Bright Horizons Tonbridge Nursery and Preschool offers high quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years of age.

Bright Horizons is proud to have achieved a Gold Award in April 2018 from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for the 7th consecutive year, earning them a gold medal.

The Nursery is pleased to be awarded 'Good' in all four areas by Ofsted, April 2018.

A team of experienced childcare professionals helps children to learn and discover through a play while maintaining a secure and hygienic setting in which parents can maintain full confidence.

Children are well prepared to transition to school with the unique Ready for School Programme including Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians programmes.

A stimulating outdoor area offers excellent opportunities for exploration and fun for all ages, including the herb garden.

Nutritionally balanced menus are available using fresh ingredients and are prepared on site, while catering for all dietary requirements.

My little girl has been going to Bright Horizons for 2 years now and she is absolutely thriving. She loves her key worker and has made alot of friends who she is very close to which is good because now I've made parent friends myself and we enjoy going on play dates together. The staff are very kind
and receptive to our needs and show empathy on difficult situations too. They really help you work through any issues. Very happy with my little one going here. Thank you x

I am so happy to be sending my 2.5 year old to Bright Horizons Tonbridge. All the staff are so kind and friendly and have been so wonderful at settling in him in. It is clear he enjoys his time there.
The management staff are also brilliant and so responsive especially compared to our experience at
other nurseries.

Our 16 month old has been in the Baby Room at bright Horizons Tonbridge for 4 months and we have been really happy with how he has settled in. The team are so caring and make sure the babies are kept occupied with lots of different activities. It has been lovely to see our little one grow in confidence
and settle in so smoothly. It's great to see lots of photos daily of what our son is getting up too. The staff have gone above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable with the setting, organising a coffee morning for new families and also a Christmas party. Thanks to the manager and the team for all their support!

We've had exceptional care for our 3-year-old at this nursery. He absolutely loves going there, and we feel confident that he's well-looked after. The food provided is top-notch, and it's clear they care deeply about each child. The preschool staff are outstanding, forming genuine connections with the
children. The management team is also super friendly and quick to respond to any questions. The nursery's app is fantastic - always up-to-date, and the images that come through are of great quality. They bring us joy every time and provide peace of mind that our little one is in great hands.

My children attend Bright Horizons Tonbridge Day Nursery and Preschool and absolutely love it. My toddler runs into pre-school every day excited and enthusiastic. My baby has just started in the baby room and has settled so well. The team in there have been so accommodating of our schedule to help her
keep her routine consistent.
What really makes the nursery amazing is the staff - they are all so patient, warm and caring. They allow the children to express themselves, be creative and have fun within a safe environment. We are so pleased we chose to send our daughters there.

Bright Horizons Tonbridge Day Nursery have been brilliant at settling our little one and supporting me in my transition back to work. Our son loves spending time with his friends and one staff member in particular in the baby room who has made him feel so welcome. It is a big relief to know he is being

My daughter loves her nursery, she enjoys games, toys, books and activities. The only two concerns that I have is that she gets nappy rash a lot as it seems her nappy isn't changed as often as we do that at home. And the kids do get occasional screen time which isn't logged into the app, so we don't
know how to account for her overall daily screen time intake.
Otherwise good.

My son is newly enrolled at this nursery but so far, it has been excellent. The manager and deputy manager were excellent in helping us sign up for the nursery. They took time explaining everything and making the process easy. My son has some additional needs but this didn't scare them off. They have
been so helpful in trying to understand how they can help - they really went above and beyond. The app is really informative and it is nice to see some photos throughout the day. The girls in the room are all lovely. I am excited to see how my son develops at this nursery.

My twins absolutely love their little learner's group. They are always telling us about a fun activity they did that day and always go outdoors on a daily basis. The app is great to get inspiration from the meals they eat at nursery as well as some cute pictures for the photo album. Keeping the best
until last, the staff from initial visit to drop-offs have been fantastic, friendly and supportive.

My son has been with Bright Horizons Tonbridge Day Nursery and Preschool ever since he joined when he was 2 and a 1/2 years old. He is now 4 years of age and can say to begin with, you have your doubts as a parent but over the time with the friendly staff and the activities they provide it has been
reassuring.
He is now at preschool and would like to thank each and every member of staff in preschool who goes beyond and cares for my little one.

