Bright Horizons Potten End Day Nursery and Preschool (formerly Muddy Puddles Day Nursery and Preschool) is located in a picturesque location between Berkhamstead and Hemel Hempstead in Potten End, committed to providing premium childcare for children aged three months to five years. Dedicated staff will cherish and nurture your child, encouraging them to develop friendships, independence, curiosity and, most importantly of all, to have fun.

Additional equipment and resources within four, age-appropriate rooms are aimed at extending and supporting the key areas defined in the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Messy play, painting, glueing, mark-making, baking, stories, construction, threading, imaginative play and dressing up are amongst the indoor activities which are all enjoyed across the nursery on a regular basis along with singing, music and dancing which are supported on a weekly basis by their external partners Jelly Babies, Jelly Beans and Tiny Mites.

Mealtimes at Potten End Day Nursery and Preschool are a happy, social occasion for children and staff alike. All the food is prepared and cooked daily on-site by the nursery chef and offers a healthy, balanced diet as well as meeting individual needs and preference.

We've been really pleased with the staff and facilities at Potten End Bright Horizons. The staff are great and so committed. They do loads of engaging activities with the children and really encourage them to learn in their own individual ways. The food seems nutritious and delicious - our son eats
so well when he's there. They've recently renovated the outdoor play area for his room and it looks really lovely. Lots of outdoor play when the weather allows and they even did a trip to the pumpkin patch at Halloween! Updates and photos are good.

The staff are amazing-so kind, patient, and always willing to listen. It's clear they genuinely care about the children and work hard to create a supportive, happy environment. One of our favourite things about the nursery is the fantastic outdoor space. There are plenty of opportunities for the children
to go on walks and enjoy time outside, which our child absolutely loves. We've seen such positive growth and happiness since joining, and would highly recommend.

Our daughter has been at the nursery for 6 months now and has been in both the baby room and toddler room in that time. She absolutely loves it, they do so many activities with the children and the setting, grounds and outdoor space is such a big plus. Knowing my daughter is enjoying the outdoors everyday
is brilliant. She loves the food and the staff, it's a really friendly environment and the care is amazing. The app is also brilliant at keeping us updated during the day. Highly recommend!

All staff around the nursery are fantastic and very friendly. My baby is always so happy to go in to his key person and other staff members in the room.
They provide great activities and new opportunities for him to explore. The nursery has great outside space for all rooms and can be outside a lot.

A fantastic nursery! My son absolutely loves his nursery days and I feel very confident leaving him in the capable hands of the staff. My son’s development has come so far since going to Potten End Bright Horizons and it has been great to see him make friendships. I also love that he gets a wide variety
of home-cooked food. The staff are all wonderful and caring and I love hearing all of the updates at pickup or via the app. An extremely positive experience.

Caring staff and a great setting for the children to roam - they get outdoors regularly with the staff. The nursery app is very helpful and provides an extra communication channel for updates about nutrition and development.

Potten End Day Nursery and Preschool is exceptional.
The staff are fantastic. There is such a positive energy when interacting with any staff member.
They support each child's needs and help them to explore all aspects of their social and learning development.
The setting is beautiful. Surrounded

My child loves coming to this nursery, the staff at Potten End are friendly and engaging. They are also very clear about what’s happened every day and provide excellent updates via the app about activities, nutrition and the all-important sleep schedule.

Wonderful staff, brilliant children’s setting. Our children love it here. Especially in the middle of the countryside.

The staff here are amazing. I couldn’t be more happy with the care they have given both my children. The learning and support that they have given all our family has been exemplary. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the nursery at all.

Varied experience for children, friendly and caring staff and lovely setting. Wouldn’t hesitate to send another child here, our second already! Both have really enjoyed their experiences so far and set our first up for school brilliantly.

My daughter is 3 years old and has been attending the nursery since she was 10 months. She has absolutely loved being at the nursery through all the stages and has really developed amazingly. We moved over from another setting and never looked back, great, attentive staff and facilities, always willing to help and adored by both my kids. In preschool in particular, I’ve seen both my children develop brilliantly.
Only negative feedback which I think is being resolved is that the current
staff need more help!

My daughter really enjoys attending Potten End Bright Horizons. She is full-time (5 days, 8 am - 6 pm) and really enjoys it. Currently 2 and a half years old, she has been there since 11 months old - and has always had brilliant key workers and support staff. The nursery has really encouraged her learning
and development (most recently phonetics) and she was able to complete her potty training with them as well. I would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a nursery to send their little one to.
