Bright Horizons Tonbridge Nursery and Preschool offers high quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years of age.

Bright Horizons is proud to have achieved a Gold Award in April 2018 from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for the 7th consecutive year, earning them a gold medal.

The Nursery is pleased to be awarded 'Good' in all four areas by Ofsted, April 2018.

A team of experienced childcare professionals helps children to learn and discover through a play while maintaining a secure and hygienic setting in which parents can maintain full confidence.

Children are well prepared to transition to school with the unique Ready for School Programme including Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians programmes.

A stimulating outdoor area offers excellent opportunities for exploration and fun for all ages, including the herb garden.

Nutritionally balanced menus are available using fresh ingredients and are prepared on site, while catering for all dietary requirements.

Both our children are currently at nursery and pre-school and we are delighted. The staff are all very friendly and caring. Our children absolutely love going to nursery and preschool and constantly talk about their friends but also the adults. They are real role models for our children. We would 100%
recommend.

The staff are so loving to our daughter and that’s all we would ever want. They are so accommodating and are so open to listening to ideas. My daughter comes out smiling and that’s all that matters. It’s given my daughter some independence.

My son has been at Bright Horizons since 8 months old, he will start school this September. I am very happy with the nursery and so is my child. He has made friends, learned good behaviour and has a great relationship with the staff. They are doing a great job preparing him for school. The communication
is excellent - even at this challenging time - and their covid procedures are clear and safe. Meals are varied and healthy while remaining child friendly! We will miss Bright Horizons when the time comes to move on to school.

I am well pleased with the staff at the nursery. The process of looking for a place for my little ones was made easy as the staff took time to answer all the questions that l had, explaining clearly and also taking time to understand us as a family and what would work for us. The settling in for my
little ones was smooth with feedback from son that he loves and enjoys his new nursery which was very comforting to hear.

We have used the nursery for both of our children, and it’s fantastic. Very high quality of care. Lots of really kind staff who have formed good bonds with our children. The food is very good. It’s extremely well run and organised, communication from the managers who run it is excellent. Wouldn’t hesitate
to recommend!

Teddies has been just brilliant in helping my daughter to settle in.
She started at nine months and instantly bonded to her key carer and it was lovely to watch her development during her time there.
After a lot of thought, we sent our daughter (now 14 months) back to Teddies when it reopened in June
2020 and I’m so glad we did.
She has settled back in so quickly, and her key carer has played a huge role in that.
The team at Teddies are very thoughtful and both on her first day at nursery and her first day back after lockdown, spoke to us on the phone to reassure us she was OK and also provided photos of her day on pick-up which helped massively with our worries.
The manager has also been very patient and understanding with answering lots of questions about the nursery reopening at what must be an exceptionally busy time.
Very grateful to the team for all their hard work and commitment, and would definitely recommend.

Overall, the nursery is great. The staff are nice. The management are understanding and helpful. For the majority of the time, everyone is professional, but occasionally this slips. Sometimes I don't always find nappies clean when we get home. Sometimes overheard conversations are a bit surprising from
the staff.
My daughter is happy and content and making friends. Parents are pleasant and friendly.

Staff are very friendly, we loved the many themed areas/rooms. Management is always available for information and clarification.
Our little one is familiar and close to some of the staff members and finds comfort in their presence when having a rough day. He's being taken care of whenever needed.
We would highly recommend Bright Horizons for little ones, especially for the independent character/skills they promote for children.

Teddies Tonbridge has been a fantastic experience so far for both myself and my baby son. The settling in process really put my mind to rest and gave my son the opportunity to get really comfortable with the new surroundings and the baby room staff. We had no problems getting him settled in which was
a big relief for me! I also feel really welcome at the nursery with all members of staff taking the time to say hello and making the effort to recognise me very early on. Bright Horizons come very highly recommended by me.

Friendly staff. My daughter enjoys spending time in nursery. She is quite close to some of the staff. The learning notes are thorough. Satisfied with the development pace. Suggestion: teaching a foreign language like French/Spanish.

The staff are lovely and my girl has always asked to go to nursery. She is very excited and I think that this is what a nursery should be like for children. Was not difficult to settle down, she continued to progress in a relaxed atmosphere. Thank you to all the team.

Absolutely amazing nursery. My three-year-old girl loves it. She started a month ago and she hardly speaks English but now she speaks the basics and is more confident. Would recommend! The staff are very nice and patient. Thank you to all who takes there time to look alter her.

Very happy with the care my daughter is receiving in the babies room.
She is doing plenty of art and crafts as well as reading books and playing with toys.
I love having a debrief of what she has been up to during the day in her liaison book.
However, I'd like her to go outside more often. The
staff are lovely and caring.

Bright Horizons is a great nursery, my son has been going there since he was 9 months. He has learnt and achieved so much by the staff, supporting and helping the children. I am so pleased with how the staff are, they are great with kids. My son always has a great day, playing and learning etc that
he whines when he has to leave. The whole nursery is kept clean and looked after. The menu is good, the children get what they need with protein, veg, fruit etc. Overall, it is great and would definitely recommend.

Our son has attended Bright Horizons for a year now and we have always found the staff incredibly friendly, attentive and accommodating to our requests and requirements. A gem of a find for us and our son! We hadn't had much luck with previous nurseries and his previous one had to be shut due to the landlord selling the land. He had really settled in there so we were worried about him relocating.. we needn't have! Welcoming him from the moment he walked in the door
the staff have been nothing but attentive and caring towards him settling in and enjoying himself there. Every parent's nightmare is a child that doesn't want to go into nursery, but every morning he goes running into his room, welcomed by the staff and with breakfast sitting there waiting for him, a huge relief for us.
The staff are amazing and keep us well informed and his daily notebook really helps us see how he gets on and the daily activities he's been up to. A wonderful nursery and can't thank all the staff enough.

During the recent episode of severe weather and heavy snow, I was really impressed by the relatively minimal disruption this caused the nursery. I was able to get my children in for their days as normal.
The staff and management worked really well as a team ensuring parents were kept up to date with
the situation whilst putting the children's safety and welfare as a first priority.

Naomi

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2021

Naomi has been working in Childcare since 2003 where she has gained lots of experience working with children from 3 months to 5 years. She started her journey as a member of the bank team at BH Tonbridge, progressing to Room leader of their preschool and baby rooms.


She became Deputy manager in 2013 and transferred to BH Kings Hill in February 2019, staying in the same role. She is now looking forward to leading the team as Nursery Manager at Tonbridge.


She is very passionate about children having fun within a safe environment and reaching their full potential. She is also the nursery Senco and is very keen to ensure any children with additional needs have their educational needs met while working with outside agencies to ensure this is achieved.


In her spare time, she enjoys walking her dogs and spending time with her son.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Hello my name is Rachel, I have worked at Bright Horizons Tonbridge since May 2009 and am level 3 qualified in childcare.
I love knowing that parents feel safe leaving their child with me and that I am able to keep them safe and cared for through each day.
I worked in the toddler room for a year and a half and then worked in babycare for 8 years where I became room leader then third in charge. I loved working in the baby care room welcoming new babies and families.
In January 2009 I became deputy Manager and help and support the running of the nursery along with spending time with the children in the rooms.
It is very rewarding watching the children grow and develop through their time with us before their next big adventure at school.
