We are really satisfied with all the aspects of childcare. Our son is happy every time he sees the staff members, they are very nice and patient. They provide us with photos and detailed description of our son's activities through the app. Although our son's social skills aren't the best, he was able
to make friends very soon. He is also really satisfied with the food provided.

My child has settled in quickly and feels comfortable with the staff at the Nursery.
Staff is so friendly and Management does their duty perfectly. I am happy about receiving regular updates of my child's activity and food intake. Overall my child enjoys her day at nursery.

We transferred our daughter from another nursery and she instantly took to Hopscotch where she had still been crying on the door of her old nursery. The staff have been amazing at keeping us updated on her progress and activities and it couldn't have been a more positive outcome for what could have
been a difficult transition! Such a huge relief and a happy toddler, thank you so much!

My child has settled in so quickly and has formed great relationships with his teachers. I'm so happy to have moved my child to this nursery.
It's super spacious, with so many activities for my child to do, and the outdoor space is brilliant.
Communication is on point; the app is always up-to-date,
which settles me during the day and always receives lovely pictures of what my child has been up to during the day.
The nursery has really taken on board dietary requirements and respects our decision about the food our child eats.
I've seen a vast improvement in my child's development and behaviour in such a short space of time since attending at the beginning of June!
Can't thank all the staff enough for their hard work!

Our daughter started here as soon as it opened and we are so happy with the nursery. She always looks forward to going in, and she has so much fun whilst she is there with staff. We have already seen how much she has learnt, she loves it and so do we! Thank you!

I was so apprehensive about sending my baby to nursery as she was so anxious being around with strangers. To my surprise, she settled in nicely and without any concern. Her tears changed into a smile soon. Looks so lovely when she says miss. I am sure the Hopscotch team would manage her and take care

Hello, my name is Becky and I am the Manager of Hopscotch Portswood. I joined the Hopscotch team in 2024 and moved to the Portswood setting in January 2025. I quickly settled into the team and became a manager. I have been primarily preschool-based in my experience but have also been a higher-level teaching assistant in a school setting, having a role as SEN support and helping children learn.

At Hopscotch Portswood, we strive to deliver rich, meaningful interactions which allow children to be creative, show care and courage. We want our children to be happy, confident, and have a clear sense of self and belonging within their world, including their local community. We believe in recognising and celebrating children as individuals, and extending their learning through their interests, wants and needs. Our desire is that children experience play-based learning. Learning that should be fun, engaging and suitably challenging. Adults provide high-quality interactions and create meaningful bonds with their children and our families to ensure they are positive role models for learning and provide a home-from-home experience. We have a beautiful outside space which is used throughout all the weather, and we offer free-flow play to allow children to express their own independence and choice. We have a fabulous team of people with a range of experiences and specialities.

I'm Alice and I am the Deputy Manager here at Hopscotch Portswood, I joined Hopscotch in December 2022 as a Room Leader.
