Puddleducks Day Nursery (Baldock)

Fantastic nursery - lots of different activities available day by day. My child loves attending and is making good progress socially and educationally. The daycare nurses are friendly, and welcoming and give good updates each day.

All three of my children have been to Puddleducks and have thoroughly enjoyed their time there. The range of activities and the quality of care is excellent - as is the menu!

It is reassuring to know they are so well cared for and the quality of care has remained high throughout Covid restrictions. Communication with parents has continued to be effective through Tapestry. The attention and care given to continued development and learning is exceptional.

My little girl comes home buzzing and her vocabulary and confidence grows every time she spends a day with them.

My daughter has been at the nursery since ten months old after a difficult experience where she had not settled with a childminder. I was apprehensive at first as I wasn't sure how she'd settle. However, the staff were lovely and reassuring and I was confident that she was well looked after and would always be soothed when she was upset. She had a break from nursery due to Covid but the staff were great at managing her separation anxiety when she returned and within a few weeks, she was smiling at drop off.

She's now three and in the preschool part and absolutely loves it! They have a lovely variety of activities, which seem well thought out, and the staff always appear motivated and caring. There is less communication now she's in preschool than when she was younger (fewer photos of her day on the online diary, handover not with room staff etc), however, I think this is fairly typical with this age group and if I have ever wanted to know anything specific they are happy to speak on the phone.

From the point of enquiry to my baby daughter now going to Puddleducks 3 days a week, it has been a professional, easy and friendly experience. My daughter seems very happy going in the morning and beams when she sees her keyworker. Love the updates they put onto tapestry so I can see what my daughter has been up to.

An outstanding Nursery. My niece always speaks so fondly about all the exciting activities she gets up to. Her development has accelerated ever since she started at Puddleducks. I frequently recommend the nursery to friends of mine.

My daughter started going to this nursery last September 2021 and I would say I was kind of worried about how she would settle. I didn't know much about the nursery apart from a friend's recommendation. Since my friend's daughter had gone there 6 years ago, I thought that it might have changed with different staff and management. I would say, I am very happy with the nursery because my daughter, who is 2 years old, would be 3 this summer, is really happy when she is picked up from nursery and is always looking forward to going to nursery.

She has made friends at nursery and talks about her friends. She is often quiet around people even with family, but lately, when we spent Easter with family, she was very chatty and giggly, this shows that the nursery has really helped with her coming out of her shell and being comfortable being herself anywhere. The staff are so caring, compassionate and respectful to parents. I definitely recommend this nursery.

Our son has been at Puddleducks since he was 1, he is now 3 and in the pre-school. In every room he's been in he has been very well looked after. The nursery have a great range of facilities, my son particularly loves going into the garden - which is an amazing outdoor space. The staff are all so friendly, and my son cannot wait to get in every morning to see his friends. I feel perfectly happy every day knowing my son is safe and having a great time. The meals and snacks provided are healthy and nutritious, and I can see what he has eaten at the end of the day via tapestry.

Our 2-year-old loves Puddleducks! She goes charging in each morning and always chats about the teachers and her friends and what she's got up to that day. She's really enjoying yoga at the moment! It's great to know she is being well cared for, and we can see her development and learning improving every week.

I always recommend this nursery to my friends, especially with babies. They make you feel at ease, and my daughter loves attending. She doesn’t make a fuss about entering and sometimes doesn’t even say bye as she’s so eager to get to the classroom. Food is healthy, and you are kept updated on what they have been doing it’s very reassuring.

My 4-year-old and 18-month-old both attend Puddleducks and have done since they were 1. They both clearly have a lot of fun there and go in happy every morning. All the staff seem to know them by name (and my eldest seems to know all the staff). The staff are kind, friendly and helpful, they seem to genuinely care about the children.

We have been using Puddleducks for just over 5-years. Our son started when he was 9-months-old, and my daughter now attends 3-days a week. I would recommend the nursery to anyone in the local area, it is brilliant. All staff members are so caring and friendly. My eldest loves chatting with all the familiar faces when he is with me for pick up and drop off. Both my children love and loved going in each day. The food and snacks are always varied and healthy, and the activities are always fun. My daughter particularly enjoys all the time they get to spend in the garden.

Overall it is a wonderful setting and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

Puddleducks have always been brilliant, and all three of my children have loved their time there. The staff have been fantastic, and the facilities and resources are brilliant. I have recommended this nursery to many friends.

My child is attending this nursery since the age of 10-months. This is his last year as starting school in September. We had a great experience all the way through and would recommend the nursery to other parents. I find the learning the nursery provides outstanding. Language classes, yoga, and general education as well as arts and crafts. My child is really enjoying the nursery and we can see his development every day.

Puddleducks Day Nursery Baldock is such an amazing nursery. The staff are fantastic and know the children so well it’s no wonder my daughter is extremely happy there. She is learning amazing things academically and will be well prepared for school and is also being socially and emotionally nurtured. Also, the meals they receive are top-notch in fact I would like to eat there too!

Puddleducks in Baldock is a great nursery that has really helped our daughter gain both confidence and sociability. She is always enthusiastic to go to see her friends on nursery days and comes back happy and fulfilled having enjoyed the variety of activities they offer. The nursery is particularly good at varying and theming its activities, something our daughter really values.

Excellent staff that are friendly, attentive, strict with procedures and compliance but patient when explaining things.

My son simply loves being there, and we know he is safe and happy while attending the nursery. We know exactly what he does and eat throughout the day; he spends a lot of time in the large garden full of activities. There are also additional activities like yoga! Fantastic place for little ones.

My child has attended the Puddleducks nursery for almost two years in the preschool group. She's thriving in the environment, settled in very fast and has loved going in ever since. The staff is very friendly and easy to communicate with.
