Puddleducks Day Nursery (Baldock)

Our eldest daughter has been going for over two years, followed by her younger sister. Puddleducks has really helped them both grow and develop. The nursery is great at encouraging their development, a really supportive and caring place - we feel lucky to have our girls attend such a nice nursery.

Our son has attended Puddleducks since he was 11 months old (barring a break due to Covid-19) and we couldn't be happier with the standard of care he has received in that time. The facilities, especially the outside space, the wide range of activities and the kind-hearted people who work there make this nursery a wonderful place to be. It has been wonderful watching our son thrive and develop and now in the final months of preschool become so confident and sociable. The pandemic has been challenging for everyone and whilst we have found the communication a little one-sided at times, we enjoy reading the updates on Tapestry and have never doubted that the wellbeing of our son has always been a priority for the staff. We highly recommend this setting as an excellent foundation for school.

My daughter loves attending nursery, feels very welcomed by the staff and has great handovers. She has been there since 6 months old and every room at the nursery has helped her progress faster than I could imagine.

It’s a homely building with a lovely atmosphere. Nice facilities and full of toys for learning and play.

My son started with the nursery in January of this year. He has settled in phenomenally well and really does love his time spent there. The care he is given is beyond impeccable and I’m very happy we decided to send him here. I have every ounce of trust in his caregivers and want to thank them for helping us make this transition seamless!

I have been blown away by the standard of learning, care and variety of activities that this nursery provides. Coming from a previous nursery we had been very happy within the area, Puddleducks has redefined what excellence in early years childcare means for us. Our daughter's language has progressed hugely, and from a seamless and warm welcome, she has grown social skills we just haven't seen before in just two short months. It's been truly amazing.

My son has just started at Puddleducks Day Nursery and already I can tell that he feels safe and trusts his key workers. They stimulate him with an incredible variety of activities, nurture him with encouragement and cuddles and nourish him with great food. I have full confidence that he is safe and happy at all times.

Fantastic nursery, loving staff. Our little boy is learning so much and is very well cared for. The management team are very quick to reply to emails and staff update the app on a regular basis throughout the day, reassuring me that my son is happy and doing well.

Our son has been going for almost a year now and his development has come on in leaps and bounds. The staff that I’ve spoken to are all lovely and helpful, and you can just tell the kids all love being there. He started off crying when we dropped him off, but now he skips in the door with a big smile on his face. The building itself is gorgeous and quirky, and the location is perfect! No nursery is perfect, but I don’t feel that their negatives are enough to warrant a bad review or subtract any points/stars. Overall, very happy with Puddleducks.

They always have new and interesting activities for the children to take part in and they learn so much from being there as well as having lots of fun and making lasting friendships.

Our 2-year-old daughter attends Puddleducks and loves it! We also sent our eldest to the nursery and she not only enjoyed her time there, but her development flourished and it set her up perfectly for school. The staff and management team are fantastic, and I would not hesitate in recommending Puddleducks.

Our eldest joined Puddleducks as a Duckling and she is now in pre-school and our youngest is currently in Ducklings. We have been thoroughly impressed with Puddleducks and the staff always makes you feel welcome. Our children really enjoy going to Puddleducks and the range of activities available is really good. The meals are healthy and varied as are the snacks. The outdoor space for them to play in is also really good and the fact that yoga, woodwork, French lessons etc are available is amazing. Both our children are thriving at Puddleducks.

My grandchild enjoys a variety of activities, including dressing up for Red Nose Day and wearing an Easter bonnet. The lunches sound interesting and offer a variety of meals each month. The staff are very welcoming to each child as they arrive. The baby ducklings have arrived today, so the children will be able to watch them grow, eat and paddle on water.

Puddleducks staff have always ensured that our daughter is cared for in the most caring and creative environment. Always planning days full of packed activities, our daughter loves coming to nursery.

Our daughter has been going to Puddleducks for just over a year and loves her time there. I never worry about drop off as she is so happy to go in and see her friends and the wonderfully engaged staff. They are brilliant at putting on a range of activities for the children and there is a great outside space.

My daughter recently started nursery at Puddleducks back in March. She has had such a lovely time and settled in very well. She enjoys going to all the activities. She gets excited to see all the staff when I drop her off.

We liked Puddleduck from the first visit. The location, the culture and teachers/carers made a very good, professional and very kind and caring impression on us. We also love the food menu, the interior and all the toys/equipment. We saw that it was designed to be a sensory class every day. My daughter started Puddleducks when she was one. She is our first child and it was very worrying for us to party with her for the whole day.

Her sleeps and her whole routine were still setting up when she started the nursery, so we had great advice from the nursery too. Once she started, we were surprised how much progress she made in a very short time, and still does. Most importantly, she enjoys the nursery from the very beginning. I personally appreciate a personal attitude to her and toward us from the teachers and am impressed by the nursery app that lets us monitor her activities and her whole routine every day. My daughter and both of us - her parents are very happy with Puddleducks and would strongly recommend it.

Amazing team, great educational facilities. Extremely helpful. Great variety of activities. Supportive network. Clean and very safe environment. Fantastic learning opportunities.

They are always accommodating and have provided a bit of normality for our daughter during Covid. The staff are always so happy and friendly. Our daughter is always happy and excited to go in the mornings.

It’s nice to see what’s happening through the tapestry portal and love the pictures and videos.

Our son loves attending Puddleducks and it's been really wonderful watching his confidence and growth since he started there. He has been in two rooms so far and both have been brilliant for him.
