The House that Jack Built Nursery is located in Watford. Qualified and experienced staff provide care for children aged six months to five years.

The baby room focuses on sensory experience for very young children, with features such as a bubble wall, a soft play area and in the garden, a grass tunnel, a Wendy house and slides. There are regular sports and education sessions to help children develop mentally and physically. The toddler room builds on this with a bubble tube and an area dedicated to puzzles and construction. It also adds to the children’s sport and education sessions with additional weekly Spanish lessons. The pre-schoolers’ rooms have a garden and more educational resources to develop maths, literacy and social skills.

Parents are involved with their child’s care and invited to attend monthly parent meetings. Food is prepared onsite using fresh ingredients to provide nutritionally balanced meals. Parents can speak to staff about any dietary needs their child may have.

We decided to move my daughters nursery and we are so pleased we moved her at The House That Jack Built. From the management to the staff they have been wonderful and have been supporting my daughters developmental needs and updating us on these as often as they can. Nothing ever feels like too much
and they are always happy to listen to our concerns or uncertainty and action things immediately.
We always see the faces of the managers as well which is always reassuring as they also very easily approachable and available.


The staff that look after my daughters age are incredibly creative and keep her engaged as much as possible. They also send us lovely pictures of the week of what they have been up to. We couldn't thank them enough for this.

My little boy has a wonderful time at THTJB nursery. The staff organise lovely activities for the children and they always seem to be doing different things. So much effort goes into to organising extra activities like their Summer event and Santa visits, and it's really appreciated because it's so
lovely enjoying those activities as a whole family, my eldest daughter (now at school) loves being involved.

We can see that our son is genuinely happy and safe in their care, which means so much to us as parents. The staff are warm, attentive, and nurturing, and they always take the time to consider our individual requests and needs. Their regular updates give us reassurance and help us feel fully involved
in his daily experiences and progress. We are truly grateful for the dedication and care the team shows, and we feel very confident knowing our son is in such a supportive environment.

I am so happy with this nursery. It was hard for my little on settling in but the staff were so understanding and fantastic. I drop my son off knowing he is in safe and loving hands. The staff are amazing and I've seen my son develop so quickly since being here! He now runs off into their arms at drop
offs and says bye to me! Honestly this nursery is a blessing. I am so glad they had space for him.

The house that jack built is a lovely nursery. The staff are caring, hard working and always have smiles on their faces. My little one loves going to the nursery and comes home happy every time. The food they provide is varied and nutritious. The staff provide regular updates on how your child is doing.
They provide varied and extensive learning opportunities for the kids. Were glad we found this nursery and are able to send our little one here. I can easily recommend this nursery without a second though.

The house that Jack built is a wonderful nursery in North Watford. The owners really care about preserving the nurturing environment for the children and staff. You sense the joy and the welcoming ethos from your first interaction.
They are proactive in maintaining a safe and fun space for the children,
both indoors and outdoors, even utilising the wonderful open areas around the nursery for exploring nature.
My daughter has been going to THTJB for 6 months now and I have seen first hand how she has developed in that time. I wanted her to have a space to develop social skills with other children, without me, and her confidence has grown so much. She now explores and plays everywhere she goes. She is happy every time she comes home and through the weekly collages we can see what she's been up to first hand.
I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone!
P.S. As an added bonus the nursery sits in the securely gated BRE site, only those who should have access to the area do.

I am very happy with the quality of activities provided every day at the nursery. They offer a large variety of healthy food items. I can see my daughter not only enjoys her time there but also learns a lot. She herself brings books to us to read and tells us she's using her phonics. It's a great nursery.

Amazing nursery. Lovely staff. Always do great activities with the kids. My daughter goes in happily and comes out happily. We never have any concerns for her safety as we know she's well looked after. She wants to go to nursery even on weekends.

My son attends the nursery since July. The staff and management team are amazing, polite, friendly, keep you informed of everything that is happening at the nursery or with your child's development.
The facilities are great, the children have a lot of variety of activities to do during the day.

My 9 month child started here in January and from the moment he arrived he has loved attending nursery. He is so welcomed and has settled in quickly due to the attentiveness and caring nature of the staff.
Every adult who works there, we have come into contact with, has answered any questions and
also helped to settle us in too as parents.
There are great activities arranged for the children which are always varied and interesting and clearly carefully thought out and considered, which as parents, we appreciate.
There is great, thorough communication about day-to-day nursery life, means we are always updated.

My child loves the nursery. They have the children's welfare and happiness as top priority. It has a very caring environment and is not business-like at all. The staff seem to have a good relationship with each other and they never have temp staff so the children are always comfortable. Constantly renovating
and improving.

The staff are meticulous, professional and incredible at their job.
My son has settled very quickly. The environment is comforting and warm, due to the staff being so nurturing and welcoming. I never thought I would see the day when my son walks into the nursery and says bye!
Incredibly rare to
find a nursery that is so thorough and caring. The food is amazing, and their standards are exceptional. I did think today I would be sad when it's time for my little one to start school, as I would love for him to stay here forever. Thanks to the ladies at The House That Jack Built Nursery who do a fabulous job every day.

My two daughters joined in November 2024. Everyone at the nursery is very friendly and kind. My two-year-old settled in instantly and absolutely loves going in. My one-year-old took some time to settle but I was expecting that. She soon settled and was really happy to go into nursery and has no issues
going in now. The nursery is well equipped with lots of activities for the girls to do/play with. The outdoor facilities is a perfect size for them to play around in. The manager and another staff member in particular have been amazing, if there have been any problems, they are quick to try and help. Good communication and keep me updated on how the girls are doing throughout their days. Thank you very much for looking after my girls! You are doing a brilliant job and I'm so grateful!

All the staff at the nursery are absolutely amazing, my son started there in October 2024 and for a child who has never been to nursery has really settled in well. The staff are really caring, loving and very attentive. My son loves going to nursery and tells me every day about all the wonderful stuff
he's done throughout the day. The staff have been great in every aspect including potty training. I can't thank the staff enough.

So my grandson started at the nursery in September. He has come on leaps and bounds. He wasn't walking when he started but soon started copying the other children. We get regular pictures and updates. I actually haven't met a nicer bunch of caring and capable staff. He is a very happy and active child.
His big sister also went to the nursery but has now gone to school. Very happy Nana.

My little boy has attended the nursery since the beginning of September and it's been the best thing I did. The nursery is so welcoming, all the staff are patient, understanding, knowledgeable and above all else, caring and fun. My son settled with no tears within 2 days and now is so excited to run
into nursery to see everyone. The communication us parents get about our children is above and beyond, I never have to worry about anything as I get updates all through the day about everything my son is doing. My son is extremely happy at this nursery and his development in just 5 weeks has been amazing.

The House That Jack Built has been amazing for both of my children, who have been there since they were 6 months old. They are both thriving there and all the staff work so hard to make the nursery an enjoyable place to be! They have supported us through a lot and everything has been so personalised,
they really go above and beyond. Would recommend to anyone thinking about which nursery to send their little ones to!

My son goes to The House That Jack Built Nursery since he was 6 months old and my child feels secure and happy and is very well looked after meaning I feel happy getting on with my day too.
