Partou Bumpkins Day Nursery & Pre-School

I could not be happier with the service provided at Bumpkins. My son started when he had huge separation anxiety and became so painfully shy with lockdown but after a few months, he is like a different child. He is so much more chatty and sociable. He has made some lovely friends. I am also amazed by how the staff help Hugo with his development and how quickly he picks things up. I would highly recommend Bumpkins and am delighted that they are sharing a role in my son’s upbringing.

My 1-year-old granddaughter started at Bumpkins Day Nursery in the middle of very difficult times because of COVID-19. She had never been away from her mum and was very clingy but familiarisation sessions just weren’t possible. Despite being a little “lost” initially, it really wasn’t long before she was happy to be left and clearly having a lovely time. This is all credit to the staff at Bumpkins who have made an anxious time for both mum and baby a truly positive experience. Thank you.

The staff are exceptional, they treat each child as an individual. The warm and creative setting Bumpkins Day Nursery provides is engaging and has been key to our child’s development both educationally and emotionally. Our child thrives in this setting and gives us peace of mind that he is getting the best care. Highly recommend Bumpkins!

My daughter has been at Bumpkins Day Nursery for just over a year and it has been an amazing experience for her, she absolutely loves her time there and it has made her confidence grow so much. When we were first viewing nurseries we were looking for a ''good feel'', a home from home feel and we definitely got that here. All of the staff make the nursery what it is, they all look so genuinely happy to be there and know my daughter's personality so well. I love that the nursery take special occasions like nursery photos, Halloween and Christmas as an importance and get everyone excited for them. It is so nice to know my child is with people who we trust and care for her.

I have had 2 children go to Bumpkins Day Nursery from 12 months old until leaving to go to primary school. We’ve always been really happy with it. The preschool have a wonderful Nature Rangers field (forest school), which is a great difference to many other childcare settings. The main nursery also has chickens, tractors etc to see, which our children loved. The food is varied and healthy. Our children ate much better there than at home! The range of activities is large. Although Bumpkins is larger than some other nurseries, it has a lovely, kind feel to it, compared to some of the other places we’ve visited.

I would also like to say that the way the management have handled the COVID situation this year has been very impressive.

My son has loved his time at Bumpkins Day Nursery so far, the staff are all friendly and welcoming and I’m especially impressed that everybody knows his name and his character, including the nursery manager and deputy manager.

The staff have managed the COVID restrictions well and have a good system in place to protect children and parents and I imagine staff as well.

My son has developed so many new skills since starting nursery, you can really see the difference it is making to his learning.

There is lots of messy play and the children spend lots of time outdoors which is great. I love seeing his artwork in his bag at the end of the day!

Very professional, the staff genuinely care about the children and their well being, lots of fun activities and focus on development, very reliable and arranging when possible. Trust them entirely with my children. The nursery is within the countryside so the children can go outside often and walk along the farm tracks, see some chickens.

My eldest daughter went to a nursery that acted as a chain and although happy with the care the staff provided, it always felt impersonal and lacked flexibility. Bumpkins Day Nursery really is different, for a start every member of the team introduces themselves. They all know and care about my son, even if they are not directly working with him. I found the introduction process during the pandemic to be 'brutal', because it had to be, but the flexible approach taken by Bumpkins meant that I felt supported. The access to an app with pictures and updates was new for me and offered heaps of reassurance. The staff in the office are also brilliant around paperwork queries. The processes are thorough without feeling intrusive. And the most important factor of all, my son loves it, he’s so happy to go. Genuinely, they all care. We’re glad we took the chance and went with a new setting.

We've had one child go all the way through Bumpkins Day Nursery, and another currently in the pre-school, and it's been a wonderful experience for both of them. The staff are warm and welcoming, and providing a kind and nurturing environment for the children, while encouraging their development across all age ranges. We couldn't be happier with our experience of the nursery and pre-school, and would highly recommend it.

Outstanding nursery, my baby has grown into a clever toddler and he is very happy here and that’s all I could have wished for when returning back to work! He goes in smiling and always comes smiling and his bond with the staff is really lovely too.

I cannot recommend Bumpkins Day Nursery enough. I have a son who attends and now my daughter will also be starting in the new year. My son always loves going and leaves excited after a fun day. The staff are always friendly, polite and helpful and very accommodating for each family's routine and needs. Even as high up as the managerial staff, throughout the 2020 COVID madness, they have gone above and beyond to help parents, key workers and keeping the children safe. We love Bumpkins.

My daughter made some lovely friends while at Bumpkins and formed strong bonds with the staff too. Bumpkins have definitely given my daughter a great start and her transition to school has been seamless. I would recommend Bumpkins to other parents without hesitation.

Both of my children flourished at Bumpkins - all round it was a very nurturing experience from a year old all the way to pre-school. The staff are great at keeping all the children engaged and bringing out the best in them.

Bumpkins has been a fantastic experience for my daughter. She started 21 months ago at the nursery as a baby who only wanted mummy’s company. Now at preschool, she’s a confident, outgoing, active 3-year-old who loves her days there and talks enthusiastically about nature rangers. The staff are caring and compassionate and put a huge effort into developing the children. My daughter’s vocabulary is superb and her understanding of the natural world is growing quickly. She’s been taught everything from ethics and manners to social skills and compassion. I can’t rate this establishment highly enough. Thank you to the manager and team!

Since starting mid-February my daughter loves this nursery and the staff have been very welcoming and helped her settle very quickly within her room, management make a huge effort to be involved with the children within the room and not just in the office. She has learned a lot in the short space of time that she has been here. The nursery is very clean in the rooms and across the entrance and garden area. Very happy with the nursery overall.

I would highly recommend Bumpkins as a great day nursery! Have recommended to family and friends. My son has been attending since he was 9 months and Bumpkins made my return to work go smoothly! My son loves attending on his days and has made great bonds with the staff from across the nursery. My son's favourite time of day is being outside and the space that they have for the children is great, my son loves to spend time at nature rangers exploring all things nature, playing in the mud, learning about the outside world and playing with his friends.

I have been really happy with the care provided by the staff for my child. They are dedicated, enthusiastic and very welcoming, my child has been very happy there.

My child has recently started at Bumpkins and loves it there! The staff are all so lovely and are always waiting with a cuddle for my child when we arrive and when I come to collect them! I have seen lots of positive development changes in my child since starting at Bumpkins!
