Rowan Tree day nursery is a happy nursery where every child is treated as an individual. Much of the character of the building has been retained to provide spacious and interesting rooms with first class facilities. There is a discreet CCTV system which enables parents to view their children when they first settle into nursery life, and an intercom system for security.

Brightly decorated rooms provide children with the opportunity to grow and develop through a stimulating and sociable environment. The children can enjoy the outside in the spacious garden, stocked with a variety of equipment to promote all areas of their development with a secluded garden for babies with safety flooring. Rowan Tree has a fully qualified Forest school leader and has started a Forest School Programme with the pre-school children. They have also achieved their Green Flag Eco-Schools award four times now.

A friendly and enthusiastic staff team work together to ensure high-quality child care is provided.

Both of our children have been at Rowan Tree from being young and we absolutely love it. The room settings are amazing and tailored to the ages of the children and the staff are incredible. They are always very supportive of needs and accommodating. The facilities are some of the best I’ve seen in Welwyn
Garden City, particularly the outside space. I really like how each room has access to its own garden. We love the social events they organise and we’ve made some really great friends over the years! We love the regular updates on how the children have been getting on and what they are learning. Couldn’t recommend the nursery enough and wouldn’t want them to be in any other setting.

A really excellent nursery, we have had our eldest there for 3 years now and have been in all the rooms. Our youngest has just started. Staff are consistently high quality and he has been happy, comfortable and relaxed throughout his time there. All staff know all the children's names and know brothers
and sisters. Very supportive of your individual needs and flexible to your routines. I would highly recommend it.

Our daughter started at Rowan Tree Day Nursery in September and we are all so happy with it. The staff are great, very attentive and patient. They organise a lot of different activities inside and outside the nursery and spend a lot of time teaching children about subjects such as how to care for the
environment, nature etc. They always provide plenty of information on how the day went and regularly partner with various charities where families are offered to donate clothes or food which I find great.
It feels very structured and family-oriented at the same time. Our daughter loves it there and so do we.

My son has been attending Rowan Tree for 7 weeks now and we could not be happier. He is really content which makes us feel completely reassured he is in good hands. The nursery itself feels homely and welcoming. We sent our older son to another nursery in Mardley Hill (which was also amazing) but we
are actually happier with Rowan Tree and are so happy we made the decision to send him here.

Our second child will be leaving Rowen Tree this summer and off to school. We have had both our children at Rowen tree since the age of one, over the last 7 years. They have always been very welcoming, and both our children never had a bad experience. Rowen Tree have always been very informative of
how our children are doing and what they have been up to that day. We are always informed of what they have eaten that day.
Like many nurseries the cost can be high but even though we have had choices available to us to go to a nursery that would cost less we have never considered them as both our children have enjoyed their time at nursery. Yes, I would recommend Rowen Tree.

I am so happy with Rowan Tree Day Nursery and couldn't fault it. The staff are lovely and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble and you can really feel that in the calming atmosphere the nursery has. This made settling in much easier for my son and for me! He settled in really well and it was reassuring
that I could call to check on him if I need to, without feeling like I was being a nuisance.
There is a real community feel at Rowan Tree which I believe the children pick up and feel reassured by. My son gets so many opportunities that some nurseries do not provide, such as photos, a summer fête, and book swaps.
Communication is excellent, response times are quick, so help is always on hand if I have any questions.
Feedback on my son's day, and his development, has been great. I get lots of insight into what he has been doing day to day and also what milestones/learning objectives there are for the month.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rowan Tree to anyone looking for a nursery.

My child joined Rowantree in September and settled in really quickly. The staff in her room are all amazing with her - welcoming, and caring and they are always engaged, asking how she is at drop off and let us know how she's got on each day at pick up. The management team are all great, running an
effective nursery and keeping parents regularly updated. I always feel confident that my child is being well cared for and enjoying her time at Rowantree.

I would highly recommend Rowan Tree; the staff are exceptional. Always welcoming and nice to have friendly chats. They feel like family, and the service provided to my daughter is exceptional. The staff spend one-to-one time with her; they are very dedicated to my daughter's needs, even when she needs
comfort after morning drop-offs. My daughter has learned new things and starting to become more independent through the activities. This is definitely the best nursery and is home-friendly and very clean.

My daughter started at Rowan Tree at a year old. She has developed into a wonderful, vocal and intelligent person. In part due to the incredible support and development support from Rowan Tree. She always felt excited to go to nursery and to be working daily with her key worker. The trips, the events,
and the special occasions all helped to ensure she found Rowan Tree a truly fantastic experience. Her needs were met at every turn and communication from Rowan Tree to my daughter and Rowan Tree to me as the parent I found to be executed perfectly. We were always informed and told to share our opinion, needs or requirements for our daughter. The nursery itself is well run and everyone is focused on ensuring Rowan Tree is an exceptional nursery for any child, regardless of needs.

