The House that Jack Built Nursery is located in Watford. Qualified and experienced staff provide care for children aged six months to five years.

The baby room focuses on sensory experience for very young children, with features such as a bubble wall, a soft play area and in the garden, a grass tunnel, a Wendy house and slides. There are regular sports and education sessions to help children develop mentally and physically. The toddler room builds on this with a bubble tube and an area dedicated to puzzles and construction. It also adds to the children’s sport and education sessions with additional weekly Spanish lessons. The pre-schoolers’ rooms have a garden and more educational resources to develop maths, literacy and social skills.

Parents are involved with their child’s care and invited to attend monthly parent meetings. Food is prepared onsite using fresh ingredients to provide nutritionally balanced meals. Parents can speak to staff about any dietary needs their child may have.

My daughter started in September and we have been nothing but pleased with the whole experience. They do so many activities with the kids, her speaking has come on so much since being at the nursery. The staff are nothing but kind, helpful, very professional and really understanding. My daughter loves
coming to nursery, we will definitely be sending our second child here.

My husband and I did a lot of research into the nursery before we sent our son. I can truly say the nursery is way above our expectations. The team are amazing and show so much care and support which is so important. I have seen such a massive change in my son's development and can't thank them enough
for the amazing support they have provided so far. The facilities and resources are excellent. I highly recommend the nursery.

Our son started at The House That Jack Built Nursery in September 2022 when he was 19 months. We are so happy he went - he has grown in confidence, become independent in many aspects and learnt much more than we would have expected in the short amount of time that he has been attending. Most importantly,
he really enjoyed it and looks forward to going - he asks about staff members on the days he is not attending nursery which is lovely! They are in a brilliant setting and get lots of outdoor time too. Would really recommend The House That Jack Built Nursery!

After a great experience with our first child, we could not think of a better place to send our second child. Their friendly nature, commitment and professionalism are shown in everything they do. From the first thing in the morning when our child waits patiently on her daily adventures to pick up time,
you know she had a great day. We have daily updates on what she is doing and we know we can approach any member of staff if there is a query. It's easy to see why this is the best nursery because just standing in the queue waiting, every child comes out full of joy.

Our daughter started at The House That Jack Built Nursery in May 2022 and she has come along leaps and bounds since being there. She absolutely loves going to nursery there. They do daily activities and different themes each month. All of the staff are so lovely and attentive, nothing is too big or
too small for them. The communication we receive from the nursery is above and beyond. The nursery uses an app to track little one's food, sleep, nappies and observations, you can also add your own observations, so everything is in one place and can be accessed at any time. All food is freshly prepared on-site and the menu is distributed weekly so you know exactly what little one is eating. The nursery has open space play areas for the children and they regularly go on walks. What more could you ask for!

The House That Jack Built is a welcoming and friendly nursery ran by an amazing team. With two kids, a house move and covid, we've experienced a few nurseries and this is by far the best. The team are so kind, caring and understanding and we trust them completely. Our daughter is always happy to go

My son attended this nursery just before the second lockdown, naturally, his social development was vastly affected by the first lockdown, however, the nursery welcomed him and picked up on his needs. Excellent communication for us as deaf parents using the app messages system, updating us of his progress,
tailored to his specific development needs. Recently, supporting my son’s needs for target development. Referral to Speech and Language Therapist too. Whenever he’s upset, they always give him cuddles for comfort which is important for him and his needs. I can honestly say these staff are amazing, despite going through tough times last year and kept their level of care up to the highest standards. Policies are always being reviewed on a regular basis. Being a critical Keyworker myself, I have every confidence in leaving my son in their care.

We couldn’t ask for any more from this amazing team. We love sending our daughter to this nursery and she absolutely loves going there too. The team spend so much time planning activities that are fun for the little ones but also aimed at developing their skills. The staff are all friendly and welcoming

We have two children at this nursery and they both love it there. As parents it is so important to feel they are cared for, well looked after and their developing personalities nurtured. This is exactly what they get from The House That Jack Built Nursery nursery. All the staff are enthusiastic, kind,
and connect so well with the children. The activities the children take part in are fun and interesting, and they always come home telling us stories of how much they have enjoyed their day. We are kept constantly updated throughout the day on what they are doing and are given good feedback on their development progress both through daily messages and also more detailed reports and consultations. We've been at this nursery for just over a year now and I can honestly say we have had a wonderful experience here! Our little one absolutely loves going to the nursery every day. The facilities and range of activities provided for the children are way beyond what we've experienced at other nurseries.
The progress we've seen our little one make over the past year has been brilliant and he loves showing us what he has learned every day. The communication between the staff and parents is great, we always know what our little one has done every day and what's going on generally at the nursery. Where we've had a couple of issues and raised them with management, they have responded quickly and comprehensively and followed through on what they say they'll due to address it, meaning we have confidence in them to safely care for our child. You can tell the staff genuinely care for the children and are ever so patient and kind. We highly recommend this nursery!

The staff at the nursery are really engaging with all their needs - my son has a huge imagination and they always play along. The set-up and outdoor play areas are constantly updating and rotating toys and additional classes that the kids love. One of the most recent ones is yoga, this has really helped
calm my son down and helped him learn to breath and take his time. They also take time to help you when things don’t go quite right, as kids act out and when big changes like moving home happens, they help and work with them to reassure worries so that they get a consistent home/nursery approach which makes all the difference.

What a lovely place for our daughter to spend her days at nursery. The staff are so committed to doing their best for the children, the leadership are really understanding of the things that matter for parents and children alike. Despite really big challenges with covid and staffing (like every nursery
around here), they have maintained a happy and caring environment full of fun and stimulation for the children, with things regularly being changed and updated to keep the experience fresh for children who are there full time. I would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone in the area looking for a nursery place, they really do go the extra mile.

Such a lovely place for children to go. Both of my children have attended this setting from 2017-2020 and 2020 to the present. We were really impressed with the facilities, care and cleanliness from the beginning. We have seen the developments and improvements the manager and staff have made over the

I was really worried about going back to work when my daughter was a year old. From day 1 of her attending this nursery, it's been amazing. They have gone at her pace and allowed her plenty of time to settle into her new routine. She eats so well while at nursery too. I love seeing all the activities
they get up to. They put a lot of thought into the sensory activities. I completely trust the nursery staff and they genuinely care for all the children.

We have been very happy with this nursery as it has a family feel to it. The owners (also managers) work together in the first line and take care of everything from the smallest to the biggest thing. They love the kids and ensure there is an upgrade on either toys or play areas every once in a while.
They have also been very careful with cleanliness and health and safety.
We totally recommend it.

As I am working full-time, my son goes to nursery most of the days and I must say they are lifesavers! My son enjoys every day being there, the staff are all amazing and I am very grateful for everything they do for my son and our family. Working in the past with children myself I understand the work,
responsibility and commitment they have looking after our children! My son is a happy boy who will come home telling me what he learned every day, how he played with his friends and the most important thing, that he had lots of fun!
