Co-op Childcare Watford South Oxhey is hidden away in the heart of South Oxhey and their nursery provides a safe and nurturing environment.

Their ParentZone app keeps mums and dads informed about life at nursery with things like photos from their day, assessments, meals eaten and even toilet training progress! They are big on safety which is why ALL their staff are paediatric first aid trained.

They are Green eco schools accredited, a programme that sees children lead the way in making little changes that deliver big environmental differences. They are big on happy children which is why they have areas for growing food (and eating it), regular visits to local care homes and take care of each other and the world.

They have 5 Little pioneers who help share their core values with children such as encouraging them to be independent to making a difference in the world.

At Co-op Childcare Watford South Oxhey there are 3 rooms within the nursery split into the following age groups: one room for 3 months – 20 months, one room for 20 months - 3 year olds and one room for the 3-5 year olds. The nursery has its own garden area which has a separate area for the 3-20 month olds, allowing the younger children to access the outdoor areas whenever they want to. The garden has a protective canopy so that the children can access the outdoors whatever the weather.

My eldest daughter attended this nursery from the age of 2 until she left and went to school to enter her reception year. When we drop my youngest daughter off in the mornings, she still enjoys being able to see all her teachers and always comments on her fond memories from being at nursery. She still
misses it very much even though she has settled in at her new school and is still requesting that she wants to go back to nursery!


My youngest daughter loves the nursery and all the staff. They all create a connection and bond with the children, which makes it so much better when leaving them for the day. When dropping her off in the morning she is off straight away and can't wait to go play and have breakfast... When picking her up she is always indulged in play and smiling away! You can tell she has had a fantastic day!


This nursery is one of the best choices that I have made for my children.

Both our boys have been attending the nursery since they were 9m and 3yrs respectively. We have been impressed with the kind and caring staff who go out of their way to make sure the children are happy and well looked after. Would not hesitate to recommend this nursery.

Co-op south Cxhey Nursery have looked after our daughter on a full -time basis for nearly 3 years since she was 9 months old. Excellent staffing, very caring to kids. She has loved every moment and every carer she has had throughout that time.
They have helped tremendously build her confidence and
in other areas and skills and we are hugely grateful for the efforts of all staff. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. She will really miss everybody in the nursery.

Fantastic nursery staff and the best care for my little boy I could ask for.


My son loved going to nursery every day and was looked after with the best care from from all the staff .


I would always recommend them to anyone that needed a nursery.

I took my seven year old son to this nursery 6 years ago, he stayed with them for 4 years. It can be very scary for a first time mum leaving their child to strangers but Co-operative has no strangers it has a professional management team, qualified, friendly and more caring team.
In May 2015 I then
took my second child who has really developed well, within a very safe and secure environment. I would like to say that the team there are outstanding and led very well.

This is a very good pre-school, one of very few that caters for working mums that do a full day which is very helpful. The only down side is the cost as I probably earn the same amount a day at work as what I pay the school a day.
