In general, a fun and professional environment. Prompt response to any queries. They teach children well for independence and prepare them for school. They encourage exercise and outdoor activities. My child is happy here and has developed good social skills and confidence. Would recommend the nursery
to anyone.

My daughter started going to Boys and Girls when she was 1 year and 8 months. As parents, what we see is the happy smiling face everyday in the evening when we come to pick her up. That summarises all the care and effort put in to ensure she has a good day.

Boys and Girls Nursery Watford have been a great nursery for my little girl. The transition from at home mummy to going back to work has been stress free with support and care Boys and Girls have provided for my daughter. My daughter bounds in every day excited to see staff and children and she is developing
into a lovely little girl with little added developmental stages that she has picked up at nursery. Some days she just doesn't want to come home.

My daughter has started going to Boys and Girls Nursery two years ago. We are both Polish and when she started the nursery her English was very poor. Now I can tell it is much better than mine only within 2 years, so I'm very proud of her and grateful to amazing and friendly staff. They also know exactly
how to play with children and teach at the same time.

I found this nursery very close to home and have really healthy food menu, then decided to book an appointment to visit. But I wasn't expecting that it is such perfect one for my daughter until I visited there. The Ofsted report shows they are 'Good' rating, but from what I have seen so far, they are
way better than many nurseries and childminders that I had visited, even an 'Outstanding' rating. Their staff are so nice and helpful for us. Most important for us is our daughter enjoys to be in Boys & Girls and loves everyone there. So we strongly recommend this nursery to others.

My son enjoys being at Boys and Girls Nursery. He is well taken care of and they provide fun activities to keep him entertained and occupied. He especially loves Jo Jingles. I would recommend Boys and Girls as it it well run, the staff are very friendly and approachable and the food they provide
at lunchtime is delicious.

Current Review Score: 9.3 (9.326)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.3 (9.326) out of 10 for Boys & Girls Nursery Watford is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 10 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.6 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.700 for Boys & Girls Nursery Watford is calculated as follows: ( (104 Excellents x 5) + (4 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) + (8 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 120 Ratings = 4.7
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.626 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Boys & Girls Nursery Watford is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 62 number of registered child places is 12.4. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 12.4 = 0.726
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
