Tops Day Nurseries: Winchester Nursery

My daughter was cared for at Tops for 7 months when I first returned to work after maternity leave. I found Tops extremely flexible, especially with last-minute changes which were sometimes necessary, and found all of the staff friendly and helpful. The staff are very caring and go out of their way to be as helpful as possible. I felt that my daughter was in safe hands and had lots of stimulating learning and play possibilities, as well as a wealth of cuddles - which mattered to me as she started here as a 10-month-old. Forest School was a big draw. I think that the staff at Tops work extremely hard to create a warm and welcoming environment for children and parents.

Our daughter has spent 3 1/2 very happy years at Tops Winchester. A very caring, friendly, supportive, nurturing environment. Nothing was ever too much trouble for any of the staff. Everyone was hands-on including management. Forest school was a huge draw for us, our daughter loved it. Thank you all.

I would not hesitate to recommend them to others, and already have done in several cases!

Not a bad word to say about this nursery. Very sad that our little one is moving on. Staff excellent. Always friendly, yet professional, from top to bottom. App updates great! Daily diaries always on time. Great flexibility with dates/times that you do not get at other nursery's.

Highly recommend Tops Days Winchester - our son loves pre school and that’s all thanks to the staff there.

We had to change settings very quickly due to house moves. Tops Winchester have been great at helping our child settle during a period of challenges and changes. I'm very grateful to all the staff for making him feel so welcome and happy.

I have my daughter attend Tops Winchester, the staff are so friendly and attentive to her needs. The food is amazing value and caters for her diary free needs. She’s come on leaps and bounds, her development has exceeded so much since being with the nursery! She loves the staff and all the children! So glad to have chosen this nursery for her.

Very friendly, professional and helpful staff who make our daughter very happy. She has learned so much in a short space of time. Through play and interaction with the other children, she has developed great social skills and loves to go to Tops. It's a great place to leave our daughter at when we are working.

Our little girl has multiple food allergies (some severe) and she has to carry an Epipen. I was understandably anxious when she first started but these fears were almost immediately eradicated and they cater for her brilliantly. We love Tops Winchester.

Attentive to needs of the child.

Clear goals and targets on curriculum - stimulatory play to help the child reach their target.

Could have a better handover process - e.g. writing down specific care needs for the child when parent/guardian handover so that all those involved in their care are aware. Sometimes information can be missed.

Overall, fantastic care and my child loves it!

We first noticed Tops as we began visiting Winchester maternity ward. The colourful fence around the garden caught our eye and the garden was often full of children who sounded like they were having a great time. When we went for a look round we were very pleased with the facilities. The best thing about Tops is the staff, they are caring, welcoming, professional, informed, and great at communicating with us- be that in person, on email, or via the app that sends us pictures and updates of how our baby is doing.

We’ve found it quite tough handing our child over to new people to be looked after, sometimes for 10 hours in a row, all the lovely staff at Tops have made this as easy as it can be. Our daughter has really bonded with her key person, and waves and smiles at the other staff too. It’s also great how flexible Tops are and what great value for money they are, we couldn’t be happier.

The staff at Winchester Nursery are fab, particularly my daughter's key worker who has a fantastic rapport with her. The staff are always upbeat and friendly whether it’s 07:30 in the morning or 19:00 when we pick up.

They come up with lots of different activities to keep the kids entertained come rain or shine and really make the most of the space they have. Our daughter's development has come on leaps and bounds in the last 4 months, and nappy changing is no longer a battle since they taught her to help with the process.

I am very happy with tops day nursery Winchester. They have been amazing with my twins. They are settled in very well and love this nursery. Staff are always brilliant and helpful with advice and very supportive when needed for anything like potty training etc.

Topps Winchester- My daughter has always been very happy here. The staff clearly are enjoying looking after the children and the children reciprocate this by in turn feeling very comfortable in the nursery environment.

The staff here are wonderful, they care for our child and have made us feel very secure in leaving our daughter with them. She is always so excited to see them and they are great at consoling them if they aren't very happy. My daughters keyworker has been amazing and I would of never felt so able to leave my child if it wasn't for her. The nursery is quite small but feels like a family with everyone working and playing together, great atmosphere.

Management are also great we have known them for a particularly long time, they were so kind and let me and my husband do training there as part of our adoption process. Tops have such great staff and I have recently recommended them to a friend who is starting her daughter there in April.

Awesome staff, great environment. My daughter has developed very well here and we intend for our son to go here too. Messy play is encouraged and extra activities such as food school and outdoor clubs are good value. Highly recommended.

Wonderful staff are always welcoming, my daughter gets excited every time she goes. She happily tells us of her day and who she has been playing with.

EyLog updates keep me up to date on what she has been up to that day, as well as photos and videos of her.

Tops Nursery ticks all the boxes: warm, welcoming environment; friendly, caring staff; a nice variety of activities and learning opportunities; flexible hours; value for money; receptive to parent's needs/wishes; environmentally friendly ethos. Our daughter truly thrives in this environment, which is a testament to their wholesome approach to childcare.

Overall we are very pleased with the approach of the staff and management and feel confident that we can leave our grandson in their hands without worry. Whenever we have had a small query or problem, they have responded quickly and competently.

Really pleased with Tops Day Nursery - Winchester, all the staff are helpful, always cheerful and always seem to be in control.

The Ey-log is a great facility and I find it very reassuring that he always seems to be doing various different activities and that the team are monitoring his progress.

I also notice things at home that obviously my son has picked up at nursery which is great to see.

Would recommend if I knew anyone who would benefit from the service.
