Co-op Childcare Watford South Oxhey is hidden away in the heart of South Oxhey and their nursery provides a safe and nurturing environment.

Their ParentZone app keeps mums and dads informed about life at nursery with things like photos from their day, assessments, meals eaten and even toilet training progress! They are big on safety which is why ALL their staff are paediatric first aid trained.

They are Green eco schools accredited, a programme that sees children lead the way in making little changes that deliver big environmental differences. They are big on happy children which is why they have areas for growing food (and eating it), regular visits to local care homes and take care of each other and the world.

They have 5 Little pioneers who help share their core values with children such as encouraging them to be independent to making a difference in the world.

At Co-op Childcare Watford South Oxhey there are 3 rooms within the nursery split into the following age groups: one room for 3 months – 20 months, one room for 20 months - 3 year olds and one room for the 3-5 year olds. The nursery has its own garden area which has a separate area for the 3-20 month olds, allowing the younger children to access the outdoor areas whenever they want to. The garden has a protective canopy so that the children can access the outdoors whatever the weather.

The setting had its last Ofsted inspection in January 2023 where it was graded Outstanding.

My child thoroughly enjoys nursery and although he comes home with sand in his pockets and goes through many changes of clothes. I know it is because he is having such a fun time there!

My son has been going to the nursery for almost 3 years. The nursery is outstanding in many respects. The nursery nurses are caring and skilled. They have encouraged and nurtured my little boy, he is always very excited on nursery days. The management team are fantastic always keeping us updated via
newsletters or the nurseries social media page. My son knows the cook at the nursery on a first name basis, the produce is fresh, I love seeing the pineapples and other fresh fruit and veg stacked outside the nursery kitchen. The nursery is wonderful and it comes well recommended by me and my husband and I will be sending my baby there in due course

I couldn't be happier sending my son to this Nursery. He started in the Ladybird room and is now in Butterflies. I am lucky to have had fantastic key workers for him in both rooms who he has a great a relationship and bond with. This is extremely comforting to me as a parent who has to work full time.
I also would like to mention how family orientated this nursery is, always doing events such as Mother's Day tea party. I have friends whose children go to another nursery who do not offer events involving parents. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.

Lovely staff, feel like my son is very well looked after. He loves all the staff there. The management is bit ruthless on processes and paperwork but it's all to protect the kids so ok with that. Learning alphabet, writing, numbers could be encouraged more. But otherwise a lovely setting. My
older daughter also went to this nursery and she has lots of fond memories and still remembers a lot of the staff.

Great nursery which my son really enjoys attending. Staff really form a bond with the children and take pride in seeing and helping them develop. I have 3 children who have attended\attend this nursery and am about to put through our forth. I like the structure to the day the fact that they get time inside and outside of the building. The food is all freshly prepared onsite and very healthy which is also very reassuring. The key workers who
look after my boys are lovely and seem to know their characters very well. I feel that when we leave them they are very well looked after with all needs taken care of. I am confident that the staff take great interest in the children to know if they are feeling unwell and am confident that they will contact me if necessary.

A really lovely nursery. My son attended for over a year. The staff were friendly and attentive and really created a bond with my child. He only left the nursery because we moved but I would have loved him to continue there until he started school.

My son enjoys his time at the nursery and his development has definitely come on leaps and bounds since starting, especially his language. He eats all the food provided so he obviously enjoys it.
His key person knows his individual needs well as do the rest of the staff in his room.
I get regular
reports and parents evenings to attend.
I am very happy with the whole nursery and all the hard work that I see weekly going into the care and development of my son.

My daughter has been attending this nursery since November 2014, I viewed around 8 different nurseries and wasn't impressed with any of them until I visited this nursery on one of their open days. From the moment I viewed the nursery I knew it was the one for me.


I am so happy with the nursery I

registered my second daughter before she was born.


My little girl is always happy when I collect her and she tells me all about her busy day. I feel well informed about her day by the staff upon collection and I have complete confidence that she is well cared for.


I always recommend this nursery to friends and family when they say they are looking for one.
