My son loves coming here. He is so excited every morning when we arrive. His progress has been fantastic and he is gaining more confidence. The parent's room is a lovely touch and can make all the difference on a hectic morning. The staff are always so friendly polite and happy. It was definitely the
right decision to send my son here and I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.

We have only been at the nursery since February 2019 where our twins started in the Starfish room.
We were offered a stay and play before we began our settling in sessions and straight away they made us feel at ease about leaving our precious girls.
Leaving the girls at first was really hard but
we trusted the girls would update us and keep us informed on the girls' progress and they kept their word.
We are due to be moving up to the next room next month and have every faith the transition will go smoothly and we have already been given the girls keyworkers who have already spoken to us.
We are very happy at the nursery and would recommend it to anyone.

My son has been at the nursery since he was a baby and he is now in the pre-school room. The staff are extremely attentive and know him very, very well. The nursery is introducing a brand new foundation stage classroom this month which the children are excited about and we can't wait to see what more
the nursery can offer the children.

My little boy adores the staff here and I feel very comfortable leaving him in their care. They are so attentive and support a range of great activities especially outdoors.
They are so thorough with the feedback each and every day. They support his learning style and adapt to help him develop his
language and skills.

We love Busy Bees almost as much our kids do! The standard of care throughout is excellent and their investment in the children’s learning has always impressed us, as has the staff’s creativity. The staff are all friendly, very helpful and clearly have genuine affection for the children. We have no
hesitation in recommending Busy Bees at Letchworth very highly.

We have been extremely happy with the care our son receives at Busy Bees and he loves it here. He has attended for a little over two years.

The staff are friendly, enthusiastic and professional. Our son has had excellent relationships with his key workers, who have been very caring and nurturing

towards him. The baby room helped us enormously when my son first attended because he struggled with bottle feeding and they were so patient and supportive.

We are informed about every aspect of his day, including meals, activities, sleep etc. The parents evenings with his key workers have been very informative and we have been impressed by the wide range of development activities to support his learning.

The many books and toys have kept our son entertained. Every day is exciting for him and he has made lots of friendships, which is lovely to see.

The food is varied and healthy and my son's allergies are well managed.

The management is great, very hands-on and always welcoming.

My daughter has been attending the nursery since late summer last year. After a couple of weeks of feeling unsettled, my daughter is now very happy. The nursery offers extracurricular sport and French sessions for pre-schoolers which my daughter thoroughly enjoys. I am pleased to see the arrival of
the new manager, I have seen some positive improvements so far. Communication has improved greatly and I like that the parents receive regular news from nursery management. I look forward to the coming months to see what else changes at the nursery.

I have been so happy with this nursery! Going from being able to stay at home and look after my children, to having to adjust to studying a full-time degree, this nursery has given me the confidence and reassurance in knowing that my daughter is looked after well.
My daughter's key worker has been
amazing in every way possible and could not have asked for better. She shows passion for the job she does. The new nursery manager is warm and caring with again, a strong passion for the children and their environment and has most recently made positive changes which have certainly been noticed. I look forward to seeing what else he brings the setting.

I would recommend this nursery to any new mum's who like me, wanted only the best day nursery. Busy Bees is a warm, welcoming and well-structured setting. The team in which my daughter is with currently, all work hard to ensure my daughter is happy and have updated me throughout the day to let me know she is OK.

Keep the amazing work up!

Busy Bees is a wonderful nursery with dedicated and caring staff. As any first time parent returning to work, I was nervous about leaving our little one for the first time but all the staff at Busy Bees at Letchworth have made the transition really smooth and our little boy is thriving.

My son has been attending Busy bees letchworth over the last year. I have to say its an outstanding Nursery, I couldn't ask for more. My son loves going and really enjoys it. The activities the staff organise are varied and fun. There is lots of outdoor play, with the outdoor area being great with lots
of different areas. The staff are all very friendly and extremely good with children.
The food is cooked by chefs onsite which means my son eats very well! This is an outstanding nursery with a new manager which seems totally dedicated to making it even better.

Really lovely staff who care about children. Lots of activities and the place has really smartened up since this manager had started leading the team.
The Parent Zone app updates you during the day about your child, which is good. Everybody is celebrated and looked after well.

My child is very happy at Busy Bees, he has bonded closely with a number of the staff and in return they genuinely seem happy to see him and spend time with him. He enjoys spending time with other children and developing his social skills which is encouraged by the nursery.
My child enjoys the varied
food options and loves the many activities provided by the staff. Overall this is a great place for developing young minds to grow in a safe, happy place.
Also the early start and later finish is extremely helpful for two parents, both in full time work.

My son has attended this Busy Bees full time for the last year and a half and we have had a wonderful experience so far.
We are very happy with his time at Busy Bees and his two key workers he has had over this period have been incredible. They go above and beyond.
I feel like whenever I pick my
son up I can have an honest chat with all the staff there and they are always reassuring and informative.
I genuinely couldn’t ask for more from this nursery.

My daughter absolutely loves going to nursery and her key worker and all the staff are brilliant. They really care about the kids and how they are developing. We have recently started potty training and our little girls key worker and all the girls in her room have been wonderfully supportive and helped
the process along.
My little girl gets to explore lots of different things and is learning so much, I love hearing all about it when we pick her up.
The manager is really friendly and is there most mornings to greet you with 'good morning'. I would highly recommend this nursery, I never have to worry leaving my daughter here to go to work, which makes being a working mum a little bit easier.

I am very impressed and pleased with the way the nursery has looked after my daughter since she started there 9 months ago.
The range of activities really engage her and have helped her discover new skills. The layout of the nursery creates a bright atmosphere and the garden is green and open, it’s
easy to forget it’s in the middle of the town.
The most positive aspect of the nursery for me has been the staff, they all say hello and know my daughter by name. Her key worker really understands her character and needs and knows how to support and care for her to ensure she is happy and engaged. There is definitely a very homely feel to the nursery.
The food is also excellent and the staff are amazing at helping my daughter try new and different foods which she finds challenging.

My son found it hard to settle initially and his key worker at each stage went above and beyond, making him feel welcome and secure. Communication with parents is great and they really help with issues/key learnings that have been going on at home. For example, my son has really had problems sleeping
and his key worker continued the positive reinforcement behaviours and rewards that we were using at home to address this.

Current Review Score: 8.3 (8.338)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.3 (8.338) out of 10 for Busy Bees Letchworth is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 3 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.4 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.944 for Busy Bees Letchworth is calculated as follows: ( (34 Excellents x 5) + (2 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 36 Ratings = 4.944
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.394 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Letchworth is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.25
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 104 number of registered child places is 20.8. 3 Positive Reviews ÷ 20.8 = 0.144
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
