Tops Day Nursery - Winchester is located near the Royal Hampshire County Hospital and Winchester University.

This nursery is part of a group that provides the most eco-sustainable childcare and education in the UK, being respectful of the environment and acting to reduce, re-use and recycle resources is an important part of the culture and routine for the children and staff.

The team of staff offers happy, nurturing care for the hours parents need. The nursery offers flexible hours and parents can book to the nearest 15 minutes, to allow them more choice over childcare.

The staff provide a safe and stimulating environment for children from three months old until they reach school age. The nursery is open from 6am to 8pm, subject to demand.

Tops Day Nurseries has a number of extracurricular activities such as Tops Cooking School, Tops Forest School, meditation, yoga, Rugby Rangers, Boogie Mites, tooth brushing and much more.

Tops Winchester can offer 15 funded which is available for two, three- and four-year-olds and 30 hours for eligible families.

While each child is at Tops Winchester, families are always welcome to call as often as they like to discuss their child's progress and day at nursery.

Important information such as sleep times, nappy changes and milk and food intake is recorded by staff and included in a daily report on EYLOG.

The nursery group has a no-added sugar menu in all its nurseries, offering children a nutritional, healthy diet early in their lives.

My son has only just started going here yet his bond with his key worker is amazing, they are easy to speak to in handovers and always trying to help. The nursery is easily flexible to our needs and always willing to make thing easier for myself. My son's speech has improved massively and he's always
happy to go off to play.

The staff are so attentive, patient and understanding that deciding on a nursery and leaving your child in their care is such a big deal for parents! Nothing is ever too much trouble and I can relax at work knowing my child is happy, content and his needs are met (with lots of lovely cuddles!). Thank

Since my son has been going to the nursery he has come on in leaps and bounds with his development. All the staff go above and beyond for him and are always happy and willing to help if needed. I would highly recommend Tops Nursery Winchester to anyone looking for childcare for their child. I can't

My son has attended Tops Winchester for the last two years and I cannot praise the staff highly enough. He loves it so much and has developed a strong bond with all the staff there, making many friends. The activities are varied, he loves Forest School. Updates via the parent app are fantastic. Communication
is excellent between staff, management and parents.

Tops Day Nursery (Winchester) has been just amazing for both my daughter and I. My daughter absolutely loves it, the staff are incredible, so kind, caring and creative, my daughter has grown such a lovely bond with her key worker as well as the other staff members. They are always coming up with new
activities for the children and the cooking school is one of my daughter's favourites. My daughter is always telling me new things she has learnt and I get updated regularly with pictures/videos or messages to show me what she’s up to.
I would highly recommend this nursery.

Winchester Tops Nursery are fantastic. They are always so understanding and flexible in terms of hours and payments which makes my job as a parent much easier. Incredible nursery, friendly welcoming staff and wonderful sustainability plan. The staff always greet us with a smile, friendly and thoughtful. They always go the extra mile to help when needed. My daughter fitted straight in - runs in without even saying goodbye now. They encourage outdoor play and

My daughter started at Tops when she was ten months old and I went back to work. She developed great relationships with the adults there and also made great friendships. Being at Tops made her very sociable and she has easily adjusted to big school because of it. As working parents, we really appreciated
the flexibility provided at Tops. Our daughter loved the activities on offer, such as cooking school and forest school and day trips out. Would highly recommend to working parents who want peace of mind.

I cannot recommend Tops Winchester enough. They have been absolutely amazing taking care of our daughter. The 15 minute time slots worked really well for me with my work hours and I found them to offer better opening hours for our circumstances than other nurseries. Staff were always friendly and accommodating
to our needs. My daughter loved going to pre-school and is really missing all the staff and her friends now that she is in big school.

Both our kids thrived at Tops Winchester. The staff were always friendly, involved, concerned and responsive - always on the same level as the children and supporting them to learn and grow in a safe and caring way. Flexible shift booking hours mean you pay for only what you need - which worked really
well with our flexible jobs, saved a lot of money compared to the strict half day/full day policy you find everywhere else. Progress report notifications through the online App made me smile at work every day!
Diversity policy is great - encourage different languages/gender equality from an early age. Environment Focus - through Forest School and outdoor activities in the garden made happy kids. They support independence (combined with encouraging kind attitudes and good manners), learn about healthy eating, make their own food through Cooking School, brush their own teeth after lunch etc.


I cried when my youngest left - it gave our kids the best start. Would whole-heartedly recommend.

Both our girls were at Tops from six months and we were always very happy with the care and education they received. The staff are dedicated and approachable and have a very can-do attitude. The flexible hours and booking system was a godsend as we work irregular shifts, and I never worried about the
children while I was at work. They were both happy and safe. I have recommended Tops to all our friends with similar childcare needs. The food was great, healthy but appealing and with a wide adventurous variety. Forest school and cooking school are well worth the small extra cost, I would highly recommend both.

Our son has just left, having been at Tops for over 4 years. He has been so well cared for and has learnt so much during his time here. From the very start, we always felt like he was safe with you and he has been extremely happy. You should all be very proud of Winchester Tops and the way you look
after the children.
The staff are lovely, kind and caring. They smiled and made our son feel at ease every time we dropped him off. And he developed such a close bond with his key worker. Thank you so much for looking after him. We will miss you!

My daughter was cared for at Tops for 7 months when I first returned to work after maternity leave. I found Tops extremely flexible, especially with last-minute changes which were sometimes necessary, and found all of the staff friendly and helpful. The staff are very caring and go out of their way
to be as helpful as possible. I felt that my daughter was in safe hands and had lots of stimulating learning and play possibilities, as well as a wealth of cuddles - which mattered to me as she started here as a 10-month-old. Forest School was a big draw. I think that the staff at Tops work extremely hard to create a warm and welcoming environment for children and parents.

Our daughter has spent 3 1/2 very happy years at Tops Winchester. A very caring, friendly, supportive, nurturing environment. Nothing was ever too much trouble for any of the staff. Everyone was hands-on including management. Forest school was a huge draw for us, our daughter loved it. Thank you all.

Tops Winchester is such a great nursery - my two children have both had such a great time there and learnt so much. The staff are so caring and great with the children, making them all feel individual and unique.
The flexibility offered by 15 minute intervals for bookings and availability of last
minute and ad hoc bookings has been an absolute lifesaver for us.
I would not hesitate to recommend them to others, and already have done in several cases!

Not a bad word to say about this nursery. Very sad that our little one is moving on. Staff excellent. Always friendly, yet professional, from top to bottom. App updates great! Daily diaries always on time. Great flexibility with dates/times that you do not get at other nursery's.