My daughter started at Bright Horizons Tonbridge Day Nursery and Preschool when she was just 6 months old. I really struggled to leave her at first as she was so little but the staff were kind and supportive and spent time making me feel at ease as well as making sure they met all her needs. When she
first started, I was still breastfeeding and she refused to take a bottle for the first two to three weeks, which was stressful, but the staff kept persevering and she now loves her milk! The team in the baby room have been absolutely fantastic with her and she is really thriving, she barely looks back when I leave her in the morning. The room that she is in is great, it's always clean, there are loads of toys for her to play with which they always set up in imaginative ways and they do a group activity with them every day. They have also been brilliant at flagging when she is poorly and needs to see our GP. I couldn't be happier with the level of care they provide.

Our youngest daughter followed in the footsteps of her elder sister by attending Bright Horizons Tonbridge Day Nursery and Preschool and we have nothing but positive things to say about the nursery. The staff are incredible - upbeat, welcoming and genuinely care about the children in their care. The
nursery itself is bright and clean with plenty of outside space. It can actually be quite hard to get our daughter to leave at the end of the day because she wants to stay and keep on playing!

Overall, the nursery and staff are very good. They are adored by the children that they look after. My main criticisms/points for improvement are:
1. That not all staff provide detailed feedback on the daily activities/mood etc of the children. You sometimes have to push for answers. That being said,
the staff are always willing to smart questions so, this is a minor point.
2. They could do even more with early years foundational learning with respect to motor skills for writing and/or learning to read phonetically.
Otherwise, I would say that I'm very happy with the nursery. My children have loved it and the staff. I have frequently struggled to get them to want to leave at the end of the day!

We have two children at the nursery. Although there have been a lot of changes since our first child enrolled 3 years ago (mostly staff-related), we feel very comfortable with them attending Bright Horizons in Tonbridge, and know that the children have a good time and are with people they trust and
enjoy the company of.
Communication is good- via the app and in person, the facilities are also of quite a high standard (and have recently improved ie the garden space, and new equipment has just been installed in our younger child’s room).
Meals seem creative and varied and we often receive crafts on collection.

We have two children at the nursery and couldn’t be happier. The staff are very dedicated, caring and creative. Our eldest transferred from another nursery and our youngest started in the baby room, both settled well and are very happy, as are we. We would always highly recommend Bright Horizons Tonbridge.

Our daughter has attended Bright Horizons Tonbridge for just over a year, and we've been delighted with the day-to-day care, fun activities and playful learning that she has clearly enjoyed there. She is always excited to go in each morning and has formed a lovely close bond with her fantastic key workers.
We
particularly appreciate the communication from the nursery staff, which has been consistently excellent and informative, including daily photo updates of our daughter enjoying varied activities, detailed observations about her development and progress, and lovely conversations about what she's been up to at the end of each day.
It's clear that everyone at Bright Horizons loves what they do, and cares deeply about all of the children and their development.

Great nursery. My daughter loves going to this nursery and she has made great friends. All the staff are very nice and flexible and my daughter loves them all. We get regular updates on what they eat, pictures and events. I would recommend it to everyone.

My child started at the nursery at the beginning of the month, previously my daughter attended but this was over five years ago. It is just as lovely as it was when she attended. So we are familiar with some of the staff already but they have all been so welcoming. My child is flourishing in their care
and I would recommend this nursery to anyone for the love and attention they show the children.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2021

Naomi has been working in Childcare since 2003 where she has gained lots of experience working with children from 3 months to 5 years. She started her journey as a member of the bank team at BH Tonbridge, progressing to Room leader of their preschool and baby rooms.


She became Deputy manager in 2013 and transferred to BH Kings Hill in February 2019, staying in the same role. She is now looking forward to leading the team as Nursery Manager at Tonbridge.


She is very passionate about children having fun within a safe environment and reaching their full potential. She is also the nursery Senco and is very keen to ensure any children with additional needs have their educational needs met while working with outside agencies to ensure this is achieved.


In her spare time, she enjoys walking her dogs and spending time with her son.

Hello my name is Rachel, I have worked at Bright Horizons Tonbridge since May 2009 and am level 3 qualified in childcare.
I love knowing that parents feel safe leaving their child with me and that I am able to keep them safe and cared for through each day.
I worked in the toddler room for a year and a half and then worked in babycare for 8 years where I became room leader then third in charge. I loved working in the baby care room welcoming new babies and families.
In January 2009 I became deputy Manager and help and support the running of the nursery along with spending time with the children in the rooms.
It is very rewarding watching the children grow and develop through their time with us before their next big adventure at school.
