Hemsley House Nursery School

Thanks so much to the knowledgeable and committed senior team and room leaders who keep the children so happy. Definitely a nursery to recommend.

I can't explain how pleased we are that we moved my son to Hemsley House after issues with settling at one of the larger chains. The staff are absolutely amazing, they all have taken the time to get to know him, even those who aren't his key worker or with him every day, every message I give on drop-off is relayed to all staff and they always try their utmost to meet my requests. My son has settled in so well here and I completely trust all his needs are taken care of and I will be contacted if there are any issues. He spends a lot of time outside in the garden, which he loves and is always happy and well-fed when I pick him up. A good level of updates are provided via the app, especially during his settles which provided so much reassurance and we always receive a detailed download in person at the end of the day too. So glad we found the nursery and would definitely recommend it!

My second child is currently here, full time, seems a shame the recent staff turnover but cannot fault the care they give my child. They're happy and thriving and the regular updates via the app provide me with reassurance.

My daughter has attended Hemsley House Nursery since the age of seven months, and my experience has always been positive - from the baby room to young toddlers and with the transition to older toddlers. All of the staff got to know our little girl really well, very quickly and we laughed and enjoyed the milestones together. My daughter comes out of nursery well-fed, happy and with lots of stories about the fun activities she has done, all the friends she has been with and the lovely adults she has spent time with.

My daughter has attended both the baby and toddler unit at Hemsley House, and I cannot fault either. The staff are incredible, attentive and supportive and have contributed massively to my daughter's learning, development and social skills. They are always on hand to help and have provided invaluable advice and guidance in milestones such as nap dropping and potty training. My daughter enjoys every day at ‘big nursery’ and is always telling me about the amazing activities she does and the delicious food she eats!

Overall we would highly recommend Hemsley House.

Really happy with the Hemsley baby unit so far, my baby loves it and all the staff are really caring and listen to your needs and concerns. I love the fact I get updated throughout the day as this puts my mind at ease. Thank you!

Thank you to all the Young Toddlers staff for all of your guidance, care and learning through play which you have done with our little one this year. The staff at Hemsley House are great facilitators, whose input, has helped to shape our daughter into the lovely girl she is becoming. She really enjoys nursery and it is a big part of her weekly routine; talking about the nursery staff, at home, as her friends. The time and emotional energy given every day is very much appreciated!

My son started at Hemsley House Nursery School in January. He loves it so much he doesn't want to leave. The staff are fantastic. I can't fault this place or its staff at all. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a nursery place.

When first looking around we loved the home from home feel and the way the staff interacted with the children. Although there were tears at drop-off for the first week or so, she quickly adapted to nursery life and is always happy and thriving when we pick her up. Communication is good with regular emails from management and I always get a speedy response with any questions or queries that I may have. They do a variety of engaging activities working on the children's development and make use of the outside space as much as possible. We get daily updates both verbally and on the app. The staff are energetic, engaging and always smiling. Our daughter loves her key worker, who is amazing with her, making sure she is happy and safe whilst building her confidence and encouraging her to reach new milestones. She’s great at communicating and working with us at all times. It really makes the whole nursery/working full time experience easier! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hemsley House Day Nursery & Pre-school!

We moved from London to Maidstone and were really unsure of which nursery to put our 2-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter in and I am so glad we chose Hemsley House. Although my son cried at drop-off for the first week, they both transitioned really well into the nursery and it's clear to see that all of the staff are really engaged, caring and committed to the wellbeing and development of the kids. By week 2, my son was literally running through the door to get in. The staff go far out of their way to communicate what's going on at the nursery and to plan fun and engaging activities. They know the kids as individuals. Both the sites are fantastic - completely geared towards the kids' developmental abilities and interests. My son and daughter are always beaming when I come to pick them up. They've been there for 6 months now and I keep being more and more impressed with how they care and nurture the kids.

I'd highly recommend this nursery to anyone in need.

I have been using Helmsley House Nursery and Pre-School for around 4 years now. My daughter went to both settings until she went to school, and now my son has been going for around a year. I adore the nursery. So many others I visited felt too clinical or impersonal. Since the second we stepped through the door it felt like a home away from home. The staff are lovely, bubbly people. I can honestly never tell if they have had a bad day (though I'm sure it happens!) as they always have a smile on their faces. They have an excellent framework for developments and keep in constant contact about a child's progress. They are very reasonably priced, especially given the location. If I've ever had an issue (which is really rare), senior staff and managers have always responded promptly and positively. I feel my children are safe, happy and well looked after. I couldn't recommend it more!

Our daughter has attended Hemsley House since she was 10 months old. She has settled in well, enjoys nursery, has developed and made friends. Staff at Hemsley House are caring and professional and always happy to work with us to help reinforce whatever we are doing at home. Our daughter enjoys the large adventure garden and the freshly prepared food (which was a major draw for us). We would happily recommend Hemsley House to other parents/carers.

This nursery is perfect for my daughter. We were apprehensive about putting her in nursery when I went back to work, and had a bad experience at a different nursery after attending settling in sessions and not being happy with the setting. We were lucky to find space still at Hemsley House, who accommodated us easily and put our minds at ease answering all the questions we had when enrolling our then 10 month old. They are happy to accommodate to our vegetarian diet, and the communication is great, always answering the phone if needed and giving us all the information on her day! More recently our daughter has been in a leg cast so cannot walk, the nursery staff have all been wonderful and sympathetic to how frustrated she must feel not being able to move around the way she wants, so have put in extra care to make sure she is happy and enjoying her time at nursery. Highly recommend the nursery, in particular the baby room.

I have been using both Hemsley House Day Nursery & Pre-school settings for nearly 10 years now. All of my children have enjoyed attending and the staff are very caring and lovely. They have also learned a great deal at the nursery. Thoroughly recommend.

My son has loved going to the nursery. He has settled in very well with his nursery workers and they always greet him with big smiles. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hemsley House Day Nursery & Pre-school to anyone looking to put their baby into nursery. As a first time mum, anxious about leaving my little one for the first time, I could not have even made to feel more secure and welcome by the staff and management. It is so clear that my daughter loves the ladies and nursery, and I have no doubts that, after visiting many nurseries to view, we made the right decision bringing her to Hemsley. She has a lot of fun, eats exceptionally well and even sleeps longer than she does at home because she’s had such a wonderful and stimulating time!
