Rowan Tree Day Nursery (Welwyn Garden City)

I always feel the staff are treated well here, which gives a wonderful atmosphere to the whole place. The carers are intelligent, thoughtful and very hard working. Our children love Rowan Tree and so do we.

My son is so happy here, he has made lots of friends and loves all the staff. He has a music group every week, as well as sports too. He has a food allergy and the kitchen staff were so accommodating, knowledgeable and organised that we felt very reassured. He is always so engaged when I pick him up and he has never not wanted to go. :)

A wonderfully caring nursery with kind, friendly staff who treat the children in their care very well. Down to earth and engaging, always happy to accommodate requests for more information or specific requests. My son has been at Rowan Tree since February 2016 and experienced the caterpillars and ladybirds rooms with two excellent key workers. I am very happy to recommend this nursery to anyone looking for childcare in Welwyn Garden City or surrounding area.

The staff at Rowan Tree are extremely caring, attentive and very professional. They are all clearly very experienced. Our daughter has been going there since she was just over 9 months and simply loves it. The activities are so educational, social and aim at developing the child's both current and future skills. We would highly recommend the nursery for your child's care and your peace of mind too!

Our son started attending Rowan Tree Day Nursery (Welwyn Garden City) for 1 and a half days a week in Jan 2016, when he was 12 months old. From the very beginning, we had a positive impression of the nursery. The staff are so genuine and caring and they made a big effort to find out how we care for our son. at home and how we would like them to care for him at Rowan Tree Day Nursery (Welwyn Garden City). They have been very happy to accommodate our requests to do things that they don't usually do as a matter of course, e.g. brushing teeth, using washable nappies that we supply, using the potty, no sweet puddings. We are so impressed with the activities that our son gets to do and the Parentzone system is brilliant for finding out about his day and development. Our son is so happy at Rowan Tree Day Nursery (Welwyn Garden City) and we feel 100% that is is the right choice for our family.

Brilliant, fantastic, awesome. Not enough words to describe the performance of all staff, from girls and guys in Butterflies to office and kitchen staff all superb. Really pleased with my son's development, really come on with spelling, words, numbers etc. Would recommend to everyone.

All 3 of our children have attended Rowan Tree Day Nursery since they were babies, on a continuous basis over the last 10 years. They have formed friendships with the staff and children, had a great deal of fun learning opportunities and been loved and cared for. The food is excellent and has given them exposure to a range of flavour and textures.

Additional needs have been catered for with effciency, love and compassion. Parents are kept well-informed with parents evenings, seasonal events and weekly emails. There are outings and to round it off, a fabulous graduation ceremony! Our children have been enriched by their time at nursery and left, ready for school. Very sad to be leaving.

He is ready to go to 'big school' now and I feel he is ready both academically and emotionally. The staff both in the office and in his room, have been fantastic with him and he is going to miss them all.

Both my children attended this nursery from about 14 months old. My son has just left as he will be going to school. I really think the nursery is excellent. The setting is lovely, the activities are educational and fun and the staff are enthusiastic, caring and skilled. My son has flourished in this setting and he is now ready to go to school with confidence and the ability to integrate with other children and adults. I would highly recommend the nursery. It has benefitted both my children immensely. I want to pass on special thanks to all those in butterflies.

I have been using this nursery for over 3 years now, with both my sons attending from around 9 months old. I looked at a lot of nurseries, and in fact had chosen another nursery initially, but I found that they didn't seem to enjoy my child. I have never once found this at Rowan Tree, I have always found the atmosphere to be extremely friendly, and all the staff seem to genuinely enjoy working with the children. My children both have very different temperaments, and both have been accommodated in a way that made them feel secure, me feel reassured, and them also challenged to improve on areas where they were struggling. Any issues I have had have always been taken seriously, and dealt with in a timely manner. The menus are varied, and even my eldest picky eater eats well there.

It's so difficult to find somewhere that you are comfortable to leave your baby (especially your first!) but I have been more than happy with Rowan Tree, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

I am very happy with the nursery, with the care provided, outstanding communication between a parent and a teacher. Great communication between a child and a teacher, very relaxed atmosphere, very friendly staff and helpful staff.

All staff are fantastic, very helpful and my child loves spending time with them all.

Our son has developed very well at the Nursery. Without their help I am not sure how well we would have coped we weening our son, he can be quiet stubborn. Now he smiles when he is passed to them. I have found the staff very professional and respectful. I would recommend them.

We have had both our children in Rowan Tree Day Nursery since 2012. As parents we have always been impressed with the level of care and commitment that the nursery has provided our family. All the staff have been exceptional, showing us support at all stages and we highly recommend the nursery to all parents.

My child absolutely loves Rowan Tree Day Nursery and your staff are the best I have seen in all the 10 years my children have attended nursery/childcare. All of the team in my child's room are fantastic and it will be a sad day when she leaves.

Lovely caring staff, good clean facilities and cosy homely atmosphere, good communication with the parents, inc organising things like first aid course and providing with detailed reports on the kids activities during their time at nursery verbally but also in the form of the learning journals with plenty of pics etc .

My son has recently moved up to the ladybirds room after a fantastic time in caterpillars. Due to illness he struggled to settle initially but the care, kindness & support shown by the caterpillar team was outstanding and has continued throughout. He is clearly treated as an individual and his interests are encouraged at every opportunity. The staff are all incredibly caring, even the team in the office always take the time to greet & chat with my little boy. He really enjoys going to nursery & I would thoroughly recommend Rowan Tree to any parent.

My daughter started attending the nursery this year in the caterpillar room and I have been impressed ever since. The friendliness and professionalism of the staff is fantastic, with a real focus on care, attention to detail and wanting to engage with the children. From day 1 its clear the emphasis that is put on each child's development and ensuring that they are treated as individuals and not part of a group in a room.
