Rowan Tree day nursery is a happy nursery where every child is treated as an individual. Much of the character of the building has been retained to provide spacious and interesting rooms with first class facilities. There is a discreet CCTV system which enables parents to view their children when they first settle into nursery life, and an intercom system for security.

Brightly decorated rooms provide children with the opportunity to grow and develop through a stimulating and sociable environment. The children can enjoy the outside in the spacious garden, stocked with a variety of equipment to promote all areas of their development with a secluded garden for babies with safety flooring. Rowan Tree has a fully qualified Forest school leader and has started a Forest School Programme with the pre-school children. They have also achieved their Green Flag Eco-Schools award four times now.

A friendly and enthusiastic staff team work together to ensure high-quality child care is provided.

Rowan Tree has been an amazing experience for both my 5-year-old and 2 1/2 year old. All staff are nurturing and very caring towards the children and my children have grown into wonderful little people because of them. Staff work together and involve parents in the care of their children. I would definitely
recommend Rowan Tree to others if they wanted a supportive, loving and thriving environment for their baby.

I cannot recommend Rowan Tree enough. My child has had a few health problems but they have been brilliant with reassuring me that my child is well looked after. The staff are very friendly and funny. I find that my child refers to her friends and keyworkers regularly. She regularly gets excited about
attending nursery as she likes the special activities that take place eg. Football coaching and musical sessions.

I have found my experience with Rowan Tree, excellent. All the staff are very devoted and excellent. Our son has progressed amazingly with his speech and counting and often uses new words or skills that he has learnt at the nursery. We would have no hesitation recommending the nursery.

Rowan Tree is a beautiful nursery. All the rooms are light, airy and big with lovely outside play areas. The baby room also has air-con and a great roof terrace play area.


The staff are caring and loving. They are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. They are there because they love the

job and make you feel like your child is just as important to them as they are to you. The management and administration are top notch and would highly recommend. My children and I just think it is brilliant.

Rowan Tree is a well established, friendly and professionally run nursery. My daughter has settled easily with the help of caring staff and key workers. Constant progress updates on my child provide me with great reassurance on her care and education. Events have also allowed us to get involved with
the nursery community. I feel safe about my child's welfare in Rowan Tree and happy about her future there. I would recommend Rowan Tree to any parents for the care of their loved children.

My son is so happy here, he has made lots of friends and loves all the staff. He has a music group every week, as well as sports too. He has a food allergy and the kitchen staff were so accommodating, knowledgeable and organised that we felt very reassured. He is always so engaged when I pick him up
and he has never not wanted to go. :)

A wonderfully caring nursery with kind, friendly staff who treat the children in their care very well. Down to earth and engaging, always happy to accommodate requests for more information or specific requests. My son has been at Rowan Tree since February 2016 and experienced the caterpillars and ladybirds
rooms with two excellent key workers. I am very happy to recommend this nursery to anyone looking for childcare in Welwyn Garden City or surrounding area.

The staff at Rowan Tree are extremely caring, attentive and very professional. They are all clearly very experienced. Our daughter has been going there since she was just over 9 months and simply loves it. The activities are so educational, social and aim at developing the child's both current and future

Our son started attending Rowan Tree Day Nursery (Welwyn Garden City) for 1 and a half days a week in Jan 2016, when he was 12 months old. From the very beginning, we had a positive impression of the nursery. The staff are so genuine and caring and they made a big effort to find out how we care for
our son. at home and how we would like them to care for him at Rowan Tree Day Nursery (Welwyn Garden City). They have been very happy to accommodate our requests to do things that they don't usually do as a matter of course, e.g. brushing teeth, using washable nappies that we supply, using the potty, no sweet puddings. We are so impressed with the activities that our son gets to do and the Parentzone system is brilliant for finding out about his day and development. Our son is so happy at Rowan Tree Day Nursery (Welwyn Garden City) and we feel 100% that is is the right choice for our family.

Brilliant, fantastic, awesome. Not enough words to describe the performance of all staff, from girls and guys in Butterflies to office and kitchen staff all superb. Really pleased with my son's development, really come on with spelling, words, numbers etc. Would recommend to everyone.

What is your favourite feature of Rowan Tree?
My favourite features of the nursery are the roof garden for our babies and the Art Studio for our Pre-School which has been designed using the Reggio approach.


What are you most proud of about your nursery?
I am most proud of our team. We have a very highly motivated team with a low turnover and dedicated staff who have been with us for a number of years.
