Tops Day Nurseries: Winchester Nursery

Our son has been attending Tops for four years, from the age of six months. The staff are always caring, kind and keen to build on his development. They really treat him as an individual and have come up with an individual care plan to stretch him beyond the normal early years curriculum. He has become confident and sociable and has been prepared well for starting school. The flexibility in booking hours and support that Tops has provided for keyworkers during Covid has been amazing. I would highly recommend Tops to anyone.

A big thank you to all the staff at Tops Winchester for taking such good care of my daughter for the last 3 years. It was a weight off my shoulders knowing that she was safe, happy and looked after by people who genuinely care. She has made many friends and learned a lot whilst being there - I was in fact very impressed by her number recognition the other day which I know was down to the staff at Tops taking the time to teach her. The manager and his team are wonderful.

My daughter loves it there. The staff are fantastic and really care. There are constantly changing different activities for the children to take part in and they go on lots of trips and visits out. The hours are extremely flexible which works well for us and they are so accommodating.

The staff are excellent and know my daughter really well. She is so happy there. We couldn’t be happier with Tops Winchester and plan to send our younger child when he’s old enough too.

My son has only just started going here yet his bond with his key worker is amazing, they are easy to speak to in handovers and always trying to help. The nursery is easily flexible to our needs and always willing to make thing easier for myself. My son's speech has improved massively and he's always happy to go off to play.

The staff are so attentive, patient and understanding that deciding on a nursery and leaving your child in their care is such a big deal for parents! Nothing is ever too much trouble and I can relax at work knowing my child is happy, content and his needs are met (with lots of lovely cuddles!). Thank you, Tops Winchester.

Tops has helped my son develop greatly from a child who couldn't talk. Now he loves talking and exploring. He is very clever and they help him in many different ways.

My son has attended Tops Winchester for the last two years and I cannot praise the staff highly enough. He loves it so much and has developed a strong bond with all the staff there, making many friends. The activities are varied, he loves Forest School. Updates via the parent app are fantastic. Communication is excellent between staff, management and parents.

I couldn’t have picked a nicer nursery for my son, the manager and the girls are so amazing at what they do. They’re so helpful and full of advice. Would 100% recommend to anyone!

Winchester Tops Nursery are fantastic. They are always so understanding and flexible in terms of hours and payments which makes my job as a parent much easier. My son absolutely loves it at Tops Winchester and has progressed all the way through to pre-school now. Tops Nursery has been integral to his development and we are looking forward to the next couple of years with them.

Incredible nursery, friendly welcoming staff and wonderful sustainability plan. The staff always greet us with a smile, friendly and thoughtful. They always go the extra mile to help when needed. My daughter fitted straight in - runs in without even saying goodbye now. They encourage outdoor play and interaction, the key to a balanced day away from screens. Simply outstanding.

My daughter started at Tops when she was ten months old and I went back to work. She developed great relationships with the adults there and also made great friendships. Being at Tops made her very sociable and she has easily adjusted to big school because of it. As working parents, we really appreciated the flexibility provided at Tops. Our daughter loved the activities on offer, such as cooking school and forest school and day trips out. Would highly recommend to working parents who want peace of mind.

I cannot recommend Tops Winchester enough. They have been absolutely amazing taking care of our daughter. The 15 minute time slots worked really well for me with my work hours and I found them to offer better opening hours for our circumstances than other nurseries. Staff were always friendly and accommodating to our needs. My daughter loved going to pre-school and is really missing all the staff and her friends now that she is in big school.

Diversity policy is great - encourage different languages/gender equality from an early age. Environment Focus - through Forest School and outdoor activities in the garden made happy kids. They support independence (combined with encouraging kind attitudes and good manners), learn about healthy eating, make their own food through Cooking School, brush their own teeth after lunch etc.

I cried when my youngest left - it gave our kids the best start. Would whole-heartedly recommend.

Both our girls were at Tops from six months and we were always very happy with the care and education they received. The staff are dedicated and approachable and have a very can-do attitude. The flexible hours and booking system was a godsend as we work irregular shifts, and I never worried about the children while I was at work. They were both happy and safe. I have recommended Tops to all our friends with similar childcare needs. The food was great, healthy but appealing and with a wide adventurous variety. Forest school and cooking school are well worth the small extra cost, I would highly recommend both.

The staff are lovely, kind and caring. They smiled and made our son feel at ease every time we dropped him off. And he developed such a close bond with his key worker. Thank you so much for looking after him. We will miss you!
