Bright Horizons Canterbury Day Nursery and Preschool

My son started at Bright Horizons earlier this year. I have been so happy with the care provided, the handover of information at the end of the day, keeping us informed of covid updates, and most especially, with the bond he's formed with his keyworker. I don't need to worry about him at all when I'm at work, and I'm so grateful to all the staff, especially his key worker!

My 3-year-old loves the nursery, and we are also happy that she enjoys her time there. Bright Horizon family has been very supportive and helpful on her progress. The way they have settled her, and the staff looking after her and other children have done an excellent job. Couldn’t ask for more.

My child has been attending Bright Horizons Canterbury Day Nursery and Preschool, five mornings a week, since October. He has been moved to the preschool group and he absolutely loves it. He has bonded very well with the nursery staff. He has made such lovely friends as well. I have noticed that his learning development is going great, as every day he surprises me with new things he has learned at nursery. I would 100% recommend the nursery to friends.

Bright Horizons is such a happy, supportive place. Our daughter has flourished here and she looks forward to going every day to play with her friends. We are very grateful to you. Thank you.

Bright horizons Canterbury always tries to be so accommodating. I had multiple training days in February, some being organised last minute. The staff managed to accommodate my daughter for the extra half days. The one day my mum picked my daughter up, they took my daughter to the front door as my Mum is disabled. Lovely staff, great preschool!

I would recommend this nursery to other parents.

My children have been very happy and well cared for. The staff are extremely caring and helpful and I would recommend this nursery to anyone.

The way they have prepared my son for primary school is commendable. The transition for me has been smooth, it's still ongoing. The staff is hard working and creative. The graduation day was very well organised, kids are given lots of exposure to social learning through live creatures, eg. to teach the life cycle, they got caterpillars and kids saw them turn into butterflies, Easter eggs into ducklings. They make sure kids are independent by the end of their stay in pre-school, helped in toilet training and dressing and undressing themselves. Overall a very good experience.

I have been so impressed with how the preschool room have prepared my son for school. They are so supportive.

Both of my children have attended Spring Lane with my son currently in Toddlers. I have, in the main, had an extremely positive experience. The staff are kind, caring and provide the reassurance and confidence that my children are being well cared for. Notably, the key person for both of my children has been absolutely amazing, she is truly amazing and formed an amazing bond with them both.

Our daughter has continually developed and enjoyed her journey through the nursery. Staff are all always very happy and friendly. Communication, on the whole, is good through the use of newsletters and emails. However, at the point of drop off and handover, in particular, communication can be poor resulting in key information being left out or not being passed on.

I am grateful and would like to recommend this nursery.

My child went to this nursery and we only changed due to moving area. My daughter who was 18 months when we left had a great bond with the staff who looked after her in the baby room. I felt reassured when I left her their knowing she was happy. Was really happy with the food they provided and the toys for her to play with.

My son took a while to settle but the staff have gone the extra mile in finding and suggesting ways to calm him.

This nursery is excellent - I have only positive things to say about it. My children have both been nurtured, developed and supported in every way. The staff genuinely care and are so thoughtful. My son is very energetic and they understand that he's not naughty. The make sure he gets lots of exercise and appreciate his manner and exuberance. The food is great, management is professional and safeguarding is exceptional. Don't be put off by the portacabins - inside they're fantastic and staff are wonderful.

Overall the nursery has provided a lovely environment for my child. I have had peace of mind that she is being well cared for. There are a few areas that could benefit from a review though. The food allergy policy, for example, is very inflexible, while I can understand the need for this, it seems pointless when it ends up as a tick box exercise, rather than catering for the individual. Personally, I have felt excluded from the 'school leavers' process, despite providing due notification that my child would be leaving nursery for school. I'm quite happy to discuss these areas for improvement, separate from this review.

My daughter is always warmly welcomed by the staff. There is a wide range of activities which she enjoys participating in. She particularly liked growing her plant and the water fight! I feel confident that all the staff in pre-school know my daughter well. They developed her letter recognition and phonics knowledge over the past month and she is showing a real interest in this now. We are so grateful to everyone at Spring Lane.

I am very happy with the whole experience. These last three years or so, I have seen my daughter grow in a very loving, supporting and encouraging learning environment. Whenever we have raised a concern, we have been listened to by the staff. Whenever we have had any conflicts, we have been able to resolve it in a friendly and effective manner. My experience overall has been very positive. I have also seen the efforts to improve in all of the following areas - security, facilities and communication. Well Done!

Asquith Spring Lane Day Nursery have been amazing. My daughter struggled to settle in as a baby and the staff were great and reassuring. We can easily work together to ensure my daughter has amazing care. She now loves nursery and has learnt a lot from nursery rhymes, numbers to independently eating.

Both my son and daughter have attended Spring Lane Nursery. The standard of care and activities are excellent. One of the most important things for me is the feeling that my children's emotional needs are tended too when I am not there and I feel that the staff at Spring Lane do that. Whenever they need a cuddle that's what they get. They have both enjoyed being at Spring Lane.
