Tops Day Nurseries: Portsmouth Nursery

Always introducing new things for the children to do and also create new learning for them, I would recommend this facility to anyone and children do well here and love it, also my daughter was poorly a lot during her time which resulted in surgery and the staff were very compassionate and offered lots of cuddles and managed her medications etc which gave me comfort, well done tops you are brilliant xx

Staff are always happy and are always discreet if they need to talk to you about any concerns they may have. The app makes keeping informed of my child's day and development really easy. Absolutely love that pictures can be uploaded to the app, so I can see how she's developing instead of just reading it.

They are extremely accommodating and made our first experience of a nursery very smooth and hassle-free. Outstanding service and early years provision.

The garden is great as it allows open access which my daughter loves.

It would be nice to be introduced to the staff or given a letter/email of who is in each room as I never really know who works in the room. Perhaps a little space of who the child's keyworker is, as again I didn't know until my daughter had been attending a few weeks who her key worker is.

All in all, I really love the atmosphere in the nursery and we feel really at ease with leaving her here.

My daughter has struggled to settle throughout nursery, and changing rooms, but they have always gone out their way to comfort her and settle her.

I knew Tops Portsmouth would be the nursery for my daughter, many colleagues recommended the nursery to me before I returned to work. All staff are very welcoming and remember my daughters name even if they do not have her in their class. The menu is fantastic and meets all dietary requirements.

The communication from the nursery is fantastic and I love the app that is used which helps so much with seeing your little one's development and how their day has been.

I’m very happy with the nursery, my daughter really enjoys going and her contentment within the nursery is all that I need for assurance that the nursery is second to none when it comes to caring for my daughter.

My daughter has been going to Tps since she was 9 months old and she has always been happy and well cared for, she has had huge problems with tonsillitis which the staff have always administered her medicine without problem, she learns new things every time she goes and has lots of friends, the staff are great and I never feel worried about leaving her.

My child has come to really enjoy attending Tops. He was helped to settle in well by the teachers in the room, they ask a lot of questions about routine and do their best to adhere to my child's needs. He has lots of fun and experiences and shows a clear happiness with the staff around him and the room he is learning in. Preschool 1 do a very good job taking care of my child and we are both very grateful.

My daughter has been to other nurseries but this one she is excellent in. Her behaviour has improved and she now has lots of friends and we both love the staff.

I only have good things to say about Tops Portsmouth. From the first visit to current day, the staff have shown care and attention to myself and my family. My son has come on leaps and bounds since starting at Tops, can't recommend enough.

Excellent nursery environment and staff, confident that my son always gets the best care possible. Shift booking option with extended hours great for parents who don’t have a regular 9-5 job.

Both of my children went to this nursery from a young age.. they have been outstanding in all aspects.. caring, nurturing, promoting children to develop.. hats off to them.

Both my children have attended this setting, my little girl is currently still attending, she loves going and is always smiling when I collect, the staff are amazing at what they do and I couldn't fault the care they have and still continue to give my children.

My 2-year-old boy absolutely loves Tops Day Nursery - Portsmouth! He is always learning new things and enjoying playing with the other children! It is also really nice when I receive pictures and written updates on eyLog to show how well he is developing. Keep up the good work!

Having initially sent my son to a childminder, I was hesitant of sending him to a nursery setting however, I have been very pleased with how he has progressed and the service provided. I did have a few niggles but the nursery manager couldn't have been more helpful and worked through the issues I had with me. I have received an excellent service from both the key workers and office staff. I would have no hesitation in recommending the nursery.

I have recommended this nursery to a few people as I think they go above and beyond to make my child's stay a really enjoyable one.

Overall a very pleasant nursery. Staff are extremely proud of their work and the evidence of their own high standards is clear. Keyworker system is very good. Food policy is somewhat strange, with no major research or evidence. Eating policies are placed upon parents with little warning and no advisory notice. Healthy eating is a must but done in the correct manner. Hot meals/hot menu should be more subsided in order to allow/promote healthy eating to parents.

I love the friendly atmosphere that Tops has created, the staff are always so friendly and keen to help. I am a mum of two boys, both are in different rooms and they both are thriving since starting at this nursery. The boys love all of the staff from the room staff, the kitchen and office girls. Seeing their faces light up when I take them in and go to collect them is a great feeling. I know my boys would recommend this nursery as it often takes me a good 20 minutes to get the boys to stop playing and get ready to go home!!! Keep up the amazing work, I'm so proud of what my boys are achieving daily and I owe you all a thank you for being part of their support network.

I have been using this nursery for just over 2 years. I could not think of a better more friendly welcoming atmosphere for my child to be surrounded by. I always feel I have a close relationship with all the staff looking after my child. My child always comes out of nursery with a smile on her face telling me all about her day, I know she feels like she's at home when she is there.
