Puddleducks Day Nursery (Baldock)

Our son has been attending Puddleducks since he was one. He started there after having spent a large amount of time at home due to the Covid pandemic, so was obviously anxious about being in a new environment. The team couldn't have been kinder or more supportive, helping our little boy settle in, getting him familiar with the nursery, and helping him form a bond with the other children. The range of activities, whether outside plays, crafting, storytime or yoga, they offer is incredible. It's helping our son's development and giving him varied experiences to build his confidence and broaden his horizons. He arrives at nursery with a smile on his face and leaves a very happy chap. The nursery staff are all very warm and friendly and have been supportive in encouraging our son's speech. He receives the best care, and we know he's in safe hands with them. He will be going up to the pre-school class this year, and we are excited to see his journey continue at Puddleducks.

The children do some wonderful activities at Puddleducks and always come home incredibly happy. We know they will be well cared for throughout the day and will be stimulated, challenged and encouraged in their learning. The staff know the children very well and always give thorough feedback at the end of the day.

My child is very happy at the nursery. The staff are kind and caring. The range of activities is excellent. My son loves the yoga! Good daily updates from the staff. Staff respond quickly to my emails. I would definitely recommend.

All the staff are very friendly and know what happens during your child’s day. Little one always comes home happy and looks forward to it. Haven’t really had a problem yet. All their activities seem very interactive.

Any communication with home is extremely positive and they are very supportive with all milestones, including sleep, dietary, and potty training. I recommend Puddleducks to anyone with a young child.

My son is 14 months, and this is his first nursery experience. He has only been there for a few weeks, for a couple of mornings a week, and already he seems so settled. The team are attentive and friendly, and I know he has a lot of fun, as he "chats" away in the back of the car on our way home. He comes out smiling and relaxed, which is a testament to the staff at Puddleducks - Thank You!

Our son has been at Puddleducks for a year. He goes in happy and excited every day, just mentioning the names of some of the people who work there and his friends is enough to get him out of the house and on his way. The staff are friendly, they do a lot of activities and the meals sound amazing. We’re really happy with him being there.

My daughter is very happy at Puddleducks Day Nursery. She loves the variety of activities indoors and outdoors and is very well cared for. All the staff are friendly, approachable and professional. The management also answers queries in a timely and efficient fashion. The meals are varied, healthy and always sound delicious!

It’s safe to say our children are in good hands at Puddleducks. It’s a nourishing environment where they are treated with care and respect, supported throughout their development stages from curious babies to confident preschoolers. The communication between parents and carers is easy and efficient but no words or reports are better and more reassuring than a happy and smiley child coming out of nursery in the evenings

Our son has been at Puddleducks since he was one. He’s now four and will be going to school this year and I believe will be very well prepared thanks to the team. In every room, he’s been very well looked after. He’s really got on with his key workers throughout, who seem to form a bond with the children and it doesn’t seem like just a job to them.

The range of activities is brilliant and the children are stretched to develop and learn in a fun way at each stage. Although he’s one of the older children he’s learning phonics and numbers /maths in a way that should stand him in good stead. They make it such fun to learn.

Recently the team have helped us tackle his behaviour since his baby brother was born and we’ve really appreciated the support.

A chance to sit in a police car, see a tractor in the car park, and see ducklings and chicks hatch have been some of the highlights I’ve certainly enjoyed hearing about!

My child has been attending Puddleducks nursery for 3.5 years and has received outstanding care there. The staff and facilities are great, management are kind and responsive and the children always have lots of fun! I can’t recommend it enough.

Our Daughter started at the nursery 6 months ago when she turned 1, and the care has been amazing. We get regular updates throughout the day of what she has eaten, slept and needed changing. They have a varied menu that exposes her to more food than we usually cook at home. The staff have been very kind, easy to talk to and honest about everything that she does and the mischief that she gets into, and have always responded quickly to our questions. We can't recommend this nursery more.

Puddleducks is a fantastic nursery offering a wide range of learning activities, healthy meals and snacks, a lovely outdoor area and an easy to access location. My son has attended since he was 6 months old and has attended for two years so far. He enjoys his days at the nursery and often talks about what he has been up to with his friends, and speaks happily about the staff. He particularly enjoys the “Yoga Mites” sessions offered.

I enjoy reading updates to the Tapestry app to see how his day has been and see some of the lovely shared pictures.

It is worth noting that the nursery remained open throughout the pandemic with careful risk management and processes in place. I never felt like my son was at additional risk by attending, and as a result, he hasn’t missed out on socialisation and learning experiences.

My son started nursery in January and we couldn’t have made a better choice for him! He thoroughly enjoyed his settling in day and we left feeling very confident and extremely excited for him to start. He is now 3 months in and has settled in so well and truly enjoys everyday he spends there. He smiles all the way to the front door! A huge credit goes out to the staff! Thank you for providing the best care to my son!

We have always found the staff are friendly and approachable. I feel confident that my son is well cared for and enjoys his time at Puddleducks.

Puddleducks staff has been very supportive of our family, whether it has been helping with toilet training or dietary requirements, and always show kindness.

My daughter started going to Puddleducks about 4 weeks ago now and we have been so impressed with how quickly she has settled in and how happy she is. On her settling-in days, the nursery had clearly thought about and planned for her arrival, and arranged things so that she didn't feel too overwhelmed. Every day clearly a lot of thought goes into the activities for the children and she has done more there in 4 weeks than I think she did in 1 year at our previous nursery.

They paint, draw, do yoga, have themed book weeks, do bear hunts in the garden, plant flowers - the list goes on. I love all the regular photos throughout the week and the care diary is carefully filled out every day without fail. Her speech and language has improved dramatically as well. When her dad took her in this morning she apparently saw her friends and did an excited stamping of feet and ran in. What more could you ask for?!
