Puddleducks Day Nursery is situated conveniently near to Baldock main train station with easy access to the A1. The nursery is a characteristic Grade II listed building with a car park to the rear of the premises.

Puddleducks aim is to provide all children with treasured memories of their wonderful time at nursery. They aim to promote positive outcomes for future learning but also ensure that children flourish in a safe, happy and fun environment.

The nursery has an extensive range of high-quality resources that encourage children to explore and experiment, opening their minds to new and exciting ideas.

Their dedicated and trained staff allow the children to learn in a friendly, caring and open environment. Staff provide an environment where children can learn the joy of discovery whilst feeling secure in a homely and caring atmosphere. They acknowledge that every child is unique and understand the importance of nurturing children to learn at their own pace within an environment that is caring but also rich with learning opportunities.

Puddleducks offer a range of enhanced experiences which enable children to become successful, lifelong learners including, Forest School, Yoga and Music sessions with Tiny Mites, Spanish lessons with Little Linguists, as well as a range of activities which promote your child’s well-being and confidence. Some examples of these activities are cooking, yoga and music and movement sessions.

The Nursery Chef prepares all the children’s meals fresh on the premises each day, and the menus have been designed to ensure they are nutritionally balanced, as well as delicious.

Puddleducks Day Nursery is well known and respected in the local community. The children enjoy time visiting the local amenities such as the market, nature reserve, local shops and residential home.

Both of my children attend Puddleducks in Baldock, and they absolutely love their time there. They are always so excited for nursery days, and to tell me all about what they have been doing when I collect them. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, professional and kind. The management of the nursery
are always thinking of how to develop the range of activities on offer and support the children's learning and development, as well as the training and development of all staff too. The children benefit from such a wide range of activities, topics and themes - which often form the basis for further activities at home. The nursery has been absolutely invaluable during the pandemic, providing for my children what was often their sole source of social time with others. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Puddleducks Baldock to any other parents.

We have two children at Puddleducks: one who has been attending since July 2020 (joining at 15 months old) and another who joined in September 2021 (joining at 7 months old). Puddleducks have gone out of their way to support our children's individual needs and have provided them with a supportive, loving
environment that has allowed them to grow in confidence and ability. We initially chose Puddleducks over other nurseries in the area due to the homely feel of the space and the friendliness of the staff; other nurseries felt very corporate in nature, whereas Puddleducks felt more like a family. We are very happy with our decision to send both children here and would thoroughly recommend to any parents.

We have 3 children who have all attended Puddleducks over the last few years, our youngest child is still there. We have consistently been very happy. The children do such an amazing range of activities every day and the staff are all lovely, cheerful, professional, and caring. The environment and resources

Our daughter has had a fabulous time at Puddleducks. She even gets excited driving past the building, and it’s clear she has lots of fun inside. She chatters constantly about her friends and seems to have a lovely bond with her key worker. The children have lots of activities planned for them each week
including guests from outside the nursery so they get to do lots of exciting things. A recent highlight was the policeman visiting in the police car and showing them all the buttons for the lights and sirens! She has been going here for 2 years now and the staff have helped her develop her speech, social skills and confidence by creating a warm and nurturing environment in which she has just thrived in. Thank you for all your hard work particularly through this last year with covid and continuing to keep the children happy and safe. We would highly recommend Puddleducks to anyone in the area.

My daughter started at Puddleducks at the age of 2 in September. Since starting, the staff have been supportive in helping her settle, especially as this is her first experience of being with anyone other than her family. They keep you updated regularly by phone, an app and at the door at pick up and
drop off. They are all so friendly and all know her name, which shows real care. My daughter loves her keyworker but also talks happily about other members of staff too, which I think demonstrates the effort all staff put in. She has access to lots of different activities and always gets excited about her meals too. Thanks, Puddleducks!

Puddleducks Day Nursery (Baldock) is my son's first experience of being left. He is 3 years old but due to Covid, hasn't been left over the past year. I was apprehensive about him starting. The staff have always been warm, nurturing and kind. Even in the middle of a lockdown, they would pick my son
up and cuddle him when he was unsure at the start. He settled really quickly and has made lovely friends. He loves his key workers and talks about them a lot.
I am always impressed at the range of activities on offer and how well they link to the early years frameworks.
I highly recommend Puddleducks.

We have two children attending the nursery, with our oldest starting in the baby room and now at the Preschool. The managers are knowledgeable, and the staff are caring and helpful.
Pre Covid there were regular “termly” meetings, most recently these have been regular phone calls. We receive multiple
posts on the app about the daily activities they do.
The food is varied, which the kids enjoy.
I think this is an excellent nursery, and recommend this to any parent.

My son has blossomed since joining Puddleducks, from learning to walk, understanding how to play with different toys to experiencing messy play. Everyone is friendly and professional and my son is happy every day he goes. Couldn’t recommend enough.
