A HOME-FROM-HOME NURSERY IN LOUGHTON

The beautiful Loughton day nursery provides outstanding quality care to children aged 3 months to 5 years.

Nestled on the scenic edge of Loughton, the nursery supports your child in exploring all of the extracurricular activities they love, including ‘Stretch-n-Grow’ movement sessions, ‘Tiny Mites’ musical classes, Rugby and ‘Rugby Tots’ sports sessions.
As the nursery is in such a naturally inspiring area, they want your child to develop their love of the outdoors. To achieve this, your child has free-flow access to their own age-specific garden, where they can learn, play and explore in the ideal environment for them.
To give your child the energy they need to grow, they can try all of the fun extracurricular activities and explore the garden, they also provide them with delicious and healthy meals, all freshly prepared by an experienced on-site chef.
They are conveniently located under a mile from Debden town centre, Debden Underground Station and just over a mile from Loughton town centre. In addition, they have a buggy storage area and on-site car park to make pick-up and drop-off as convenient for you as possible.

Since the day my little boy started at nursery, we have had nothing but a positive experience. The staff are amazing and caring. They always update me on how his day has been and what his been up to. He loves going to nursery and seeing his friends, he has settled in so well and thats all thanks to

My son loves going to Teddies. He runs in and hardly ever looks back. He has been thriving, which as parents makes us so happy. He has some medical issues and the staff have been fantastic with him and always learning about his condition.
We always recommend the nursery whenever anyone asks on local
nurseries in the area.

I feel incredibly lucky to have had my children attend this nursery. From day one the staff have been nothing short of amazing. Every one of the ladies who looked after my children were kind and nurturing. They really got to know my children and developed incredibly special bonds with them both. The
energy of this nursery is warm and welcoming. Both children never had any issues going in, even during settles, they settled in very quickly. It gave me such peace of mind knowing they were happy there. Communication was always honest and open and you can tell they genuinely care for the children in their setting. They would encourage parents to tell them what the children were enjoying at home so they could tailor the activities to what the children enjoyed! I would absolutely recommend this nursery to anyone who is looking for somewhere lovely to have their children properly looked after!

What can I say the team over at Loughton are just great! My son has completely flourished into a confident little boy thanks to all the staff at bright horizons Loughton. They have been a great help to support my son in certain areas and the outcome is remarkable to say the least. They even make me
feel at ease when I worry about how his day has been always given me insights of what he has done and got up to. They have definitely helped massively and given me confidence so I would definitely recommend this nursery.
The nursery is super clean, lovely outdoor space which my son adores! Friendly and helpful staff that always go the extra mile for my son.

My son has been attending this nursery/preschool for the last 8 months (he was previously 2 years at a previous setting) and the support myself and more importantly my son has from day one has been exceptional. He has learnt, progressed and is so much happier!

Our daughter has been going to Bright Horizons Teddies Loughton Day Nursery and Preschool since she was 11 months old and loves it! The staff are all very caring and she’s always excited to see them. They do lots of activities and the outdoor space is great and she loves that she gets to play outside
every day. She loves the food too!

From the moment my son walked through their doors, the team made every effort to ensure he felt comfortable and loved. During those initial weeks he struggled to settle in, the staff went above and beyond, providing constant reassurance and regular updates.
Fast forward a year and Bright Horizons
Teddies Loughton Day Nursery and Preschool has become my son's second home. The staff not only helped him acquire new skills and knowledge but have played a significant role in boosting his confidence and independence.
One standout aspect is their proactive approach to potty training. With their support, he successfully mastered this milestone, a testament to the personalised care to each child.
As a child who only eats halal food, I had concerns about the menu.
However, they went above and beyond to accommodate, ensuring he always had nutritious and delicious halal meals.
In summary; Teddies has been the best decision and every team member truly cares. I can’t be more thankful and wholeheartedly recommend it to any parent.

My daughter loves going to nursery and it makes me so happy and comforted. The staff are so friendly and work brilliantly with the children. There is a fab garden play area and lots of space to run around plus the food is all fresh/home-cooked. Would love more photos and videos though, but understand
it can probably be chaotic in the room!

They really helped my 3-year-old settle in well to the preschool group, considering it was my child's first time in a daycare setting. Teachers very friendly and my kid tells me regularly 'I love them'. Good range of food, activities and very clean setting. Good-sized outside space and lots of interactive
and imaginative play, as well as a focus on education such as learning letters. Kid comes out telling me lots of stories about how much fun she's had.