My son started the nursery when he was 8-months-old. My son has learned so much in the nine months he has been here and has an excellent relationship with all the practitioners in the room. My son can put two words together at 17-months, is babbling/talking all the time, is very confident and has the
most wonderful relationship with two members of staff, one of which is a fantastic apprentice. I cannot recommend this nursery enough as they have listened to every concern and need we have presented them and the communication between parent and practitioner has been everything we could have asked for. I cannot wait to see how my son progresses in the future and with his move to Ladybirds in September, we are very excited for the new learning that will take place.

We cannot rate Rowan Tree Day Nursery highly enough. Our son has been there since he was 11-months and they have supported him and us as a family all the way through some very challenging times that Covid presented. Everyone we have interacted with has been warm, professional and truly cares about doing

We absolutely love this nursery! The attention and care our children received is well beyond anything we expected. Our son has a speech delay. After informing the staff, they began a learning program that was catered specifically towards his needs. Now my son is speaking more and more and most importantly
he LOVES going to nursery! He gleefully runs to the door and can't wait to start his day. He confidently joins activities and sits with his loving key person, ready for the next. My son's remarkable progress and dramatic improvement in speech are things my partner and I cannot thank Rowan Tree enough for. The management of the nursery is excellent. Cleanliness, especially during this pandemic, is excellent. My children haven't even had the usual stomach bug that comes with starting nursery. I highly recommend Rowan Tree. It's an absolutely amazing nursery with kind and capable staff!

We have been absolutely delighted with Rowan Tree so far. My daughter is really loving being in the Butterflies preschool room and has formed great relationships with both staff and children. The environment is really fantastic and every day there is a new and engaging range of activities for the children
to get stuck into. They are always encouraged to have fun in the fresh air too, come rain or shine! Many of the adults are very creative and come up with exciting ideas! The Christmas effort was phenomenal! My son is one and in the Caterpillar's room. The staff up there are really fantastic and are so warm, fun, and nurturing. We were so grateful for the love and care they gave him when he first started and it really helped him to settle quickly and enjoy nursery life! This room also has lovely, engaging resources and a really cool roof garden outdoor area. We love hearing about the sensory opportunities and the baby discos they have!
The office staff are fabulous too!

Our daughter absolutely loved her time at Rowan Tree. Rowan Tree provided an amazing environment for our daughter to learn and grow into a confident little girl. At home time she was so happy and excited to tell us about the activities she had done with her friends and the nursery staff that day!


The

nursery staff and management were always so supportive and approachable from day one. And when we were relocating out of the area, the nursery management were really understanding and flexible which made the whole experience stress-free. Even after our daughter's last day at Rowan Tree, the nursery staff went above and beyond to help us. We can't thank the Rowan Tree staff enough!


Also, the precautions taken by Rowan Tree throughout the Covid-19 pandemic to keep the staff and children safe made us reassured and confident in sending our daughter to nursery. We would not hesitate to recommend Rowan Tree.

Our eldest son was at Rowantree for 4 years until he went to school this September and our second son just started earlier this year - both love it! Each room and associated garden space is lovely and always updated with new toys, activities and layouts to keep children well entertained and safe. The
best thing about the nursery is the excellent staff who seem to genuinely enjoy being there, the office staff are so flexible and keep the nursery running so smoothly (even through covid), the staff in every room have all been amazing - they seem to really care about our boys and cater to their different personalities and interests and have always given them lots of attention and affection, and the kitchen staff go above and beyond. Would thoroughly recommend this nursery and know of no better nursery in this area.

My daughter and my son both attend Rowan Tree Nursery and I would not have them anywhere else. I looked at many nurseries but Rowan Tree stood out head and shoulders above the rest. The nursery and staff are first class and the love and care they give my little rascals is second to none. My children
love going to nursery and I feel 100% confident that they are safe and extremely well looked after. Communication is excellent and the staff can’t do enough for the children or the parents. The staff are like my children's extended family, they all adore each other. Hardworking, dedicated and always putting the children first, I can’t recommend Rowan Tree Nursery highly enough.

My little girl went to Rowan Tree at 16 months old and although she was a little hesitant to start with, she now very much enjoys her time there. She is about to go to school in September so not many days left and I will be sorry to say goodbye to her nursery days. The staff at Rowan Tree are all exceptional
and she has really bonded with several of the staff there. The kids are lovely too. It’s a fun, clean, safe and homely atmosphere. I love the Parentzone updates that ping onto my phone on the days that she’s there that allows me to see what she’s up to along with reports on different stages of learning. There is a wide range of activity stations, lots of books and loads of things to keep the kids entertained. My little girl loves dressing up, the reading corner and painting. There’s a good outdoor section too with lots of fun things for the kids to do. She particularly likes kicking balls around, the mud kitchen, riding the bikes and climbing over the balance beams!

My daughter has attended Rowan Tree nursery since she was 9 months old and I would not hesitate in recommending this nursery to any families looking for childcare. What is your favourite feature of Rowan Tree?
My favourite features of the nursery are the roof garden for our babies and the Art Studio for our Pre-School which has been designed using the Reggio approach.


What are you most proud of about your nursery?
I am most proud of our team. We have a very highly motivated team with a low turnover and dedicated staff who have been with us for a number of years.
