Co-op Childcare Watford South Oxhey is hidden away in the heart of South Oxhey and their nursery provides a safe and nurturing environment.

Their ParentZone app keeps mums and dads informed about life at nursery with things like photos from their day, assessments, meals eaten and even toilet training progress! They are big on safety which is why ALL their staff are paediatric first aid trained.

They are Green eco schools accredited, a programme that sees children lead the way in making little changes that deliver big environmental differences. They are big on happy children which is why they have areas for growing food (and eating it), regular visits to local care homes and take care of each other and the world.

They have 5 Little pioneers who help share their core values with children such as encouraging them to be independent to making a difference in the world.

At Co-op Childcare Watford South Oxhey there are 3 rooms within the nursery split into the following age groups: one room for 3 months – 20 months, one room for 20 months - 3 year olds and one room for the 3-5 year olds. The nursery has its own garden area which has a separate area for the 3-20 month olds, allowing the younger children to access the outdoor areas whenever they want to. The garden has a protective canopy so that the children can access the outdoors whatever the weather.

The setting had its last Ofsted inspection in January 2023 where it was graded Outstanding.

The staff are always so helpful and happy. My son was made to feel incredibly welcome when he joined and the team are great with him. Anytime I call or email for an update or query I am replied to almost immediately. The nursery is lovely and the food menu is great and diverse. I am very glad we found
this nursery for our son.

My daughter has attended this nursery since April 2018, and my husband and I love it, as does our daughter. Currently, she attends two mornings (we all wish it could be more), and although she is only there for two mornings she has built some wonderful relationships with the staff and the other children.
The
staff are completely wonderful, and want to do the best for each child.
We would always recommend this nursery!

The nursery and its staff are great! Very warm, welcoming and friendly. We’re jealous of some of the lunches he has too! Love the fact they do some trips to the local library and park etc, would highly recommend to others.

I had two children attend the nursery and I have always been satisfied that I made the right choice. The team is the real asset of the nursery from manager to nursery staff, chef and cleaning lady, all trying their best to give the children the best experience possible. The most important criteria for
me is that at a young age my children’s needs are cared for, whether that’s a cuddle, a good nap, a good lunch, some fun play or learning something new. I also appreciate that if there is something you are concerned with, management and staff take it seriously and will try their best to sort it out swiftly. The nursery is in need of a refurbishment and in places, it looks dated. I’m told this is to happen soon and I’m sure it will make this nursery even better. There is a good mix of children from different backgrounds and I enjoy seeing them growing up and developing. The parent app is great too, as it keeps you updated on those important details, like eating and sleeping during the day.

The Co-operative nursery in South Oxhey is the best we have come across. The children are really well looked after and we found all staff professional but very warm. There is a real family atmosphere and our little boy loves all the ladies working there. It’s such a weight off your shoulders when you

I couldn’t recommend this nursery enough! The staff are so lovely, professional, accommodating and understanding to not only my daughters needs and wants but those of mine as a parent.
My daughter can’t wait to get to nursery, she has lots of fun there and her confidence has excelled since starting.
As a parent, I have watched her grow and develop so much in the space of a year from attending the nursery. This helped take away the stress and worry of leaving her in someone else’s care as I know she is safe, well looked after and happy!

Our daughter has been attending the nursery for the last 4 months since she was 1 year old. She is having a great time at the nursery and has learned many skills. There are lots of activities and a variety of food for her to try. The nursery staff are just amazing. I really like the updates from their
app as well, where you can see if she had a sleep or how much and what kind of food she had that day. There is occasionally a cute picture of her doing some activities as well. I am really glad that I found this nursery and having peace of mind knowing that she is cared for and developing new skills when I am at work.

My son started nursery when he was just a year old and loved it. He had no problem settling in and made friends so easily. The staff are so lovely and very professional. This nursery is lovely, both of my younger children attended from before they were 1 to pre school full time and they loved every minute of it. We were always kept informed about everything by the friendly staff, and there is a wide range of activities that the children participate in. We will be sad