Really pleased with the nursery facilities and the staff are very attentive. My two children joined last year and have settled in well. My two daughters attended Bright Horizons Teddies in Loughton from the age of one, and our experience was fantastic. They thoroughly enjoyed their time at the nursery, thanks to the caring and attentive teachers, who always provided feedback at pick-up time. One aspect we appreciated was the nutritious
and balanced meals offered, with food readily available throughout the day, including snacks.
The nursery itself is clean and tidy, with excellent facilities. The outdoor area is particularly impressive, with each room having its own dedicated space. This allowed for plenty of outdoor play and exploration, which my daughters loved. Additionally, we noticed that the teachers worked diligently to help the children navigate and cope with frustration, fostering emotional development.
Overall, I highly recommend Bright Horizons in Loughton for its care, dedicated staff, nutritious meals, and outdoor area.

My 2-year-old loves Bright Horizons Teddies Loughton Day Nursery and Preschool and is always excited to attend. The staff are always welcoming and happy when handing over in the mornings and will never let you leave without feedback on your child's day at pick-up.
There's a variety of activities throughout
the day and a really nice outside play area. You can see the added contribution to my child's development, learning and creativity since attending Teddies.
The well-balanced meals and snacks throughout the day have helped with my child's eating at home.
I am so thankful and grateful for all that the staff do at Teddies.

My 9-month-old recently started with Bright Horizons Teddies Loughton Day Nursery and Preschool and as a first-time mum, I was feeling pretty anxious about leaving my child in the hands of others but all the team members have been amazing and made the transition really easy.
My daughter carried out
a few settling-in sessions which were so helpful and now, when I drop my daughter off, I get a little wave goodbye!

Since my daughter started at Bright Horizons Teddies Loughton Day Nursery and Preschool four months ago (at 16 months old), I have noticed such a difference in the way she is. She’s more comfortable around people, she’s taking such big leaps in her talking and has picked up so much. When I drop her
off, she’s always so happy and super excited to be going and is still happy when I collect her. The staff really do give you peace of mind, the app tells you everything about your child’s day so there’s no need to worry and I am so thankful that my daughter is safe and feels comfortable with the staff. I was quite anxious at first before I started her there but I am so glad I sent her. She loves it. Thank you to everyone at Teddies.

My daughter has been at the nursery since October 2023, starting when she was around 14 months old. The change in her since she started has been huge. Within a few weeks, she was much more confident around family members who weren’t in her direct circle and she’s far more interactive and playful with
other children. She’s turned into a little chatterbox and it’s so enjoyable to see the things she’s learned at nursery. The staff are so lovely, you only have to meet them for a few minutes to know your child will be really well looked after and treated like one of their own. My daughter gets so excited when I mention going to nursery - she grabs her coat and waits by the front door which tells me everything I need to know!
We’re so pleased she ended up at Teddies Loughton, it’s been a brilliant experience for her.

We are so pleased with Bright Horizons Teddies Loughton Day Nursery and Preschool. We are a South African family settling into the UK and my daughter (2 years) is already adapting to the changed circumstances, thanks to the personnel and leaders at the the nursery. The care, attention and love are excellent.
I extended to a full week a month care because of the trust and strong relationship evolving. I would definitely recommend them.

My son loves his nursery and the special bond he created with his teachers and his friends. I transferred him from another branch in midst of Covid lockdown. Best decision ever made for my son as he was growing up and he needed the much loving space he had in Teddies. He still keeps saying that this

Chloe holds a degree in Early Childhood Studies and has worked for Bright Horizons since 2014. Having completed her qualification with the company, she has progressed through various roles into management and also gained experience as a Field Manager, supporting multiple nurseries across the region. This experience has enabled her to guide her team in creating safe, nurturing environments where every child can thrive.


She is also deeply committed to ensuring the nursery is an inclusive environment for children with additional needs. Chloe and her team take great pride in working closely with parents and external professionals to make sure every child receives the support they need.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Nicole has over 15 years’ experience in childcare, beginning as a Teaching Assistant for children aged 4–11 before becoming an HLTA, teaching across the school. After completing her BA (Hons) in Education Studies, she moved into early years, progressing from Nursery Nurse to Floor Manager of a Baby Room. Over the years, she has gained a deep understanding of nursery life and is trained in Makaton and BSL, which she enjoys sharing with others.


She is now Third in Charge at Bright Horizons Sawbridgeworth, where she has embraced the Bright Beginnings Curriculum and is training as both a Communication Champion and her region’s SEN Champion, while completing her Level 3 in SEND.


Outside of work, she is very family-oriented, a proud auntie, dog owner, and big Disney fan.
