient and have always been happy to take time to address any problems we've had. The best thing about the nursery is the people through - the girls have had a series of brilliant key people who have really forged good relationships with them, so they've very rarely been upset at being left there for the day or said they don't want to go. The food is fab - the chef has won national awards! - and the space is lovely, bright and open but with lots of little nooks for the children to explore. They even stay open later than many nurseries, which is convenient. Overall, I heartily recommend it!

Staff are very professional and friendly. My daughter really enjoys going to the nursery. The staff have been really good at helping with potty training and working on her manners. The new app means I can get updates and pictures direct to my phone while she's at nursery. There's always freshly prepared
food that she likes to eat and is good for her.

The staff has always been accommodating of my child’s emotional needs. Their care is warm and loving and all that children need at such a tender age. The lunches provided are of a good variety. Staff are always willing to listen to suggestions for improvement and give ample time to ask about your child,
should our children arrive at nursery with big emotions! I would not hesitate in recommending this nursery to any parent/carer of a child.

My daughter has been attending Co-Operative Childcare Oxford (Rose Hill) Nursery for the better part of a year and I am so pleased with her development since she started attending. I give all credit to the entire staff at this nursery. I did not expect that any nursery would take so much individual
care for my daughter, but they have gone above and beyond. Every teacher and/or staff member at the nursery knows my daughter well, attends to her when needed and frequently request more information from me to better help her during her time at preschool. She asks me to go to school everyday, even on the weekends. Her speech, social skills and overall personal development has really grown over this last year and I really can't thank Co-Operative Childcare Oxford (Rose Hill) Nursery enough.

My son has attended since six months old and is now two and a half. In each room he has been cared for to a high standard by all the staff - who we have found so caring and personable.
My son's development has been supported through activities and play and he loves the food!
Great facilities and areas
- however, play space outdoor could be bigger.

The staff are all very friendly and have helped my daughter to become less clingy...... she will still grump a little when dropped off but when I pick her up the staff always tell me how well behaved she has been and how helpful she has been..... she loves going to nursery and loves her "teachers" as
she calls them!!!! They interact well with her and always make her feel safe and happy :) I am very glad that I chose to send her to The Co-operative Childcare Oxford Nursery!

Very happy with the nursery overall. The staff and the management are lovely and very responsive if any queries, always available when we want to check on him and taking the time to give you all the details on how the day is going, which helps a lot. The facilities are big and spacious, well equipped
for all ages and clean. Love the fact that they do activities even with the babies.
Food seems to be variate, only downside is they don't include follow on infant formula (the 1 is included). On the care, even though each kid has a key carer, we see different members of staff looking after our son every day or depending on the time, this is not a problem since they are all really nice and committed but this means we don't always have the chance to address the same person. Especially for young babies we feel it would be better if someone would be really fully dedicated and on them until they are able to move with minimum risk.
Price is high but you get a complete service and opening hours.

My son has flourished in the nursery, mostly due to his key worker, but also due to the nature of the space and activities that the staff set up and support. He enjoys playing with his friends and especially playing outside.
